I think as long as we don't run him into the ground, we'll be in good shape. This year we have FredEx, Brown, Williams, and Boobie as possible change of pace candidates. As long as our other guys run well enough, we can distribute nicely to ensure he has a longer career. Having RB depth is really important if we're going ground and pound. I hope that Brown proves his worth during the off/preseason, if we can keep him on board, and have Brown/Williams as young depth for a few years, it'd be great. Unfortunately that'd likely mean a cut of Fred, so I'm not sure how I feel about it.

Republicans have political momentum, so why not. This thread is an interesting read. I wonder how many of the suggestions would actually happen, considering the red tape and lobbyist interests.

They went 11-5, which is usually good enough for the playoffs. That team was stacked, it was his first year starting, and he put up average numbers, good enough to be 11-5. You're fooling yourself if you think any QB on this team will have a better season than that. All we need is competent play, which he has shown, and maybe EJ or Tyrod can as well, and we'll improve on last year's 9-7 record. Edit: Corrected

I hope our young guys step up, but if not... this is the best team Cassel has been on, imo. Especially if our OL gels. So I'm pretty confident we'll get at least average QB play this year, and that's all we "need" to make the playoffs.

I hope KW becomes a coach after he's done. Specifically for us.

Not so sure about that. Some QBs have it, and will have it, no matter what situation they go to, but most QBs have to grow in the right system. I don't think we would have developed Wilson effectively.

It'd also be smart to if we get any production out of FredEx, Brown, Williams, or Boobie. McCoy is basically guaranteed to be good. FredEx can be productive when healthy but is getting up there. If Brown or Karlos come out on fire, it'd be dumb not to take some of the pressure off of McCoy.
