Name me one starting NFL qb who Trent Edwards...
mpl6876 replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To 1billsfan, I totally feel your frustration. You get it and it's so clear to you that TE isn't very good to say the least. You have all the evidence to prove your case and future probability is on your side. Yet, the "light bulb" doesn't go on for anyone else. I have had similar experiences. The "blinders" are on and they won't see it. They won't even admit your most likely correct. What you will get in return is a lot of hateful responses. -
Chargers shopping Vincent Jackson -AJ playing hardball

I agree with that statement. How sad is that? Makes me frustrated as a fan. Washington has/had pretty much the same 3 glaring weaknesses as us. No coach, weak QB, and No LT. Look what they've done. Now, I know that haven't had much success in the past....Wondering if their fans would accept/think we aren't exactly in a win now mentality? That's the difference between a owner who wants to win at any cost vs an owner who has lost touch with winning.... The sad thing is we as fans can't really do anything about it. We are the one who suffer. The ones who continue to stick by our time despite the horrendous errors. I want to win so bad! Kinda makes me sick to my stomach... Sorry for the rant. Just frustrated... -
I couldn't have said it any better. Very good post. With that said, let's all hope Chan can lead us to a playoff appearance and more...

I live here in San Diego and watch the Chargers every week by default. These two guys are the "real deal." I would "love" to have these two guys on our team. If Gailey can develop Edwards or Brohm I think our offense would be scary good. Make the move Ralph! -
Very hard sentence for me to accept. Yet, I think your right.

DrDankenstein, cause it's all we got? not trying to be facetious either. he cant come out and say in the media "I dont like any of our players at Tackle, theyre all bums, we're in trouble there". even if he does believe it. you cant throw guys under the bus. also, as Doc mentioned, Chan has been keeping the competition open for every spot on the roster, and every starting spot. this keeps guys motivated. Can't we say this about out QB situation too?

I can appreciate all the talk and support for signing Troy Smith. I understand he comes at a very low price. Can't the same be said about Jason Campbell who in IMO is hands down a better more proven NFL QB. The Bills didn't sign him and I would be shocked if they sign Smith or any other QB. We just have to hope one of these guys can produce.

I think we can debate his arm strength all day long and we will have many differing opinions. My take is that he has a good enough arm to be a quality NFL QB. The real question is does he have most of the others factors a QB needs to be a solid NFL QB. For example, vision to read defenses, leadership, and confidence to name a few. My take is he falls quite short in these areas. I feel like he doesn't have that "it" factor... We can hope coach Gailey can be successful in assisting TE with his shortcomings. Note: I remember when Jimbo was our QB. He had that "it" factor, that swagger, the confidence. I remember always thinking (if we were loosing at the end of the game) let's get the ball back and we will win the game. It was such a great feeling to have. I have a rush thinking about it right now. I would love to experience this again. -
Personally, I enjoy reading his articles and agree with what he has to say for the most part. What do you guys think?

Point well taken and I am not he to get into a pissing contest with you or anyone else. There is validity to what you have said but it is also flawed. Flawed why? Optimist on this board are saying the same things too. I am not going to get into the specifics but you guys are constantly repeating yourselves too. Often with disregard to common sense , facts, and statistical data. As a pessimist, I too get tired of hearing the same old rhetoric over and over. It cuts both ways and maybe it is something that you and others may not have considered. Not trying to start controversy. Just maybe a viewpoint for others to consider. -
In Gaily's last interview he said he has 3! guys not 4?

Come on robot, "I'm sure the pessimist crowd will read that as Brown is a bust." That's just a cheap shot. Noone in their right mind would say that at this point. -

Reminds me of a story I would like to tell you. My older brother was in his teens and attending Bishop Timon High School. It was known to have strict Jesuit priests in charge of maintaining discipline. My brother was a freshman and new to the school. He broke the rules when he was caught talking in the hallway. A Jesuit priest named Father Tim was the head disciplinarian. He observed my brother's actions and accordingly slapped my brother in the left side of his cheek. My brother looked at father Tim exposed his right cheek and responded " father the good book says to turn the other cheek." -
Rabbit, I always seem to agree and enjoy your comments. IMO, you represent a man of logical reasoning. I can see the flags flying so high and bright red... With that said, I will not be commenting much anymore. I stand by everything I said but I think it's best for everyone that I keep my big mouth shut...

Nobody Talks About Fitz in this race, why not?
mpl6876 replied to JustMaxx's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Very well stated. Fitz isn't the future, isn't a starting NFL QB, and is a decent to good back up QB. I would be surprised if the Bills brass doesn't see it this way too. In short, he is not the future for the Bills. I think what we will see is Edwards starting and giving way to Brohm. Eventually, we will all know whether he is our franchise QB or a bust. I think this may have been Gailey's plan all along. If he's not a franchise QB, we take a chance in the next draft. -
Optimistic, Excited Bills fans...click here!

The season is about to start and this what i am excited about: (1) I am excited to see a new coach on the sidelines who commands respect, is organized, and shows some kind of emotion. It will be fun to watch coach Gailey in action. I think Gailey will play to win and not to loose like Dick J did. (2) I am excited to see a new Bills 3-4 defense. (3) I can't wait to see Spiller in action... (4) I love our special team return guys and I think we will see many great returns. Love watching Bruce D in action. (5) I am excited to see the "young guys" perform. (ie) Maybin, Troup, Hardy, Nelson, Easley, Wood, Levitre, Mckelvin, Bryd, Etc... (6) I am excited to see our secondary perform. I am hoping for lots of picks. (7) I am excited about opening game vs the Dolphins. I am hoping we can beat them at home and get some confidence. I think it's a game we can win. This is what I am excited about. Wrong assumption to think I am not excited about watching the Bills becuse I am a negative posting pric k...I have plenty to be excited about. I can't wait to watch some football.....Go Bills -
Point well taken Fish, I will try my best.

I wouldn't call Perry Fewell a bad defensive coordinator. I thought he was one of the few bright spots last year.He is the new DC with the NYG. I am hoping he does well there and maybe he can land a HC job soon. -
How boring this forum would be if there were no differing opinions? How boring would life be if everyone thought the same way? There would be no need for politics, no need for expert opinions, no consumers digest, one universal religion, etc... Just a thought I have been having...
