Rushing 5 and 6 defenders and getting no pressure is failure.

Latavius still has his Broncos playbook -
The Broncos are on the upswing. I fear we will play down to their level and lose. Sean Payton smells blood.

He was a man for his time whose methods didn't age well

We have been coasting ever since the Dolphins game. It doesn't look like we have a culture of urgency like the best teams. This is very sad because it feels like the Chiefs are beatable this year. Repeating as champs is very hard and rare in the NFL. Watching the Bills, it looks like the entire team is waiting for Josh and Diggs to pull wins out of the fire week after week. As of today, we look like a mediocre wild card team that would be embarrassed if it had to go into Baltimore, Cincy, Jacksonville or KC. Our defense and running games are average at best. But a season is a long time. We can go through a streak and demolish opponents in November and December to build momentum for the post season. I just don't know which team will show up. Is it the one that made adjustments at half time to school Miami or the one that played down to level of the lowly Patriots? If we don't find a way to play with consistency there will be changes. There is enough talent to be a contender but, at times like this, I doubt that we are building a winning organization. There are days when I think Clappy is the real deal and others when it feels like he's lost the locker room. All I know is that a one and out post season appearance will feel like a failure that I can't see the Pegulas taking lightly. McDermott and Beane are playing for their legacies right now. I hope the team rises to the occasion. Vince Lombardi used to tell players to look around the room because some of the faces you see will not be here next year. Then he added, "I will not lose with the same faces twice." This season is a tipping point for the current Bills regime.

I've been watching football since the mid seventies. The Jets have sucked all my life with the exception of the Richard Todd years, Rex Ryan and Herm Edwards tenures. They might have made the playoffs with Ken O'Brien a time or two but that's over fifty years of suckage. -

Imagine paying for a $eat license to watch this crap Aaron Rodgers is going to need a lot more magic mushrooms to get through a whole season of this -

I notice when the ball hits the turf a little cloud of dust pops up. With all the money in this league you'd think they could vacuum once in awhile. -

Can't help but wonder how much the Jets lament letting Mike White get away -

The Jets celebrate a first down like a touchdown -
I won't say the season is over because there's a lot more football left to play but, as a measuring stick, that game tells me that we are just an above average wild card team. We rushed 5 and 6 defenders and still couldn't get a hand on Burrow. I didn't see any half time adjustments that challenged the Bengals on offense. Our secondary did quite well against the best WR roster in the league but we had no answer for when Burrow went to his TEs. Just like last year's playoff game. We have stockpiled veteran running backs and still do not have a credible running threat outside of Josh. On defense, we contain but don't dominate. As for Von Miller, he isn't playing alongside Aaron Donald or Bradley Chubb and looks quite unremarkable as a result. The Bengals have humbled us twice now. I think we are reasonably close talent wise but this game was never close despite the final score. Zac Taylor is a far better coach than McDermott. The Bengals play with a confidence we haven't earned yet. It feels like our team is looking to Josh, Diggs or Miller to pull things out of the fire week after week. The Bengals just know they can beat anybody because they've proven it to themselves. Yes, Burrow is special but we have a franchise QB in Josh. We're running out of time and excuses.
