  1. he was despised in the locker room in Chicago He is a different breed of cat. His arm is not nfl caliber that is why they looked elsewhere. roll up the mats. Kyle orton will take the first opportunity exit stage right. Your idea that he should play is depressing in that it means the season is over.
  2. anything after the top 3 rounds is a crapshoot. Often these are picks for depth or need. Expecting impact players is a bit optimistic, but gladly accepted. Jemarcus Russel should cause concern. Youboty not so much.
  3. uh no he is not good. He has a noodle arm and buckles under any kind of rush. Hope he never needs to get his uni dirty.
  4. As iinsurance you could do worse. If he sees the field in meaningful minutes the season is over.
  5. No he isn't. Insurance. And Safe Auto not Allstate.
  6. Getting a first round talent in the 7th, a first round lb in the second, trading a 3rd rounder for a first round de....talent is abundant and the cupboards are full.
  7. No they pretty much suck. They replaced Peppers with Allen, and Houston is average. They were run on at will last year and will be again due to the age noted above. McClellin is a square peg in a round hole. The Cutler deal tied their hands draft wise and they are now feeling the affect of not being able to draft great players as opposed to filling needs. Your right it isn't last season, your key players are all one year closer to retirement.
  8. There are 8 home games, with possibility of 3 more. Other than the quality of product on the field, the single biggest factor contributing to attendance is fan experience factor. Make it easy to get in and out, comfortable, provide high quality distraction and make it exclusive, i.e. less seating. This drives up demand, price of admission, and allows sellouts to advertise the experience to the longing. This the new NFL, "No Effin Losers"
  9. I post infrequently, but check in for the vibe. I'm bipolar this place is perfect.
  10. My Asus tablet is wonky...but I felt some levity was in order.

DW Well....
  12. I hope your hunch bears fruit, for all our sakes.
  13. I am by no means a pro scout, but i had the opportunity to see this guy in camp and on the televised preseason. In practice he is coach's dream focusing on minute details. When the bullets fly he simply doesn't have the requisite athletic ability. Tuel may lack arm strength and the other knocks, but he is at least an athlete. I have not chimed in on theEJ civil war, but the purpose of a back up is to be able to play if called upon. I just never saw it. Perhaps that is why no game experience. On the bright side maybe he is a talisman and wherever he goes the starter never gets hurt.
  14. +1. A little less coaching, more competition.
  15. If this is anything other than a blatant stab at the Bears playbook, then I have to question Whaley's ability. This guy is worse than Tuel and he can't hit water if he fell out of a boat. If stays on the roster after the opener, it is a waste of a roster spot. He should not see the field. Go ahead flame away.
  16. Howdy neighbor! Lovie. He of the Kyle orton Rex Grossman lovie's. If there was a serious consideration that he was an alternative to Jay, they wouldn't have let him walk. In any event, he is not as good as we made him look today.
  17. I live in Chicago. That was never a question. Draft a qb maybe, but everyone agreed McCown was a serviceable back up at best. The Bills made him look like Aaron Rogers.
  18. Not a lot to be excited about on any of the first teams versus Bucs first teams. Help me please. The d still gave up 17 points to Mccown and he blows.
  19. yeah the 64th rated player voted by his peers is spotty. That Rodgers guy is shyte too.
  20. I could care less what ESPN says for the very reasons I stated. Here in Chicago they send greenstein here every summer so he can visit his wife's family and they fawn over the cubs. Why? The cubs are more popular by 10 to 1 than the sox. The do bball specials while the hawks are running to the cup. In other words they dont report stories they create fluff to support product they are vested in or has the market size they need to sell ads. If the Bills had a dallas like following but still sucked they would the lead like well dallas.
  21. This is about nfl brand dollars. They bankroll a movie whose plot involvesa moribound franchise that rises from the ashes through draft magic. And then life imitates art and that franchise depicted in the movie finds its savior only to learn their most dynamic receiver is going to sit for a weed violation. Manziel or Hoyer are screwed without Gordon. And I don't believe for one minute that they trade us their pick if they did not believe the league wasn't going to go easy on Gordon. A scrambling JFF in College Station is one thing. A scrambling JFF in Heinz field could end up a homicide.
  22. ESPN has totally morphed into brand platform and has lost any credibility as a legitimate source of sports analysis. If they don't cover it they dont talk about it (hockey). If they do they try to create stories instead of reporting them. Their nba coverage is nauseating simply because they seem to think the interest level is on par with the nfl. It isn't. The fact that the Texans are ahead of us, finished 2-14 last year because their qb sucked, drafted a de in round one and somehow scares other teams in the league is laughable. Unless Clowney can run the read option they are in trouble, but the houston market is huge and they don't want to insult anyone.
