Wayne Cubed replied to Heitz's topic in Off the Wall
Yea I pushed through all 10 episodes. Wasn’t impressed. They spent a lot of money, judging by the effect but there isn’t a lot of substance. It just never got going and then it was over. -
Trade Benjamin and Shady if They Don't Get THEIR QB
Wayne Cubed replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not sure McCoy's value is all that much. He will be 30 at the start of the season AND he has a fairly large contract. The Broncos just had to cut CJ Anderson because they couldn't find a trade partner. There just isn't much value in a 30-year old RB with a large contract. -
Trade Benjamin and Shady if They Don't Get THEIR QB
Wayne Cubed replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not sure if people understand but a 29 soon to be 30-year old running back with the contract Shady has, is not going to get much, if anything, in the trade market. -
So we got Dick Drew and Derby Dan....

Bills One of the Best Fits for Dez Bryant - Per ESPN

The Bills need some speed on the outside. They don't have it and Bryant won't bring that. Rodak just throwing stuff at the wall. -
Bills One of the Best Fits for Dez Bryant - Per ESPN
Wayne Cubed replied to patneiler's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
One of the best fits? Why because he's available? He can't get separation like he used to, he's lost some speed. I don't see the fit, sounds a lot like the receivers the Bills already have. -
(rumor). Bills-Browns-Giants-Crazy "Dunkirk" type tweet.
Wayne Cubed replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I mean it’s not that far fetched of a scenario. It would totally be a Browns type move. My only question would be why would the Browns not just take Allen at 1... and then pick someone else at 4. 2 and 12 isn’t nearly as nice unless what he can’t remember really really sweetens the pot. Funny though that his bio says Bills and Sabres insider ? -
Yea and as I said in the other thread, the quality of the stitched lettering is shocking. Kind of surprising from NewEra.

What if Indy takes a QB ?
Wayne Cubed replied to SteveFreeman22's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Colts have Andrew Luck. His dead cap hit for 2018 is $40m. His dead cap for 2019 is $13m. Did you also forget they traded down. Why o why would they trade down if their plan was to draft a QB? There is nothing reasonable about what you posted. -

What if every QB is available for the Bills at pick 12? -

New Era Draft Caps drop this Thursday
Wayne Cubed replied to Captain Murica's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The quality of them is shocking, the letters stitched out look like a 5-year old wrote them. Not sure what NewEra was thinking with these and some teams sayings are just awful. -
I just can’t get to this place where fans use extremes like ‘mortgaging the future’ or ‘giving up the farm’. First off the team/draft isn’t a farm that you sell off and can’t get back. And even if they give up a 1 in 2019, the Bills still have picks in rounds 2-7 AND wouldn’t you know it can draft again in 2020. The hyperboles for trade ups are crazy. Did the Bills mortgage the future with Sammy trade up? I mean they did make the playoffs 3 drafts later... without Sammy on the team. Hardly mortgaged.

Now list all the QBs who were selected past the first round who busted from that same time frame, I'll wait. You know who were 1st round picks, John Elway, Terry Bradshaw, Peyton Manning, Steve Young(supplemental draft), Otto Graham, Ben Roethlisberger, Eli Manning and Troy Aikman. Those represent 16 Super Bowl wins and 3 NFL Championships. If you throw in guys like Joe Namath, Phil Simms, Joe Flacco, Jim Plunkett, Len Dawson, Doug Williams, Bob Griese and Jim McMahon, thats 26 Super Bowl wins. Half. If you add Rodgers in there because he was a 1st rounder, thats 27. The other 25 have come from non-high first rounders. 9 of those wins are Brady/Montana. The 1st round QBs represent the most multiple SB winners. Elway, Bradshaw, Manning, Aikman, Manning, Roethlisberger, Griese and Plunkett have all won multiple times. Only Brady, Montana, Staubach and Starr have won multiples. Also, the 1st round Qbs have more Super Bowl MVPs than the non 1st rounders. And again, the majority of the non SB MVPs come from Brady/Montana. To me, it looks like picking a QB who wins multiple SBs is much more likely to happen picking one in the top of the 1st round. Picking HoF QBs? That looks like that can happen in any round. And yea you could pick a QB past the 1st round that wins a SB. Can a 1st round QB bust? Sure can but you know what? So can a players selected at 12, 22 and 53. I'm sure you don't have to look at past Bills drafts to know that.

Here we go again with a new QB
Wayne Cubed replied to RocCityRoller's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Some thoughts. The Bills are going to be a top 5 team in 2019? And then they can make their move for a QB how? How exactly are they going to do that picking from 27-32? So don't give up picks this year, which they loaded up on, but give up picks next year which they haven't? Pick a QB in 2019, which from the looks of it doesn't have great QB talent, and ignore the 2018 QB class which is rich with QB talent? -
Think plan A ..for the bills
Wayne Cubed replied to TucsonBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It’s a difficult one. You put 4 good/great prospects together in a draft and you don’t get a consensus. That was always going to happen, imo. You put any of those guys in the 2013 draft and bam, there’s consensus, I would imagine. I’d say it’s very rare that there is consensus unless the players in that group are far less talented. I agree that Rosen is the most NFL ready QB coming out but then for some it’s their ceiling that makes them the best. -
Think plan A ..for the bills
Wayne Cubed replied to TucsonBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You're assuming the Bills will have to give up this hypothetical farm to get their guy. I never said that. I said what the Jets are doing shouldn't effect Plan A, if Plan A is to go get their guy. That should still be the plan. Well, never finding your QB will also do that. -
Think plan A ..for the bills
Wayne Cubed replied to TucsonBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills were possibly ready to let Ritchie walk if he didn't take a pay cut, so I don't get how that changes Plan A. The Jets trading up has no effect on Plan A, if Plan A is to identify your guy and go get him. The Bills can still plan on doing it. Whether they are able to is another matter. "There are 4 very good/great QBs. There isn't consensus on who's the best. That doesn't mean none of them are good enough to become franchise QBS. And even if there was a consensus on the best, the Bills aren't selecting 1st overall, so would have no chance at getting that guy.
