  1. Ummm, maybe he contributes on ST. I guess we need bodies in camp to compete.
  2. Jesus Beavis, calm the Hell down! It's going to be a long season - and if the Pats trying out Josh freakin' Reed puts you over the top now you're going to have a restraining order put on you you by week 3!
  3. He's a penetrating DT not a low to the ground, wide body NT. He's tall and about 300 to 310 pounds. So no, I'm not disappointed in him. He's durable and our best lineman. He may play nose in certain situation, but he's not a NT. He may be better off dropping a few pounds and becoming a DE.
  4. The California qb's we had didn't suck because of the cold, they sucked because they sucked. They couldn't read defenses, held on to the ball too long and lacked nerve to throw more than five yards. Those that left here still sucked and those about to leave will not improve because of a lack of snow. This is just about talent and not weather.
  5. I didn't know free agency was over.
  6. Bannan was a Bill once and servicable. Not the answer. Green....maybe. But Jamal Williams would have looked great in a Bills uni. Wish Buddy would have pulled the trigger on that. The guy is a beast. He would give us some years to groom a successor at NT.
  7. It's a good signing. He sounds no better or worse than Brad Butler and a lot better then the tomato soup cans that filled in after Butler went down. He sounds like a very competent back up and fill in starter while we look for a fnal answer. To all the doom and gloomers....this is how you build depth. So shut the pie holes and understand what Buddy's doing.
  8. Thanks for the link bandit! Great article and I hope all the "sky is falling" posters on this page take the time to read it and to calm the Hell down. This is a time for patience and smarts and we gotta give Buddy the benefit of the doubt.
  9. Draft this guy in the first round, it's a no brainer!!!!! Umm, no. Anytime someone has to completely remake himself and relearn how to throw a few weeks before teh draft....you're officially a "project" and we have had enough of them. I'd take him in the 4th round and work on him for a few years. Colt McCoy was a winner as well and a better prospect. Our first round choice has to play right away and contribute. So, Jesus Beavis, calm down!
  10. I for one try to remain optimistic, but let's be honest. Last season many of us felt the O-Line would be just a disaster....and it was. It was pretty obvious that it would be so. This season, I'm all about rebuilding. I expect us to suck..flat out suck... for more than half the season. Then I'm hoping for steady improvement and growth. So I'm with Buddy and the boys on rebuilding....but I understand why some are so negative. I've followed the team since 1963 and have seen some of the worst football teams, FO's and coaches. But I'm a Bills fan and I've got a good feeling about this latest rebuild. But let's not be goofy here The fact is we will suck....but will get better. To the Uber negatives....you can spend you life looking backwards or looking ahead. Go Bills.
  11. I'm with your general feeling here and agree with your original post....but don't tell me Bolden isn't worth the two picks they got for him. He'd look great in a buffalo uni.
  12. Williams goes to Miami given the Ferguson suspension.
  13. Yeah, if Vick were white, electrocuting and torturing dogs would be the new national pastime.....damn racists....
  14. It's bad enough to just suck but to seriously suck? Well, that just sucks. I don't know guys, after a decade of just sucking, a seriously sucking year maybe the first step towards being good, then seriously good.
  15. A friend of a friend saw Nix at TOPS and he bought some Clauson pickles. He could have grabbed Weber or another brand but took Clauson. That's a pretty clear sign he's leaning towards taking you know who from Notre Dame.............
  16. None of us have any idea. Looking at the injury, it's hard to fathom he'll be back this year. He has such a ton of upside and a great football mentality. I hope the kid gets all the rest he needs and can come back on his schedule. I think he'll be worth the wait.
  17. Sounds like year one of Greg Williams. No thanks! You can bring in some FA talent to work with the newbies. Don't tell me there is no one available in th is crowd of FA or trade bait that won't upgrade this team.
  18. We need some immediate help at NT, linebacker and OT. Buddy needs to find some help in FA for one or two of these areas while we build.
  19. Trade him for Jim Leonard straight up.
  20. No matter how you cut it, Maybin was a reach and just a poor pick for a #11. Orakpo, Oher, etc have all shown that. But that said, it is what it is. Buddy won't pick any "one year wonders" and we just have to move on. If we get some milage out of him, great. I'm not expecting much from Maybin and neither should anyone else - that way we won't be more disappointed than we all are now. You can either spend your life looking forward a looking behind you. I'm choosing to look forward and hope Buddy and the boys break up our string of bad first round picks.
  21. \ Farve didn't bend his knees at an acute angle and blast into a 300 pound-plus body every play of a game. We need to play young guys and let them grow into a line that will be together for a many years. Signing an old, albeit "serviceable" player, would just delay the growth and cohesion we need for our future O line.
