  1. How about this one: 2009 San Diego Chargers Malcolm Floyd, Vincent Jackson, Antonio Gates, LaDainian Tomlinson, and Darren Sproles
  2. It's true but going into that 2012 season can you imagine what Falcons fans were thinking? Turner had just come off a 1,300 yard 11 td season. Jones was just coming off his rookie campaign. White was still looking good. Gonzales was still very effective. Only downside was Douglas. Tough call.
  3. Yes, but its about trade offs. Woods/Harvin while good, neither have been Roddy White good. Julio Jones is a beast and is easily comparable to Watkins. Gonzales is a better TE than Clay, at this point. Yea the WR3 isn't as good and there's some fall off at RB, although Turner was a beast up to that point. But IMO, the WR1, WR2, TE are as good or better that's 3/5.
  4. 2012 Atlanta Falcons: They had Roddy White, Julio Jones, Harry Douglas, Tony Gonzalez and Michael Turner. Roddy White had 1,351 yards and 7 TD's Julio Jones had 1,200 yards and 10 TD's Tony Gonzales had 900 yards and 8 TD's Michael Turner rushed for 10 TD's Harry Douglas had 400 yards Douglas is probably the weakest link but Jones is easily on par with Watkins. I'd take White at that point in his career over Harvin at this point in his. Gonzalez over Clay at there respective points in their career. Turner, while not rushing for tons of yards still went for 10 TD's.
  5. I count 9 games against teams with dicey QB situations. NYJ(x2), Jags, Eagles, Redskins, Texans, Titans, Cincy and I'd even throw KC in there because Smith hasn't thrown for a TD against the Bills defense in 8 quarters. This Bills teams is made to dominant those type of situations. Add to the mix that they now have Rex running the defense and what they did last year against the likes of Manning and Rodgers, and a lot of these writers are looking past the Bills rather quickly for what they have done in the past and in the offseason thus far.
  6. Who know's what games they would have won and what games they wouldn't have won if they played different divisions. There are way to many variables to determine that. Maybe they go to Manziel a lot earlier and he has a break out year without the distractions. Which is why SoS, which goes by last years win/loss record, isn't the best way to judge the success of a team, even after the season has been played.
  7. So essentially Hardy has been suspended for 25 games? It's odd to me that the NFL didn't take a time served approach and just fine Hardy, as he was still getting paid last year. In the end I think it'll get reduced down or Hardy might end up taking it to court like Peterson did.
  8. Juggernaut offense was the term used a lot. How were the Bills going to stop Marshall, Jeffery, Bennett and Forte?
  9. I mean c'mon: 1-3 against the AFC South with a loss to Jacksonville. 1-3 against the NFC East with a loss to Washington.
  10. Haha, I had to laugh at this article. If you can call it that.
  11. Miami, easily. Those home games also give up their biggest advantage, the heat.
  12. And it's not like having more time will help them pour over game film. They'll have all of 1 game to look at.
  13. It's a horrible analysis. For example, Buffalo has played the Chiefs for 7 straight seasons now, the Chiefs offense has scored 20 or more points 1 time, back in 2008. Road-hack has the Chiefs winning 20-17. This same defensive core, shut out the Chiefs from scoring a TD for 7 straight qtrs.
  14. If anyone thinks the Bills schedule is bad, take a look at the Dolphins: -In there first 10 games, they have 2 real home games. The Jest game is in London. -They close out the season @San Diego, home against Indy and home against the Pats*
  15. Hard to argue with the size of the NYC market... Even if it's garbage.
  16. Yup. Darelle Revis gave up a TD Doug Baldwin in the Super Bowl.... Shut down does not mean no catches ever.
  17. Consolation prize or not, I doubt the players look at there season and think "Well at least we had a winning record". They had a winning record because the eventual SB Champs laid down in week 17. I would hope they look at there season and think "Why couldn't we beat the Raiders?" or "Why couldn't we beat the Chiefs?". In my mind there is no consolation prize, that's like saying the consolation prize of the 2011 season was that the Bills beat the Patriots*. That's great and all and was exciting at the time but looking back on it, it means nothing. The Bills proceeded to go 0-5 against the Pats* after. They were no where closer to the goal, which should be to win a Super Bowl.
  18. I've already purchased my tickets for London, oddly might have a couple left over, but my choices would be: 1.) Arrowhead 2.) Philly 3.) Tenn
  19. Not sure how I feel, I've always been pretty "meh" about Jeff Tuel. He's just a 3rd string QB. IMO, he was just a favorite of Marrone. Saying that I would hope they could figure out whether he should be getting snaps with the 1's fairly quickly and maybe eliminate a guy or 2 from the competition within a few days. At some point they'll need to ramp up the snaps for the QB/QB's they think give them the best chance to win.
  20. I voted yes but I don't want the team who scores a TD given an automatic 7 points. Sports are always changing and the rules being tinkered with: Baseball: 1925 - Minimum home run distance set at 250 ft 1969 - The pitchers mound was dropped 5 inches and the strike zone was shrunken to the area from the armpits to the top of the batter's knees. 1973 - American League starts using the DH Basketball: 1979 - Three-point line is established 1994 - Three-point line is shortened to a uniform 22 ft 1997 - Three-point line is moved back to it's original length of 23 ft I like what Rugby Union does, wherever they score the try (touchdown) in the endzone, they have to kick from there. So, if they score in the middle the kicker gets to kick in the middle of the field. But if they score near the sideline the kicker needs to kicker from the side at more of an angle, like this:
  21. Except that Harbaugh took over more of the offensive game planning and play calls in 2014. So your sentence should read: Look what happened to Kapernick when Harghbaugh took over more of the offense. He wanted Kapernick passing more. Look what happened. http://blogs.mercurynews.com/kawakami/2014/02/04/49ers-points-of-emphasis-going-into-2014-xxx/
  22. They actually have about $26MM in dead cap. Compare that to the Bills $7MM. I suppose the other problem would be the player doesn't have any guaranteed money in the later part of his contract. So he could hold out. Signing a new deal wouldn't alleviate the signing bonus from the previous contract would it? I suppose all this doesn't really matter if the salary cap is expected to rise as much as it is.
