Rumor: Trade up discussion with Giants
Wayne Cubed replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just stop, the point has completely sailed over your head and you’re embarrassing yourself. You can use as many emojis as you like, it still doesn’t make it funny to anyone but you. You said that giving up draft assets could set this franchise back 10 years. The Bills gave up draft assets to select a WR and 3 years later, without that WR, without their 2nd round pick from the following year, without their 2011 1st round pick on the team, they made the playoffs. Tell me more about giving up draft assists and keep banging the drum, you’re doing an excellent job. Here’s to another 10 year set back. ? <——— see what I did there? -

Thank you, that was my point. -
Rumor: Trade up discussion with Giants

Man that Sammy Watkins trade really set the franchise back 10 years didn't it? Or did they just end the drought 3 years later? I can't remember. I love your plan, just keep hoping a QB lands in their lap, brilliant. And "bite the bullet" got the Bills Dareus and Mike Williams, you need to bit the bullet and have it a year where there is a QB to take. -
Rumor: Trade up discussion with Giants

This is "Trust The Process." Trading away players and dumping salaries has all led to this point, the Bills can not sit on their hands here and kick the can down the road. -

And in the 17 years of the drought the highest the Bills have drafted is 3, Marcel Dareus and 4, Mike Williams. Picking high in the draft doesn’t even guarantee one is going to drop in your lap. Make your evaluations and go get your guy! -
Bills Sign Newhouse and Bodine
Wayne Cubed replied to NewEraBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well I hope Newhouse isn’t forced into action... maybe with a 1 year deal he doesn’t make the team? -
Yup and I as I already poster he said he had no intent in moving up and liked being st 21 and 22... Then traded Glenn and moved up to 12. Why would Beane hold a press conference to calm fans down for passing on the option to trade up to 3? Do we honestly think he’s doing the things he’s doing for the fans and needs there approval?
-
Since you seem to think you can read the tea leaves, what did Beane mean when he said this... "I like the depth of the draft, especially early on in those rounds," he told the Bills' official radio program last week. "I'm excited to have five picks [in the first three rounds]. So I'm not going in, right now as I sit here, saying we got to move up or we got to move back. "I'm excited at 21 and 22 because it showed we made the playoffs, and that was big for our city and our team and the culture that Sean and I are building. So I have no intent to move up or down. We're focused right now on who we think we could get at that value." And then went and traded Cordy Glenn and moved up to 12.
-
And he also said he had no intention of moving up or down in the draft days before trading Cordy Glenn and moving up. “I like the depth of the draft, especially early on in those rounds," he told the Bills' official radio program last week. "I'm excited to have five picks [in the first three rounds]. So I'm not going in, right now as I sit here, saying we got to move up or we got to move back.” http://www.espn.com/blog/buffalo-bills/post/_/id/31327/bills-still-in-quarterback-purgatory-could-punt-big-changes-to-2019 You’re reading into this too much.

Im not assuming anything! You are. You assume he has a player he wants at 12. I’ve said if that is the case than he thinks he’s smarter than everyone else, because there is no way of knowing he can actually draft that player. He doesn’t know who is going to be drafted 1-11 therefore he can’t say, yes I’ll definitely get player XX at 12. And if he does think that, that’s dumb. I can’t explain it any more simplistically, I’m sorry. im going to have to bow out now.
-
Because what? You’re losing me here and not making much sense. I didn’t say their guy wouldn’t be their at 12. Again, you’ve said maybe their guy they want is at 12 and that that’s why they moved there. I said that would mean that Beane thinks he’s smarter than everyone else. And that’s dumb. You havent been able to defend that position and still haven’t explained how Beane knows his guy will be there at 12.
-
No, you haven’t. Your first comment was about them wanting to trade to 12 for their guy, that that’s been the target all along. Now your taking about how they rank the top 15 or 12. How the heck does Beane know for a fact, enough to give up a LT and draft capital, that their guy will be there at 12? What if he’s not? There are 11 other teams picking in front of the Bills.
-
Nope you still haven’t understood. Still have a reading and comprehension problem problem I see. I’m not talking about where you believe Rudolph is ranked or where you think he can be had. I’m not talking about where I believe Rudolph should be drafted or where is can be had. The thread is about Rudolph being “the guy” that Beane really wants. If that is the case, then Beane ranks him higher than Darnold, Rosen, Mayfield, etc. And if Beane thinks that, he is THE GUY, he needs to go get him. I know this may be difficult to understand but if Beane thinks Rudolph is the best QB in the draft and his guy, guess what, other GMs may have come to that conclusion too. Why would you risk losing out on Rudolph or whoever because you think your smarter than any other GM in the league? All it takes is Arizona jumping in front or the Dolphins taking him for “your guy” to be going to another team. So I’ll say it again, if Brandon Beane believes Mason Rudolph is his guy, he needs to go get him. Did you just say you don’t move up for a guy you grade drastically better? Are you suggesting the Jets should have traded down and still got their guy? ?? Are you sure it’s me that needs to learn? Thanks for playing.
-
Wow, comprehension problem? Lets try again, if the Brandon Beane believes Mason Rudolph is this franchises next franchise QB then you go get him. You don’t sit at 12 and wait for “your guy” to come to you otherwise you may be left empty handed.
-
I don’t think the Giants wanted to trade with the cross town team and I also think the Jets didn’t have enough capital. It would have taken their 1st in 2019 to get to #2, that wasn’t going to happen.
-
Again, if Rudolph is even their back up plan there are too many teams also looking to stay put st 12.
-
If Rudolph is their guy, they should still be trying to get to 2. You don’t trade up to 12 and hope that a franchise QB is sitting there and only you know about it. You go get him. Can’t play the “I’m smartet than every other GM” game. You’ll get burned.

The Jets Just Made a Mistake
Wayne Cubed replied to BadLandsMeanie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We don't either. I never said we did. But you said they are 100% in a better position to get their guy. What if their guy is Rosen and the Giants select him at 2? Are they still 100% better to get their guy? You make a trade to "go get your guy" when you know he's going to be there when you select. -
What are you even on about? I never said that, I know no team has told me. You said: That would mean, Beane thinks he knows how the other 11 pick in front of him are going to play out. He thinks he's smarter than everyone else. That is dumb. Would you like me to explain why? The Miami Dolphins take "the guy" Beane traded up to 12 for. What now? If Brandon Beane has a guy he wants, he needs to get to a position where 11 other teams aren't picking in front of him.
