  1. Er Vic... the rumour is for trading for him. Saying that, it is silly season for rumors. Agents putting stuff out there to drive up interest in their clients.
  2. Have you looked at their salary cap numbers? They have are about to have a ton of holes and like $3M in cap money this season. They are going to have to make decisions on A LOT of players. The cap situation is a mess there. They'll end up cutting players and getting nothing for them. It's not about how Evans fits into their offense, it's about being realistic with what needs to be done in Tampa. They have 6 draft picks and do basically nothing in FA. I'm not saying it will happen, I'm saying it's worth inquiring about with the shape that that team is in.
  3. Add Tampa to that list, they're rebuilding and maybe they'd consider moving Mike Evans
  4. I mean we are on 36 pages and Rapoport is doubling down. As I remember there were conflicting reports with the Mario Free Agency period as well. Which just added to the craziness.
  5. or Darrius Heyward-Bey He was one trick pony coming out of school. Great straight line speed (4.30 40) but had questionable hands and couldn't generate separation out on his cuts. Sound familiar?
  6. Ummm the 2016 Buffalo Bills average 24.9 ppg and were 10th in the league.... the year before that they averaged 23.8 ppg. McDermott has had offenses average 18.9 and 16.8 points per game. He literally inherited a team that scored more points than he's been able to since being in Buffalo. The one he inherited could put up nearly 25ppg. I think you may need to re look at what he inherited.
  7. As I said, it's good that he recognizes that scoring points is essential to winning and isn't just relaying on his defense. I just think that if he was in tune with the league and what was going on with offenses around the league he would have used a number like 25 ppg. 25 ppg puts a team top 10 and 9 of the top 10 scoring offenses last year made the playoffs. It's a minor detail but I think shows he's sort of paying attention maybe not fully aware of what offenses around the league are doing.
  8. I’m not trying to over analyze and I appreciate he realizes scoring is important, as obvious as a statement that is.... but people are jumping on that he said at least. He didn’t say that.
  9. Not to pick nits but the OPs quote is not the exact quote and he doesn’t say “at least 21 points”. He straight up says week in and week out you need to score 21 points. It’s in the video 2:12 https://www.wkbw.com/sports/bills/joe-b-5-takeaways-from-buffalo-bills-hc-sean-mcdermott-at-the-nfl-combine
  10. Isn't 21 ppg a bottom 10 offense, in the league? I think his magic number needs to be a bit higher but I like that he admits you have to score to win, an obvious observation.
  11. Thats the bit that makes me think there has to be more. Billionaires don’t go to poo poo places like this for a massage or a handy... they have high end escorts.
  12. I mean what exactly is there to be upset about? You were hoping to see high-quality upgrades in February before free agency even started? Free agency hasn't even started, so who exactly did the Bills pass up. They signed THE ONLY offensive lineman available who's had starting experience and they signed him for depth money. The Bills currently have Teller, Bodine, Sirles, Ducasse and Boettger under contract. They need a backup Center when Groy leaves and they need depth at the Guard position. What is the problem with signing a player that had a down year in NY but was a solid LG for the Redskins his first 2 years? He was forced into the Center role in DC but still was fairly solid. The Bills aren't going to build a dominant OL completely through free agency, again which hasn't started, so I'm not exactly sure why you've pinned your hopes on that.
  13. I think this is the only way, this offseason, the Bills get a WR1. I don't believe there is one in the draft and certainly isn't one in FA. Not sure Beane is the type to go for a big time trade.
  14. He's got a seriously cushy job at the moment. No massive pressure and he doesn't have to answer to anyone except his clients. And yea your right, it's like draft pundits, they don't have to actually prove they can do the job.
  15. As said up thread, it's possible he doesn't even want to be an NFL coach. He's got multiple clients, can ask for loads of money. He's his own boss at the moment. If he takes a coaching job he'll get to spend less time with his client(it becomes basically one guy). He'll have to answer to the team and head coach.
