  1. Moorman's got leg (read my post above) but he doesn't help us enough pinning teams back in their own red zone. That is what the elite punters do quite regularly which is VERY beneficial to winning the field position part of the game. Unfortunately Punt AVG alone doesn't help you as much in the field position game IMO as opposed to great punt placement which he lacks IMO. I would guess Moorman is "mid-tier" in the majority of other punting statistics. Can you post the complete stats?
  2. There is definitely one for within the 20 yard line but what I have noticed "within the 10" it doesn't happen all that much. Often I watch other "non Bills" games where the punter pins it within the 5 twice in a game. How often do we get that from Moorman? I can't recall.
  3. I agree. From my point of view I have always thought of Moorman as overrated. Moormans distance on his punts is in the top tier but he is "mid tier" for everything else. I think he is poor at pinning punts within the 10 yard line.
  4. For our kickers, Moorman is the one that is mid-tier and replaceable. Moorman more overrated than Lindell IMO. If I were nix I would re-sign Lindell. But just get that Johnson deal done first!
  5. Yes, but to start we need to resign guys like Stevie Johnson to get to that goal.
  6. I would also add Harbaughs piss poor in-game situational coaching was bad and a factor which played in the Ravens loss as well.
  7. ^^^^^^^^^ This! Just heard this on the radio as well. The replay guy upstairs looked at it and decided that there was no need to even make a buzz to the ref to look at the play.
  8. It's never Lee's fault and when he doesn't put up any production he caused everyone else to have a great day. Let's just face it that perhaps Lee was just another face of mediocrity of the Bills franchise. Playing for a different coach, better players and a darling NFL franchise with great leaders around him did nothing for his game. Sloppy route running, lazy routes, complacency are all on him not on the franchise. Perhaps those are the reasons the Bills traded him for a 4th round pick.
  9. I always thought Lee Evans was a prime player that exemplified the Bills losing culture or the mediocrity it has been these past 11 or 12 years. I am not surprised by any of what has transpired. It looks to me in the replay is when he caught the ball, there was no urgency to secure it. More complacent. It really looks like he thinks it is going to be game over and BAM, gets stripped. He definitely could have done more to secure that ball.
  10. Surely the most overrated Bills player of our current generation within the last 20 or so years.
  11. I agree with your post PTR but it goes down hill when you say Lee Evans was " a great Bill". He was NOT a great Bill. What people don't get is that Lee Evans was part of the losing culture of the Buffalo Bills this past decade.
  12. We always hoot and holler about the Bills and all the horrible decisions our front office makes. Let's finally make a toast to them! Buddy Nix might not be so horrible at evaluating talent as some think around here.
  13. QFT Evans has no urgency in his game. The other guy just wanted it more.
  14. I think the rule is that he has to maintain control and "finish" the catch. Remember that controversial detroit game where megatron losses possesion at the end of the catch in the endzone and the call was reversed and detroit lost?
  15. I agree because Lee Evans single handidly changed the dynamics of the Ravens going to the superbowl. If he completes that catch the Ravens are going to the superbowl unless some miracle would occur. The field goal only ties the game.
  16. Lee Evans with the drop! Lazy Lee can't finish the play. Perhaps Lee you will have a more productive next year with another team after you get cut by the Ravens.
  17. As the stresses of the job get to him, he might look more and more like skeletor Jauron.
  18. Do you think a black position coach that didn't even call the teams plays would ever get a head coaching gig in the NFL? I'm just curious what this guy has accomplished in either at the college or NFL level. I find this a pretty uninspiring hire. He will surely have his work cut out for him with the Dolphins.
  19. Over/under on how many times Evans makes it on the field? Yes, you read that correctly, not balls thrown to, not catches BUT how many times he lines up and makes it on the field in the Ravens offense on sunday. What's an appropriate number here. How about 10 over/under? I think it might be over since they might use some 4 wr sets against their secondary and might see him in some 3wr set packages.
  20. Based on this alone he doesn't owe you a penny. Do you have anything on here were YOU "accept this bet"? I haven't had a chance to read this complete thread or the "bet thread" yet.
  21. Yes, you are correct. Lee Evans single handidly changed the dynamics of the Ravens playoff run.
  22. To put Lee Evans in Baltimore in perspective to Buffalo Bills, Evans makes it on the field equivalent to a Ruvell Martin. This is the value he added to Baltimore. Nix Robbed them. Was Evans in the game than more than 5 times? I remember a curl route and a 1 handed grab by him where he was on the field?
  23. What is the status of his contract with Baltimore? His status on the field is equivalent to a number 5 wr.
