  1. That's correct, my point was more to the fact that the original poster said sitting out a year wouldn't help him get drafted. To that point, it didn't really hurt Robert Quinn or Dorial Green-Beckham, they were both drafted. Collins if he would have been drafted and sat out wouldn't have hurt his draft stock as much as some would have you believe. Yea the team who drafted him wouldn't have the opportunity to draft him but another team would.
  2. So basically, you think Aaron Rodgers would have developed into the QB he is on any team in the NFL? Mike McCarthy and Tom Clements recognized that he was throwing the ball incorrectly and inefficiently and then changed it, which ultimately led him to be the QB he is today. You think every team would recognize this and do that?
  3. Worked out OK for Dorial Green-Beckham, picked in the 2nd round this year 40th overall after sitting out the entire 2014 season. He was one of the highest rated receivers after not playing football for a year and it could be argued he only dropped to the 2nd round because of off the field issues.
  4. Well if you're the Jest you only get a monetary fine for tampering, see Revis.
  5. Why? They aren't going to the police. That would have been their first step. Instead they decided to ask a lawyer for their options. Take that for what it's worth.
  6. First step in trying to hold someone accountable is obviously going to a lawyer. I mean geez, who would go to the police.
  7. I think Rodak is just guessing, La'el can go literally wherever he wants, his odds of being right are pretty good. Also he's left himself some outs: "unlikely", or "I wouldn't expect".
  8. He tweeted the same exact thing about 12 hours ago... he just wants clicks. Mike Rodak @mikerodak · 12 hrs 12 hours ago Rex might be having dinner with La’el Collins tonight, but I wouldn’t expect the Bills to land him.
  9. Yes but Occum's Razor... Although I could of sworn it was Occam. Must be another guy.
  10. I hear El Pegual Desportes y Entretenimiento needs a new sponser...
  11. I'm wondering if they could offer Collins a good sponsorship deal or hook him up with a company?
  12. These local reporters are way more into this than the reporters during "Mario Watch". I assume it's because of the murder investigation tied to his story.
  13. Can you imagine Collins agent, "Hey La'el, how do you feel about meeting Joe Philbin for dinner" or "Hey La'el, how do you feel about meeting Rex Ryan for dinner"
  14. As far as his contract is concerned, per the CBA, he's locked into what he would be getting as an UDFA. So $435,000 his first year that than increases his 2nd and 3rd year. Now if El Pegual says "Hey if you cut my grass on the weekends, I'll pay you $20,000/hr" I'm not sure what the NFL can do. EDIT: I'm wondering if the Bills and/or other teams offer Collins a nice sponsorship deal that'll put a little extra money in his pocket
  15. Right and what did those picks generate? The Hasselback one got the Packers nothing. Jamal Reynolds, who lasted all of 4 seasons in the NFL. Torrance Marshall, lasted 3 years in GB did nothing of note. So wasted those picks... It did nothing for them.
  16. I love this thought process, as if there is someone out there that gets it right everytime. No team gets their picks right all the time. GMs get it wrong. Coaches get it wrong. And surprise surprise analysts get it wrong.
  17. But some would chalk that up to a kid making a mistake... We all did it, apparently.
  18. No i get your point, but you're pointing to teams that have had solidified QB's at their position. They have the luxury of taking a risk, if you can call it that, on a QB. What harm will it do if they are wrong? None. You said that Green Bay has selected 12 QB's and 3 have turned out ok, I'd strike Brooks from that list but add Rogers. That's 9 QB's selected that failed. Did they have any effect on the team? No. They could have had 11 picks fail and it wouldn't have had an effect. That's the luxury they have.
  19. You're pointing to teams that have the luxury of being set at the QB position. What about the Browns? They've selected 8, since 1999, non of them have been solutions for them at the position. The Jest have selected 8 since 2000, the best of that group? Chad Pennington? Mark Sanchez? Still haven't found the guy.
  20. No he can't sign a deal with escalators. He is locked into the deal he will get as an UDFA. It's in the CBA.
  21. What facts? Read what is known about the case, no one is accusing him of being guilty but what actually happened speaks volumes about his character. http://deadspin.com/fsus-karlos-williams-not-charged-in-domestic-battery-in-1658022701
  22. He's an UDFA, the terms are very different then a UFA. He can't just get whatever. He will get base salary when he signs. http://overthecap.com/what-can-lael-collins-earn-as-an-undrafted-free-agent/ Basically the most he can get next year $435,000
  23. His GF decided to not come in for questioning therefore no charges were brought. She posted pictures of bruises on FB, then took them down. It definitely wasn't just a shouting match.
