  1. Didn’t play football, but I played catcher in baseball in high school. The center-QB relationship has always struck me as being very similar to the catcher-pitcher relationship. It’s definitely to your benefit to know each other’s tendencies and develop good chemistry. Non-verbal cues are also way easier when you know each other well.
  2. Record number of overall points scored in the NFL this season. If it was baseball they’d need to deaden the ball and bring the mound up a few inches.
  3. The D stepped up and made a massive play when we needed it. We clearly have faults, but I’m not complaining about a dub either.
  4. Neither were Zo or Kyle at the point in their careers when they were the leaders. Maybe it’s more of a natural elder statesman type role than long term solution.
  5. A bit in the Bills Buzz email this morning got me thinking about this (quoted below). Could Jerry be settling into that post-Kyle, post-Zo leadership vacuum on the defensive side of the ball we’ve all been talking about? I know he’s been a bit of a wildcard personality in his career with us and there’s no love lost between him and the zebras. (I had to laugh at the holding call he did draw, where he was basically mauled to the ground. Like, ahh, so that’s what it takes for #55 to finally get that call.) From today’s Bills Buzz: What was less evident to viewers was the impact Hughes had on the sideline. Frazier lauded the defensive end's attitude during the tumultuous first half and talked about how Hughes has actively filled the leadership role previously occupied by Kyle Williams and Lorenzo Alexander. "I was so encouraged by Jerry yesterday," Frazier said. "Early in the game, we had fell behind. Jerry was so positive and encouraging his teammates on the sideline. I remember saying to myself, 'Man, that's what you need out of one of your star players who's a leader.'
  6. Why does everything need to be superlative all the time? “Most ever” “worst ever” “signature win” “best dressed”... Just let it happen, man. Not like anyone here has a lick of influence on the outcome anyway.
  7. Great thread. Nobody’s ever pointed this out before.
  8. Well, at least now we know what it takes to get called for holding #55.
  9. Edmunds with two opportunities for INTs. I know he’s made his own bed, but I feel for the kid.
  10. They’re not at the game live. They watch a broadcast in the booth from OP and call the game that way. Guaranteed to be delayed.
  11. People staying home, staying safe for reasons we’re not allowed to talk about, I think it’s a good move.
  12. I see a lot of helmets aimed at knees. Sure looks like a Greggggg defense.
  13. 100%. And the overall excitement and volume of the exchange increases at a rate proportional to my current distance from One Bills Drive.
  14. I never spite these guys for holding out, negotiating, leveraging whatever they have to. So few NFL players get the opportunity and so little is guaranteed to them anyway. Make your paper, dude.
  15. I usually only avoid this place for the typical pants-on-head HOT TAEKS after a bad beat. The Bills Reddit page is usually more good natured and funny about it.
  16. No idea how reliable this random source is, but someone shared it with me, so I am sharing it with you.
  17. The color guy’s voice sounds like Mike Catalana, it’s annoying the hell out of me.
  18. I’m with you. This whole thing is pants-on-head stupid, and no, not just because the Bills are impacted.
  19. F’in up is one thing, not owning it is another, but being the first to screech at your teammates for their own miscues, IN THE SAME GAME, is some next-level douche canoe material.
  20. Lol at Tompa waving four fingers around like an a-hole until somebody had to go get him.
