  1. Baskett and Nance are tall redzone WR's available as well.
  2. Kudla, Mike 6-2 261 Ohio State McClover, Stanley 6-2 261 Auburn We keep seeing them drop. Which one?
  3. Williams was a very enjoyable player to grade because he is the highly competitive and productive defensive tackle who just has a knack for being around the ball and making plays. While there are many traits that are very important for a defensive lineman, the ability to burst off the ball and get on top of offensive linement before they are set to block is the most important. He has consistently shown a knack for shooting gaps to get into the backfield to disrupt plays before they can get started. Even when he cannot get free and clear from blockers, he disrupts the play.
  4. Kyle Williams! Great pick! Thought he was taken already!
  5. McClover on Defense, DT -- All more 1-gap Harris, Orien 6-3 302 Miami (Fla.) Jackson, Tommy 'T.J.' 6-0 305 Auburn Wright, Rodrique 6-5 306 Texas Oshinowo, Babatunde 6-1 305 Stanford DE -- McClover, Stanley 6-2 261 Auburn Kudla, Mike 6-2 261 Ohio State Anderson, Mark 6-4 258 Alabama Haralson, Parys 6-0 248 Tennessee OG-- Matua, Fred 6-2 307 Southern California O'Callaghan, Ryan 6-7 343 California Setterstrom, Mark 6-4 315 Minnesota OT-- Boothe, Kevin 6-5 315 Cornell
  6. A wonderful wind blowing through here called perspective. Thanks AD!
  7. There's a lot of buzz on the Steelers website about him
  8. No, but: "Martin Nance quietly had an extremely successful senior season for the Redhawks of Miami Ohio. Despite incosistent QB play from Josh Betts, Nance produced good numbers and scored a career high 14 TD's, more than the 11 he had with Ben Roethlisberger as a sophomore. The way Nance bounced back from an injury that cut his junior year short showed work ethic and perseverance. As a WR, Nance has great size, good leaping ability, and good hands. He is fast for his size, but lacks ideal quickness. Nance is probably a poor mans Calvin Johnson, as the two are similar players. However, he is still an obvious red-zone threat and with some work on his route-running, could develop into a solid starting WR in the NFL. While some could consider him a borderline first-rounder, he is probably more likely to be taken somewhere in the second-fourth round of the 2006 NFL Draft. "
  9. Plus we're missing a WR with height. Andre Davis at 6'1", George Wilson at 6'1" and Sam Aiken at 6'2" are our tall WR's. How about: Baskett 6'3" Martin Nance 6'4"
  10. And the Jets just took Leon Washington. RB. Want another DT, Mr. Jauron?
  11. Best Names Remaining besides Guy Whimper and Hank Baskett: Wali Lundy ("Big Wally") Terrence Whitehead ("Terra" Whitehead) Naufahu Tahi ("Now-Faa-Who?") Devin Aromashodu ("Aroma? Sho Do!") Grayling Love (Love The Gray Area) Domata Peko Wyatt Gayer Anthony Cannon Greg Threat Marcus Demps Jarvis Herring Bernard Lay Freddy Keiaho I'll bet we take one of these.
  12. Thank you. Wonderful post. I was already feeling pretty good about our picks. I visited the Bills website and watched the videos where Marv, Dick and Tom explained their picks. I watched the videos of these draft picks actually playing football. And now I've read your post. Good for the soul. I've cut down the noose.
  13. I'd rather be behind a better offensive line, right now.
  14. Ko Simpson had 100 tackles this season on a mediochre S.Carolina team. Here is an encouraging quote: "...his physical maturity is a big reason he has been so dominant on the field despite his lack of experience. Simpson [is] a flat-out playmaker and is a big reason South Carolina was able to turn things around this season and make a bowl appearance."
  15. There is a lot of Guards-Tackles still on the board, and a couple DE's. These might last until our RD5 picks: Rob Sims RG good drive blocker Boothe, Kevin OT massive, smart, great feet, probably hasn't had great coaching Joe Toledo is not listed on NFL Draft Boards. Anyone know why?
  16. Now THAT got me laughing for the first time in this draft...
  17. Consensus Draft services had Ko Simpson as the 46th bbest player overall, going in the 2nd Round. You gotta take him here for Cover-2.
  18. I think the draft is going too fast for ESPN. Now you know how it feels...
  19. Now you have 2 fast safeties. Obviously BPA. They must really like their O-line. Matua, Setterstrom, and Scott will be gone by our next pick.
  20. I'm just a droid, and worm my way through websites, but I think the Jets will go Offense. Their last two picks were defense, so it's time to look at BPA at a position not yet addressed. They have Houston and Blaylock at running back; the BPA here might be Mike Bell. Jerald Sowell is getting long in the tooth at FB; Bernstein might be a good pick.
  21. It also puts pressure on Nate to negotiate with the front office. We're covered both ways now. If he stays, we're set. If he goes, we're set. We even have a trade option if some CB goes down on a playoff-bound team.
