  1. This thread is further proof that too many stupid people are breeding.
  2. If only he was our coach.
  3. Whitner is not a great safety, apparently the Bills recognize this. Another aspect of how much the team will cough up to keep him is what happens to the quality of his play for the rest of the season now that he shed a few tears on twitter. Why can't some of these players negotiate like men and let the agents do their job without involving the media.
  4. I don't believe it, a fan's knee jerk reaction is dead wrong? That is alright, I am sure you have a few more in you.
  5. You have serious issues. These players can do what they want when it comes to free agency. Your opinion about how others should live their lives is a little short sighted and wreaks with envy.
  6. I finally think that a quality football team is being built, and I have certainly become a huge Gailey fan. That guy is a real football coach. Also, Wood needs to be the starting center from here on out. I much prefer Hangnail as a backup.
  7. None of what you stated has anything to do with our lousy run blocking. Our line gets blown off the ball more often than not on running plays.
  8. If Spiller was drafted by ANY of the playoff bound teams, I wonder how different his stats would be when he isn't stuffed at the handoff.
  9. I love our progress this year in the passing game, but our reliance on the quick 2 and 3 drop passing attack has exposed what Lee Evans lacks. He is not physical enough to get off the jam, especially when the DB is already aware that Fitz has to get the ball out in a hurry. My question is this, if and when the day comes that our line can provide enough protection for the 5 and 7 step drop plays, will Evans reemerge as a playmaker downfield? When I watch other teams have success with big plays way down the field, the QB seems to have all day.
  10. There is only one question to answer about any o-line. Will they THRIVE in the playoffs against the top defenses? If the answer is no then they are not good enough. If the goal is a championship then that is the question. We already know that they are good enough to be 3 and 10. As far as Fitz not getting sacked, come on man. You will never get to the playoffs if all your line can do is block for 2 and 3 step drops. To be a champion we need to compare ourselves to the best in our own division, and that is the Patriots. Our pass blocking is abysmal compared to them. Unfair comparison? One team is streaking to the playoffs and the other to a top 5 pick. 3 and 10, but our o-line is good. I don't think so.
  11. Give the guy a break, the word on the street is that he chokes himself with his belt while watching "What's happening? " reruns. That can hinder your motor functions.
  12. Your in over your head brother. You should focus on what's for breakfast tomorrow instead.
  13. They say that suicide is painless.
  14. IF we beat the Steelers, then I would certainly say that it is possible. This is the type of game that will help clarify this teams true weaknesses, and what direction the team should move in as far as personnel goes. The goal is a championship, and I think that the Steelers will show us where the team stands on that one.
  15. I get it now, when Lee is double Fitz should still throw it his way when Stevie is running free in the middle of the field. Good offenses don't force the ball into coverage, we obviously have a QB who see's the high percentage throw and goes for it. As far as money goes, I could care less what they pay Lee as long as he is on the field. I am a season ticket holder and his salary doesn't make it unaffordable. Besides the desire to make an argument for argument's sake, how has Lee's salary actually affected you?
  16. Don't drink so much during the games, you might actually notice something other than a misconception.
  17. There is a difference between fans and people that are incoherent on Sunday afternoons and don't really understand what they are watching, except for perhaps the scoreboard.
  18. All I know is that I don't want to even entertain the notion of not having Lee and Stevie on the field together. Anyone that wants either one of them gone does not care about the team winning, but probably more about about winning a BS argument with some other moron. We have enough dead weight on this team to get rid of, can we just be happy that our offense is evolving this year, and in no small thanks to our receiving corps?
  19. What a surprise, another one that wants Lee Evans gone.
  20. Why would they black out the game again? The tickets are already bought and paid for, correct?
  21. We are 2 and 8 brother, and that is largely due to our inability to run the ball and stop the run, both of which get decided in the trenches. Did I mention already that we are 2 and 8? One more thing, by this time last year we did not have the same line, as I recall we had to access the practice squad on a regular basis. Has it occurred to you that winning a Super Bowl might require both a QB and O-line that is playing at a high level. BOTH my friend.
  22. Outstanding observations brother. I will never understand the hate towards Lee, I am just happy that we finally have coaches and a QB that know how to make teams pay for focusing on Lee. Cheers to Johnson for stepping up. He's earned it.
  23. Continue the transition of course. They still aren't that good at the 4-3 either. Better, but not playoff quality, so why settle for a scheme limited by current players that predominantly aren't that great to begin with? Forge ahead next year I say.
  24. Our offense now compared to Jauron's is night and day. As far as defense goes, we went from a vanilla soft zone, undersized Tampa 2 to a defense that plays much more man coverage and requires more physically powerful men up front than what we had. If you've paid attention a lot more is being asked of the players on D than previous. Man coverage and bump'n run are where our DBs are getting beat bad. A far different set of skills than what was required playing 10 yards off in zone even when we blitzed. The Giants game last night is a good example of the previous philosophy of playing a mile off even when you send the house on a blitz. This year is a whole new world for our secondary. Byrd is a good example of a player that played fairly well as a rookie in zone coverage almost exclusively just to struggle now when he has to do man coverage. When your singled up you don't get to sit back and watch the QB's eyes to try to jump a route. Let's not forget that even though they play more 4-3 now that it's still a 2 gap system that they are playing in.
  25. Call me a pessimist, but I am pulling for 8 and 8.
