  1. That every position is not filled with a pro bowl caliber player and equally accomplished back up, executing and putting up numbers superior to every benchmark ever created. You know the little things.
  2. This article makes little to no sense. It assumes that EJwill make no starts over the next 2 1/2 years. If they looked at all QB's who started 14 games of their first 20 then I can see where it is going. The other article takes that approach. Personally, Orton will not be under center here next year. If he does well he can opt out before the Superbowl and up his salary. If he gets hurt or sucks, well then another veteran will be here and he and EJ will compete along with anyone acquired in the draft. There is a possibility EJ will start more games for the Bills. Remote, but possible.
  3. Poor man. But you miss the point, 3 or 4 plays whether they were eliminating mistakes or executing a miss and he wouldn't be on the bench. People forget the game where he led a 2 minute drill wo his earpiece working. He was natural and relaxed and successful. That EJ would still be starting.
  4. If he doesn't throw the two picks and hits Sammy on the crossing play he is probably still starting this week. That's 3. I think thepost has merit.
  5. Just the opposite. Orton is a terrible short to medium passer and wildly inaccurate He is immobile and not a great thrower after he takes off. 3 yards and a cloud of dust offense and strong d from here on out.
  6. How about catching balls that hit you in the hands. That would be a good start. If AP were here Woods' job would be to block.
  7. Wtf? If we had Adrian Peterson his job would be to block. Execute the game plan and there will be check waiting. Win and others will want you. Its not his or any wrs right to play for personal stats. And if, I reiterate if, Orton can get the opposing d to back off the los we will see more fredex and cj.
  8. Sammy is a fre#$ing rookie. He got one qb fired. Time for him to catch the damn ball. It isn't his perogative to decide which ones he wants to try and catch. Go after the effin ball, that's what your paid for.
  9. No they are attacking our QB because that is what defenses do...real football, not Madden.
  10. +1. Same with the Bears. I know the backup is "always better" than the starter, but Orton lost his job to Tim effin Tebow and he blows. Pegula won't do anything drastic til after the season. I think he learned from his experience with the Sabres. After the season is a different story.
  11. He is injury insurance period. I saw his act here in Chicago. The big complaint ...floats the ball and gets his wrs punished. You can wish all you want, the fact remains that at present we have no starting caliber passer or otherwise on the roster.
  12. No Orton does suck and that's a fact. He is not an NFL caliber anything but a clipboard holder.
  13. 19k posts. Are all 19k pure tool like this one? Poor choice of hobby.
  14. I hate night games. 12 cst or 3-3:30 are perfect for a.Sunday. I know I am in the minority on this.
  15. I was at all four of those Superbowls. I lived through the era. I was pointing out that you said the Bills would not win a Superbowl until it had another Jim Kelly type player. Whether I disagree is irrelevant. The point is they did not win with THE Jim Kelly precisely for the reasons you so eloquently point out that it is a team game with many variables. I am simply pointing out that while you are adamant that A JK type is required and EJ is not it, I would suggest that you revisit the statement that JK is required. It is a nice to have and the opposite conclusion that the Bills can't win without that type of player is also questionable. Anecdotal evidence to the contrary exists.
  16. Jim Kelly lost Superbowls to Jeff Hostetler, Mark Rypien, and two to Troy Aikman in his 3 and fourth years. Jim Kelly never won a Superbowl. The Idea that because EJ doesn't fit your image of what a championship caliber quarterback looks like is simply your bias. And your bias is questionable because the object to which you compare EJ is not by definition a Championship caliber quarterback by Superbowl standards. If you said Troy Aikman, Montana, Flacco, Roethlisberger, Rypien, Hostetler, Young or any of the others who actually won one then I can see your point. I still don't believe in the "eyeball" test but at least it would be properly focused.
  17. Wow! A civilized insightful discussion with varying opinions and some factual references. How refreshing! with minor exceptions, obviously
  18. I see no evidence this poster is a fan of anything other his or her opinion.
  19. If there is a new stadium in the near future game day ticket prices will rise. I say ship all Preseason games to neutral sites and don't burden ST holders with useless games. The Carrier Dome, TO, ADA Ohio ( where they make, made Wilson Footballs) anywhere. The games are meaningless and you create fan loyalty and keep ST within reach of the current fan base. JMHO.
  20. You have not followed Orton's career very closely. There is overwhelming doubt about his ability to hit anything over 10 yards. Plus he is putrid in any kind of wind.
