The Pittsburgh Steelers, Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys say hello. Antonio Brown, all 5'10" of him, led the Steelers in red zone receiving TDs with 8. Randall Cobb, all 5'10" of him, led the NFL in red zone receiving TDs with 10. Dez Bryant, 6'2", also had 8 red zone receiving TDs. In fact, 50% of the top ten in receiving red zone TDs are by receivers of the shorter variety. Yes the Bills don't have a QB but the WRs I listed are dominant play makers. Scoring TDs is about getting the ball into your playmakers hands, tall or short. Good QBs know that. Proof of that is in the 50/50 split of red zone receiving TDs.

Dareus Suspended for Game 1 of 2015 Season
Wayne Cubed replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To be fair to that game it was more the Orton led offense couldn't beat the Raiders. The Bills were horrible on the ground and Orton threw 2 interceptions. Carr had a decent game, take away the pass he had to Thompkins and his game isn't even decent. It was the running game were Dareus was missed the most, although the Raiders didn't rush for a TD they did rush for 145 yards. -

Jerseys I have: 12 - Jim Kelly (home) 13 - Stevie Johnson (away throwback) 23 - Marshawn Lynch (home throwback) 31 - Jairus Byrd (home ugly navy) 55 - Kelvin Sheppard (away) 78 - Bruce Smith (away, old Champion jersey) The only regrettable one is Sheppard. Took a gamble after his rookie year that he'd be the Bills MLB for years to come. Oops. Since the Sheppard jersey I haven't bought one, I'm thinking about maybe a Watkins one this year but as I don't have good luck picking jerseys of players who stay with the Bills I might not. Or maybe go Mario Williams or Dareus if he gets resigned.

Bring Back Spikes--edit signed with ne***
Wayne Cubed replied to billsgpr88's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Adam SchefterVerified account @AdamSchefter 4m4 minutes ago Patriots have signed free agent linebacker Brandon Spikes to a one-year deal, per @FieldYates and me. #markman50 back to the Patriots** he goes -
Have to be honest, I've watched that YouTube clip of the ACC Championship game and as far as his passing game goes, nothing jumped out at me. He looked great at extending plays and avoiding the rush but I wasn't really wowed with him as a passer. Even the wheel route TD he threw was off his back foot. There wasn't really any "multiple reads" either. I can see why he went in the 6th round. Saying all that, it's entirely possibly he's sat for 4 years in Baltimore and has developed his game. IMO, even though Rex likes him, it's a long shot that he wins the starting job.

The problem I always have had with them is that they assign a point value to a player even though they have no idea what that player was suppose to be doing on that play. That becomes increasingly difficult with OL and DL if they don't know who has what assignment. If an error is made, a block missed for example, how do they know which player to assign it to? Sure it's obvious in some situations but what do they do in the others? Do they just assume it's the fault of the player who isn't as good? With Mario, if his job on a play is to hold the outside edge and he does that well, do these guys know that? Or are they just looking at the person who made the tackle.

Inside Buffalo's 2015 Draft Room
Wayne Cubed replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
With the labels on... I think that's round 3, if we go by the Steelers board. Special is actually the first tier. -
From an independent arbitrator? Mostly just because of what happened to the suspensions of players for BountyGate.
-
Can we expect a "Cut him before training camp..." article?
-
I say let me think that, who cares. I think Goodell hearing the appeal is the only way the suspension sticks.

So then the Patriots** will immediately reistate McNally and Jastremski because all they were talking about was weight loss, right?!? Didn't think so.
-
@gdowning14: The Patriots say Jim McNally referred to himself as the "deflator" because he was trying to lose weight. http://t.co/Hem37MZIDH

So now McNally referred to himself as the "Deflator" because he was trying to lose weight. Haha you can't make this stuff up.

You just extrapolated out almost half a season for FJ and then attempt to discredit McCoy who actually played and got that yardage in all 16 games. I mean, come on.

5/13: EJ Manuel Talks Bills' QB Competition
Wayne Cubed replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He was "in the draft room" and yet on draft night he somehow got the 3rd round pick wrong. Granted, he got the Darby pick correct. -
Jimmy Garoppolo and the future of the AFC East
Wayne Cubed replied to johnwalter's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
EJ Manuel is out of the league? If the BIlls drafted any one of those QB's they wouldn't be on the team any more besides Garoppolo. You do know that right? They haven't played well enough to secure starting positions on any team. Right, but his measuring stick for "doing a better job" is because they happen to be starting. I don't believe that's a good measuring stick. Lots of players bounce around to different teams and start and play. That doesn't mean the team that drafted them was successful. -

Again, so what... what does that have to do with draft success. Lots of players have started games. The Bills will have players they drafted starting games next year. I don't get why you think a player starting equals draft success. These players also haven't cemented themselves on any team. Haven't won a playoff game. Have lost their starting spots and will most likely go on to being nobodys in NFL history. How many are going to be starting next year? In 2 years? You don't know that answer because these players aren't good enough. There is only 1 player that will definitely be starting next year. Tom Brady. That is their only successful QB drafted and it was luck. -

How many are they going to have next year? EDIT: If you don't think the Patriots** lucked into Brady, I don't know what to tell you. They drafted him in the 6th round. How many 6th round draft picks have gone on to become one of the greatest QB's of all time. -
Jimmy Garoppolo and the future of the AFC East
Wayne Cubed replied to johnwalter's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is luck, how are they doing something right? Because they are starting in the NFL does not make them success stories. Like I previously said, lots of QB's have started in the NFL. That is not proof of success. -
Jimmy Garoppolo and the future of the AFC East
Wayne Cubed replied to johnwalter's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oh no problem, his theory is that because the Patriots have QB's that are starting in the NFL that that is success. -

Hoyer wasn't drafted by the Patriots** Ok, and how does that make them successful? Because they are starters? There have been hundreds of QB's who have started in the NFL... they arent' all successful.
