  1. As a Fan for the past 25-30 years, think back to the early 80's, late 80's, early 90's and so forth, did you ever think that teams like the bucs, and saints would win a superbowl before the Bills. I thought it was a pretty sad day when the Saints became superbowl champs before the Bills. thoughts ?
  2. I agree, I just don't have faith in Bell or Meredith, and i think that hurts guys like Edwards , Brohm Hardy, Nelson, Johnson, Spiller, etc. I think Adams can play the left or right side. You know there going to be an injury some where on the line, and he gives you some flexibilty. I hear the problem with Adams is he not able to handle the smaller speed rusher as well any more, but with all the teams in the east playing the 3-4, that doesn't seem like that would be as much as a problem. It seem most 3-4 DE are bigger, not like a schobel type. Truthfully, I just get the feeling there going to play with the hand their dealt, and they won't bring anyone in who might change a 4-12 season, into a 7-9 unless there's some long term benefit. If they play with the current roster and they win 8-9 games then I think that will be a bonus and they will have a good foundation to build on, but other wise I think there content on securing a top 3 pick in next years draft and rebuilding for 2013.
  3. F. Adams wants 4 mill a year to play left tackle. Seem per reasonable given the fact there going to pay green 9 mill over 3 years. They must think that what they have is good enough at tackles, and will get better with more reps? I still think the O-line is are biggest problem and we need a starter and some depth. Thoughts?
  4. I think the bills are just going to play out this year with what they have. Next season with a new CBA, Guys like Gaithers, Penn, Mcneill, are all free agents in addition to the free agent class on 2011. So maybe they target a younger guy, or Bell/ Wang are ready to step in. I think they are all done signing, unless a mid level vertern is cut from somewhere else during camp. Hate to say it but I think this year is going to be ugly.
  5. What he gonna say? They still split with the Bills this year.
  6. A. Mason (ravens) on T.O. per ESPN, "Looking at him, you can see he's in great shape, that he can still fare well and produce numbers," Mason said, per the Sporting News via the Baltimore Sun. "But now he's been treated like a scapegoat for what happened in Buffalo; it's unfair." Did I miss something, what happened in Buffalo? T.O. came in, he put up some nice numbers on a lousy team with no coaching staff, no real Qb, and O-line, and we all moved on. Now it Buffalo fault T.O. can't get a new job. This kind of thinking should fair well with future free agents.
  7. Please don't discount my genius discovery.
  8. Not a big college football guy, any chance Gailey played against Brohm or had any exposure to him? I was just thinking if both guys were from the south maybe Gailey scout or tried to get him in college.
  9. Never watched the X-flies, but I do believe there was a second gunman.
  10. I thought that at first, but the more I think about it the more it fits into place. Ralph and company might not know crap about football, but he knows how to put peolpe in the seats with sub par talent. Me included.
  11. Call me crazy, but I think this whole thing was the plan a along. I think that the Bills knew that unless Jauron made a hugh turn around he was gone by week 8. It doesn't make sense that Nix would leave San Diego as a assistance GM for a director of scouting position with the Bills. He was told once Jauron flopps it's your team, just play along. I think the front office knew that it was a long shot that they were going to land Cowher or one the other big names. So Nix was brought in to take over, he already had Gailey ready to go and in this pocket. ( I can't remember ever hearding Gaily's name mentioned as a possible coaching candiate, he just came out of no where). the bills played the game, interviewed a black candiate, interviewed Fewell to save some face. All the other candiates refused to interview because they knew Gaily was the man all along and nobody wanted to look foolish. Bill cowher recommended him so people in buffalo would accept it better. Gailey being in college recently and from the south, must of spotted Brohm, liked in as a player and told Nix that's who he wants, so the Bills went out and picked him up, telling Brohm there plan so he would leave the packers even after the pac attempt to sign him once the bills made a move for him. Then they didn't draft a Qb, because Brohm was the man all along. I also think that Fewell was told not to play Brohm unless it 100% needed, just so he didn't get hurt, and screw up Nix and Gailys plan. Why won't they play Brohm last year? They said it was because he didn't have enough time to learn the plays and that true, but the Bills were going no where last year when he came, if he crapped the bed, big deal. I think it would have been more important to get him some hands on game experence and timing with current player. If Brohm is named the starter call me a genius, if it trent, call me goat. I'll take goat for now.
  12. The right guy is the guy who has some fire in this gut, maybe has a chip on his shoulder, and wants to be there.
  13. I've been to Bills games all over the country for the past several years, and I have to say the Bills fans are by far the worse. I hate to say it, but that what I've seen. These days the ralph is full of these 20+ power drinkers that are so smashed they don't know if it's the offense or defense on the field. At least they buy the tickets, jeresys, and hats so the team stays in buffalo.
  14. Ya, weird scenerio. I remember going to the opener against Seattle, and while I was walking to my seats I heard he was out for the year. Seemed like he had a good preason, wasn't listed on the injury reports, and then like that he was gone. The funny thing was after he was on IR, no one from the bills said anything about it.
  15. Just released by the bucs, maybe there was something to that knee injury a couple years back. I always thought he was a good player. I thought when the Bills placed him on IR 2 years ago they were just trying to stick it to him for opting out 2 days before the opener. Kind of a weird thing?
  16. Why not? Most draft picks are crap shoot anyways. Form proven pro bowl defensive end and a running back. I bet a team like Houston would make out well with those two.
  17. I think it real simple. If our QB's are a disaster and we win 0-4 games, we take a stud QB, with one of the top 3 picks in the draft. If we get into that gray area and win 6-8 games, and draft 9-12 that stud Qb is not going to be there anyway. Like most people the 10 year drought has really gotten to me. I really wanted Cowher or one of the other big 3 to come in and give us instant credibity, but the more I look and read about the the bills, the more I like the way chan and buddy are building this thing. I would love to see one of the current QB break out and become the next big thing, but i don't really believe that going to happen. I think you let Chan and Buddy play out this year to see what they have on the roster, and go from there. With the loss of the CBA and all the potential free agents, who became restricted, it made it almost impossible to improve the team this year. You would of had left tackles like Gaithers, Penn, McNeill, Brown as free agents with their team trying to resign them and balance the cap. This would of given us a greater chance as landing one of these guys as a free agent. If you think about it there were 200 potiential /5 year free agents that were taken off the market this year. Hopefully Chan can get a grasp on the roster, draft a QB, and with a new CBA, in addition to the 2011 free agents, all those guys who were restricted in 2010 will be unrestricted next year, and the team can rebulid quickly. I think it better to write off this season, I don't think winning 6-8 games really helps us in the long term. Unless your a fan of missing the playoff every year.
  18. I can't believe this dumb Rob johnson post is still going. There more replies to this post then games Johnson started. His trade is the start of what what set this team back 10 years. Could somebody please start some wild rumor so we have somethimg to talk about for the next 3 weeks, instead of this freakin post.
  19. If Schobel doesn't offically retire, do we have to hold a roster spot for him? What if he continues to state he's not going to play and we cut him in order to free up that roster spot, and then he comes back and goes to another team as a free agent. We could lose out on a possible trade sitution. I would rather trade him for a 7th for a team of his choice then nothings. Does anyone know what the rule is ?
