  1. Maybe because everyone else in our division has upgraded and addressed their needs better than us. Thus, making us worse in terms of competing with them. Jets - Cromartie, LT, and Jason Taylor Miami - Brandon Marshall, Richie Incognito, Pats - Holt, Crumpler, (Healthy Brady) (Walker back)
  2. He has no leverage now...
  3. Fish, I like your post alot. Just be careful about your A,B, and C comments. Many fans here don't wait to hear the same old complaints even though they are correct and valid observations. I am anxious to see what Gailey can do too. Heck, if he can productivity out of Thygpen and Stewart...think what he can do with a more talented Brohm, Fitz, Brown, or Edwards? Let the season begin.
  4. I'm on record saying I hope we keep him. A 5th round pick isn't value and I would like to think Coach Gailey can get some production out of him. GO BEAST MODE!!!!!
  5. I agree with you but you don't have to be so harsh. Easy there....
  6. Perhaps a "bit of a stretch" with my "new found opitimism." I stand corrected Thurman#1. By the way, I always seem to enjoy reading your post.
  7. Don't mess with TEXAS!!! I still have a bitter taste in my mouth for Texas after the Mike William debacle. Since then right or wrong I don't prefer the Bills to draft guys from TU. How stupid is that?
  8. Good post and I concur. The real debate althought its moot would have been getting Jason Campbell. I know lots of you don't think highly of him for valid reasons. I happen to like the guy and think he would have been a solid upgrade in our QB spot. However, he probably isn't the long term answer and that's maybe why the team didn't pursue him. Personally, I would feel alot better about this season with him as our starting QB. I just keep having flashback of last years game against the Saints. He looked like an allstar QB. I know its just one game but I haven't gotton that type of feeling with any of our QBs since the Kelly days. Anyways this is a dead issue so lets move on.
  9. I think its too early to compare the QB's. Montana's career is finshed and his stats are set in stone. Trent is young very talanted and still maturing. I really like the combo of coach Chan Gailey and QB Trent Edwards. The comparsions can begin after their legacy ends. We al know that Gailey can produce QB's. This is exactly what Trent needs. I wouldn't be surprised if Trent's number surpass Montana when his career is over. Coach Gailey + Trent Edwards = Wins wins and more wins....Prediction Trent will appear in 4 pro bowls and win a super Bowl MVP in three years. Coach Gailey will be the best hire since Marv Levy and be named the coach of the year. Bill Polian will be shining Buddy Nix's shoes....... GO BILLLS!!!!!!!!!
  10. So Spider what do we do as fans only legitimize comments and post that are positive in nature. Are we to turn off the TV, internet, and not read the papers regarding Bills information, updates, etc...Are you the type of Bills fan that turns off the Tv and Radio after a Bills loss? Not read the papers/internet the next day due to the negative results. I am the type of guy that likes to take in all the media information I can regarding the Bills even if its mostly negative. The NFL Network update was current and up to date. It is not like I was throwing old negative info in everyones face....Just wanted to get others opinions.
  11. I am waiting to see an inspired post by you? What makes it so unispiring?
  12. Quinn? Why would we even consider him? What is wrong with our current QB roster? I have faith that Chan can make Edwards a great QB like he did with Thygpen and Stewart. Come on give the coaching staff a chance. Quinn is a bum and not an upgrade.
  13. This guy has it all wrong. The Bills will be in the top 15 and maybe top 10 by the end of the season. I would bet my house on it. How are teams going to stop our three headed monster attack of Spiller, Jackson, and Lynch. Hardy and Nelson are going to have breakout years and Lee is going to make the pro bowl. Gailey will work his magic and make Edwards look like the second coming of Jim Kelly. We will be dominant on defense with our secondary averaging 2-3 picks a game. Teams will be hard pressed to run on our the 3-4 scheme with added additions of Troup, Davis, and Callaway. Maybin is going to be a beast of a pass rusher. Not to mention with Bruce D back and Moorman and Lindell. Need I say more...I would be surprised if this team doesn't make a playoff run. I know you guys are probably thinking I am crazy but hey stranger things have happened.
  14. Very bold but I like your positive attitude. Go Bills!!!!!!
  15. Good post. I believe athletes are overpaid but there is little we can do about it. Question does more accountability equal more wins? I hope so...
  16. Just bought my new SPILLER jersey. It is going to replace my Lynch jersey that a bought before I knew he was a complete fool. My prediction is Spiller will (1) Beat CJ's rushing record wthin 3 years. (2) Most likely be rookie of the year (3) Led us into the playoffs this year. (4) Have the most combined yards ever as a rookie (5) Have the most td's scored for any running back in a season (I think LT has the record)
  17. I was hoping we were going to get him. Guess I am a moron too.
  18. Good post and very well said. My feelings exactly except one thing. I want the improvements to start "yesterday." Another words, I want to win now....
  19. I loved your post. Way to back yourself up. People can't say much when you deliver the goods. I think I will be doing the same thing midway through the season.
  20. I am here in San DIego and know the SD team pretty well. He will beat out a WR named Buster Davis who has done very little since joining the team. I don't really know how many throws he is going to get with them having Gates and (Jackson when they sign him to a learn term contract). No way they will let him go! IMO, Josh will be way more effective in the high powered SD offense. I believe his numbers will shatter the Bills numbers. I am happy for him because he was a class guy throughout his Bills career.
  21. Point well taken and I think you meant Baltimore right?
  22. Thurman you stated: The Bills have already understood that they are likely to be lousy this year. If they hadn't accepted that, they would have picked up Clausen or Pike and an LT. We're rebuilding. You don't seem ready to accept it, but it's very obvious that the Bills brass have. We're going to be lousy this year. If we're still lousy in 2012, they'll start to think about canning Gailey. Be careful with your statements because you might offend some people here. Additionally, you may get labeled a troll. Football wise I think your comment is "spot on."
  23. Be careful Bufloblood the fans here might attack your negative connotations. You might get abel a troll.
  24. Very good post. I am hoping Gailey has something in store for our opponents.
