  1. I was in 6th grade. I now have a master's degree, am married, and just closed on my first house.
  2. Maybe Byrd can take stevie's reps at WR
  3. Yeah, digressed. He started off playing football but got distracted and went off on a tangent doing something else out there.
  4. My point is that wanting something to happen and thinking it will are two different things, and wanting it to happen has no bearing on if it actually does or not, so I might as well want it to happen while recognizing that it probably won't. Once the Pats get that 10th win, I'll be rooting for them to knock off our wild card competition, but they don't have it yet, and if a 2 win team that isn't competing for a spot can keep them from getting closer for another week, I'm all for it.
  5. Watching TB vs Carolina, and Glennon looks shaky. Has a pick and a fumble where the ball just came out of his hand when he tried to throw it after being flushed from the pocket. Hopefully the Bils can force similar mistakes next week.
  6. Aren't you contradicting yourself here? On one hand you say we should want everything that puts the Bills in the playoffs, but on the other hand you don't want to root for a situation where the Bills win the division, because you don't think that particular situation is realistic. Heck,if I'm being honest with myself I don't think its realistic for the Bills to win out, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to root for it. It's not like wanting something to happen makes it any more or less likely to happen so the way I see it we might as well root for the absolute best case scenario, until that scenario is no longer possible. By wanting the Pats to lose out, I'm not sacrificing anything, and as others have stated the Pats historically don't rest their starters so I doubt anything that happens between now and week 17 other than injuries will have any bearing on who is on the field for them in the last game of the season.
  7. I'd rather they lose out and the Bills win the division at 9-7. I know it probably won't happen, but its what I'll root for until it becomes mathematically impossible.
  8. Is that a Ravens logo on the stroller in the first one?
  9. Some of us still would call him crazy. For me its not about any cold weather homefield advantage nonsense, especially when for most of my football watching life the Bills have been out of playoff contention by the time the weather gets cold, although I do love going to late season games when its freezing out and the snow is flying. To, me, It's about the much simpler belief that football was meant to be played outdoors in the elements. It would never happen, but I would love to see the NFL put a no dome rule in place for all future new stadium construction, and require all stadiums with retractable roofs to have the roof open for all games. Retractable roof stadiums could continue to be built as new stadiums, provided they followed the open roof rule. I do agree with the point about a smaller stadium, although I think 60k is a little too small. 65-68k would seem about right to me.
  10. It'll be interesting to see if Carol comes across the governor on her travels. I mentioned this thought to a friend, and he pointed out that Carol and the governor have never seen each other. This opens up the possibility of Carol innocently mentioning to him that things weren't going so hot with her former group at the prison...
  11. I graduated in 2006 and I'm ok with locker room nudity. We took showers in the locker room after hockey and lacrosse, but not after gym class. The only time I ever thought it was weird was in some of the hockey rinks where 4 locker rooms shared one shower room, and you would have moms walk by on their way to the locker room to help their 8 year olds tie their skates while you were in the shower with 6 other dudes.
  12. I'm pretty sure there are league rules that require a certain portion of the Wednesday practice to be open to the media. Edit: Just found this from 2012, which states under number 3 that the first 30 minutes of all practices are required to be open to the media, so that's actually a little more than I thought they were required to do. http://www.pfwa.org/2012MP.pdf
  13. What about the Stick Shift offense? It has a Manuel transmission.
  14. Good article, but they lose points for not mentioning garbage plates at nick tahou's.
  15. Probably sitting at home after school naked, wet, and stoned but unable to tell everyone about it because twitter didn't exist.
  16. Thornton wasn't "chirping" Scott. He was telling him he was hurt.
  17. This is one way of doing it i guess: http://thechive.com/2013/01/31/23-year-old-high-school-teacher-tweets-nude-photos-of-herself-calls-her-students-jail-bait-and-talks-about-getting-high-12-photos/
  18. No, Fitz is a gutsy competitor because instead of trying a bush league move like that, he does things like finishing his runs by lowering his shoulder into the defender for extra yards, and bench pressing Ray Lewis off of his chest and calling him a b!tch after taking a hit.

  20. I haven't seen The Dean around here lately, and this guy's last name is Dean...
  21. The team that got the real Rodgers and Harbaugh would do the best, due to the genetic malformations that result from the cloning process. Not to mention the clones would be infants just a few months old.
  22. Loved when instead of referring to the jets by name, he called them "that other team from the downstate area" or something to that effect.
  23. Better yet, the tv broadcast synched up to the radio announcers. Monitors above the urinals. More ideas: Instead of renewing the Toronto series, alternate years between toronto and the carrier dome each getting 1 preseason game, while the othe rremains kids day at the Ralph. All regular season home games at the Ralph. If/when the time comes for a new stadium, build a partial roof stadium similar to seattle's. Would be cheaper than a full dome, enough seats would be protected from rain/snow and to a lesser extent, wind to appease the pro-dome fans, but the game would still be played out in the elements, the way it should be. Plus, that place would be LOUD.
  24. In fact, by my advanced analytical calculations, they differ by only one letter.
