  2. those who say Lamar has lost 30 million compared to Josh et al are not factoring in non-payment of agent commission. If owners pay Cousins and Watson guaranteed money why should Lamar settle for less? I am always in favour of the players getting everything they can. His negotiating style is unorthodox but necessarily ineffective. I enjoy watching him play even though I root against Baltimore. The days of Ray Lewis and Ed Reed are long gone. Baltimore needs Jackson more than he needs them. Yes his injury history is worrisome but no more so than Garopollo, Murray or Prescott.
  3. learn how to win in cold weather
  4. McCargo , Maybin and Manuel were bodies with no talent. 2014 draft was the biggest washout https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/buf/draft.htm
  5. The longer this goes on, the more the chance the Jets will screw it up
  6. Value is in the eye of tackling stats and tackling is a lost art
  7. I think bringing in Von Miller signaled that were on the cusp long before we earned it. The defense started coasting after that. We need to draft and develop young players independent of big names. We want long term success like the Steelers not a bought one off Super Bowl like the Rams. We're a blue collar organization not a Hollywood driven star franchise
  8. I need to see McDermott call a play that causes us to win an important game. I haven't seen that yet. I know we're a better team with him and Beane and the Pegulas but I need to see Clappy be the reason that we win if only once.

  11. I guess the new owners gets to settle the lawsuits that go with it. And what about that lengthy season ticket holder waitlist?! haha He's wise to wait for the Seahawks. They come with a winning program and a lot less baggage
  12. Cousins does not know this as demonstrated in this year's playoffs
  13. Lamar is superior to Cousins in that when it's 4th down, he knows you either have to run or pass to the 4th down marker
  14. there's no question that Lamar deserves a good deal. The question is whether he is automatically entitled to one that equals or exceeds Watson's. The guaranteed money genie is out of the bottle and it's not going back in. Lamar has already turned down 3 years at 43 per year guaranteed so he and the Ravens are in the same ballpark. There's enough money in the NFL to pay Lamar what he is asking. The Ravens are a six win team with out him. His negotiating strategy is unorthodox in that he has lost a couple of high earning years that could have been negotiated before his rookie deal ran out. I think he'll get a four deal at Watson's salary guaranteed with a fifth year that's voidable by either side.
  15. This team is built like the pre-Terrell Davis, John Elway era Broncos. A great QB supported by a back 7 D who can't tackle, an OL who can't run block and RBs that can't convert on short yardage. Everything is down to Allen and Diggs. Built for a dome yet playing outside in winter. D-oh

  17. I used to love the separated at birth threads on the old BBMB. For the uninitiated, we would post a doppelganger or celebrity lookalike (or other less than flattering resemblance) of the visiting team's players next to player in the week leading up to that week's game. It was great fun. Just wondering if this platform can handle it and, if so, can we do these this season?
  18. Things are easier to get into than they are to get out of. If you follow the crowd, prepare to get trampled. Your life is now. To find people who have no problems, visit a graveyard. Life is what happens to you while you are making other plans. If you meet a woman you can trust, marry her, for you may never meet another one again. Your children are your legacy.
  19. dead guys should not have better hair than the living
  20. I get Sherman's point but what he misses is that Mahomes and Allen value winning above being the highest paid. When you win the Superbowl, the endorsement deals will fall off you like water on a duck's back. Money can only bring so much happiness. Winning a Superbowl follows you into eternity. Why do you think we put up with Terry Bradshaw's jackass act every Sunday? Does Jackson want a career like Tom Brady or Kirk Cousins? That is the question. The owners can look in the mirror for the culprit. Why should Jackson take anything less than a guaranteed deal as a starting bargaining point? He can renegotiate down later when his teams signs players to help him get a title.
  21. RG3's fifteen minutes of fame were over a decade ago. Maybe he should tell us how much of a kill fee Snyder paid to bury his memoir
  22. they studied a lot of film
  23. one more positive PED test and he'll be available as a caddy
  24. he's been around since before Bill Belichick hired his first film crew
  25. Once BB started winning he knew he could only acquire talent via the compensatory draft system. So he put his players in a position to accrue value and then trade them off for picks. He also knew how to generate sacks with relatively average linemen and linebackers. He and Scarnecchia developed a system for protecting the pocket for TB without writing big cheques. The biggest name OL players eventually left in FA as well. Logan Mankins never won a SB despite being there from 2005-2013. Seymour, Vrabel, Johnson, Ty Law and Vince Wilfork were all dealt in their prime. BB won't hang onto an over priced star past their prime. He also created a culture of winning where the best FAs wanted to go there if only for year at a discount
