What if he beats out McCarron and Peterman, which is entirely possible? The Bills didn’t exactly go out and get a guy that he couldn’t beat out. They haven’t handed the job to McCarron or Peterman.

Would anyone be opposed to Hurst? He would be a really good 3T, and Kyles replacement, assuming the medical checks out. 1st round talent in the 4th. The Bills would have a nasty DL.

Not really the same at all and people are being a bit lazy with their analyses of him just because he's a white blue-collar lunch pal type player. He's not Kyle Williams 2.0, certainly not even as a prospect. Phillips is a 1T run stuffing big ugly. Kyle is/was a 3T quick off the snap penetrating DT. Although this analysis says Kyle has marginal skills as a pass rusher as a prospect, it's his quick off the snap ability, that has allowed that to improve upon. Unfortunately Phillips doesn't have that and is not the type of athlete, he has to relay on his power. Saying that, Phillips is still a very good player and will rotate with Star, keeping them both fresh and freeing up the LBs, so they can roam.

Old school football guy. Also drafted McCaffrey in the top 10. The value for money for drafting a RB that high just isn’t there. He’s now in the top 5 of paid RBs in the league. Whereas a QB(and a lot of other positions) on a rookie contract gets them cheap production while you build, a running back drafted high doesn’t do that. It’s the exact opposite. And look where the best RBs last year were drafted. Would it have made more sense for the Jags to draft Watson/Mahomes and pick up someone like Kamara?

He's a 1T, and McD has already said as much. He doesn’t nearly have the same get-off that Kyle does. Its not a bad thing, btw. He’s good rotation for Star, keeps them fresh and keeps the LBs free to roam.

I really like the Edmunds and Phillips picks but the defense still has a few needs. They still need a 3T defensive tackle to replace Kyle, although nexts year DT class could end up being very, very good. LB and depth are still needs. They need another CB and some depth there. I still think pass rush will be an issue. Overall, I think they should be able to be as good as or improve on last years defense, especially the run defense.

Yea, it's problematic. Culley was a college QB at Vandy in the 70s but still, he's been coaching receivers for the majority of his career which kind of tells you a lot. Daboll doesn't seem like the guy that'll be coaching him up him up either, he's always been more of a coordinator than a positions coach. Just going to have to wait and see.

JP Losman - 31 I wouldn't want a QB getting below a 20 but saying that where Allen scored relative to good/great Qbs doesn't really correlate to him being successful or being able to read NFL defenses, imo.

Serious question, where's that person/coach currently on the Bills staff? Culley, who has spent the majority of his career coaching wide receivers? I'll give him some credit as he is a former college QB, albeit not a very good one, but it is odd that his coaching career has been mostly with receivers considering his playing career. That doesn't really mean he can coach up a rookie QB. Is it Daboll, who has been a QB coach all of 1 time and oversaw Favre and Clemens? He wasn't a QB as a player and literally has no history of developing a QB. On the service of it, that guy is not here and thats the worry. The Bills took a QB who is a project, who will need some coaching and cleaning up, without a coach on the roster to do that. Sure, the Bills have a QB coach now, in name only, but are the situations all that different? I guess the Bills have "The Process" so we wait and see if thats enough to develop Allen.

I think a major concern is, who's helping him the foot work problems on the Bills staff? Is it Culley, who's career has been mostly working with WRs?
