I dont think mcdermott is a bad coach. But i also dont think he is that great. how many of those wins are josh masking poor drafts and bad coaching? he has shown the ability to get out coached by the same dude over and over again. and for a guy who is always preaching about fundamentals and discipline. His defense lacks those things. Or they are sticking to scheme soo well that other teams clown them. hearing players after the last of the chiefs losses in the playoffs say they never saw the chiefs doing the things they did on tape before. But was shown on everynetwork of them doing those exact things all year says they arent prepared or coached well. like i said i dont think mcdermott sucks. But he isnt that good either. josh is saving a bunch of people jobs

Are we sure that thats the type of DT he wants and has nothing to do with what mcdermott wants or how he plays them? Truth is probably its a little bit of both.

For how much this team continues to invest in defense what makes you think they get it right this time? the defense has always gotten more resources but the results are what? Im not sure i trust them to put it together. Its year 8 or whatever it is. At what point do you stop letting these dudes cook?

Unfortunately it isnt working out. And its much harder to find a QB then it is a headcoach. Its possible the bills underperformed for too long. But were still really good. Winning a championship is hard. And sadly i think this chapter is done. I think a strict step dad type is what josh needs now. No more friends and picking your own OC. Harbaugh would be pretty fun if he ever wanted to leave michigan.

Feel like the main point is you cant have a top tier qb and not win a championship for much longer before you have to move on. If you cant figure it out. The team shouldnt be forced to be his training wheels to learn it. Some guys figure it out faster than others. but you just cant waste a top tier qb in his prime. Anything less than a championship is failure. Fair or not. Thats the measuring stick when you finally have a qb.
