  1. Gabbert would be a disaster as he doesn't seem able to see more than ten yards down the field. I'm convinced the only way the bills could actually screw up in the 2011 draft is trading back into the first round for one of the overvalued underwhelming bums at Qb who there will be a rush on at the end of the first.
  2. These are the official ones. I bet the Bills are trying to have them pull that video if it isn't yanked already.
  3. I'm not opposed to Cam, but i'd rather see the Bills grab Vince and use their draft picks on Def and other parts of the team. Much safer. Vince has shown an ability to win in the NFL, and even with all of his problems, he's worth a shot. Especially if that means by taking a risk on him the Bills can invest their valuable high draft picks in less risky players.
  4. 1. Von Miller, OLB, Texas A&M 2. Cameron Heyward, DE, OSU 3. Marcus Gilbert, OT, Florida 4a. Colin McCarthy, ILB, Miami 4b. DJ Williams, TE, Arkansas Rounds 5-7. Crapshoot
  5. Reviews seem a little mixed on him....no one has him going in even the top 20, but I think he'll be great. To me he's like cushing or matthews, a guy that looks great in college, who people just underrate / discount. I don't think there's any chance he's there for the Bills in the 2nd, so I wouldn't hate the idea of them packaging their 2nd and one of their 4s to move up a little and get him.
  6. Love that only 4 of those were on the clock when the Bills had draft picks and zero of those from the four would people say they should have drafted.
  7. Clay Matthews was 6'3" 240 when drafted. Von would be 6'3" 242 when drafted. Cut the **** and realize Maybin was a bust but von is different. Mcargo was and undersided DL....does that mean Bruce smith is hopeless? Miami players are punks....does that mean Jim Kelly wasn't worth drafting? People who compare Von Miller to Maybin are like the morons who compare newton to Jamarcus.
  8. 2006: Ngata 2007: Lynch 2008: McKelvin 2009: Orakpo 2009-b: Unger 2010: Claussen So I guess i'm not perfect either...but with Ngata and Orakpo alone, I'd draft a damn sight better than the Bills front office over the last 5 years. With those two on board now the Bills would have a solid front 7 and be able to cause problems for any offense they faced...with Ngata collapsing the pocket and clogging the run lanes, and bringing pressure all day long from the blind side.
  9. You gotta love the irony of a millionare who is being LOCKED OUT from working and is forced to sit back, NOT WORK, and enjoy his millions is equating his situation to slavery...an insitution based on FORCING people TO WORK for NOTHING until they DIE. I like quotes like AP's because it reminds me that while I might not be a millionare and least I'm not some moronic self-centered loser. This quote is right up there with K Winslow Jr's quote "we are soldiers."
  10. I'm of the belief, maybe misplaced, that all of the following players would be good picks at 3, and as long as they got someone from this list I'd be happy and expect more from them than the Bills have gotten in a LONG time from a first round draft pick. Cam Newton Dareus Fairley Peterson Quinn AJ Green Von Miller I think Cam is a HUGE risk, and onviously won't contribute this year (if they do the right thing and let him sit), but his upside is just so great I'd be willing to accpet the risk. All the rest of these guys come in from day one and contribute and I think all of these guys could be franchise guys at their positions. As for Von, I think he might not be a world beater, but he will be all Maybin was supposed to be and then some in a 3-4 scheme.
  11. I think there is a decent chance that the Bills do exactly that. I couldn't really argue with Cam in the first and a OT like Carimi in the second...assuming one falls that far.
  12. I think this opens up the posibility that the Bills could have Wilson play FS and Byrd play SS. I know it seems a little crazy given Byrd's scouting report and the fact that he was such a ballhawk his first year, but given his increasing ability to crash the box, and strip ball carriers, I think Byrd could play SS. Of course I think the Bills would be much better off getting Whitner back at a decent price, but if Whitner walks, I'd rather see the Bills use Byrd and Wilson as the tandem and put FA money into a TE, RT, DL, or LB. Especially over a suspect Safety like Sanders who might never see the field.
  13. I'd love to see the Bills get Mallet or Locker in the 3rd, but I don't think they'll last that long. Colt is a West Coast short thrower only. I wouldn't be surprised if the Browns are drafting his replacement next year.
  14. Blasphemer! Repent! The power of Fitz's bear compels you.
  15. I had come around to the idea of Cam as the number 3 overall pick, but seeing his press conference worried me. While everyone seemed eager to trash Mallett for refusing to talk about drug issues, Cam seemed to get a pass for refusing to address his prior troubles at Florida. Cam also gave a number of nonsensical answers using words and phases he didn't seem to understand. His quote about how he got through the pay for play accusations with teammates "due diligence" was particularly strange. I know football players don't have to be geniuses, or great public speakers, but I don't know how anyone could watch Cam's press conference and not be at least somewhat concerned about his abilities to think quickly on his feet and represent a franchise.
  16. I'm ok with a lot of these guys, but between not playing for a year and having a brain tumor that at one time doctors thought would kill him, Quinn would worry me.
  17. Tebow may have better intangibles, but Cam is basically better than Tebow in every physical category and more accurate. Tebow has an average arm, cam will have one of the strongest in the league. Tebow can run some but might not be able to take an NFL pounding, cam is faster stronger and far more likely to duplicate his college running success in the pros. Tebow still has to work to fix his delivery, cam's is already good. And here's the kicker, Tebow scored low for a Qb on the wonderlic, so while he might not have ever been in trouble like cam or have sketchy people around him like cam's dad, when it comes to the most important intangible of intelligence, there's a good chance cam has him beat there too. In all I think there is a good chance Tebow flames out and that people come to the realization that Cam is basically the NFL version of a Qb Tebow tried, but didn't have the physical skills, to be. So obviously I say keep the picks draft Cam and let Chan does what he does best, develop a winning Qb.
  18. I've seen only 3 games Gaby played, including his Bowl game against Iowa, and he was completely unimpressive. It's also amazing that before McShay started the full court press PR wise to pimp him, no one had him rated as a top 5 QB. Now others are copying ESPN's lead. Players who get to be hot commodities only after they declare for the draft and one news source leads a full campaign for them scare me.
  19. News flash RBs don't have to be geniuses. Almost no one on the field has to be. The top producing RBs past year scored about the same, Blount and Matthews.
  20. I have been to 10 NFL stadiums, listed below. Ralph isn't the best but its far better than most. 1. Lambeau -- simply awesome in every way. 2. Soldier Field -- awesome location in the city, good mix of new and old. 3. Ralph Wilson -- has everything you'd want great atmosphere. 4. Ford Field 5. M&T bank -- decent, if unremarkable new stadium. 6. Indy -- decent new place but sort of like an over sized empty barn. 7. Qualcomm -- decent stadium, not too modern but fine place to watch a game. 8. Fins-- Bad stadium half empty zero fan suppourt on days that end in y. 9. The Link-- faceless new stadium full of total scum and losers. 10. FedEx -- hard to believe it was built this century. Awful layout, horrible set up on everything makes getting a beer or taking a piss take almost 30 min each. Add to that it costs more to do anything there and going to FedEx to do anything but watch them take it down is a waste.
  21. How has no one mentioned Flutie Flakes? For Bell, it really should be "The Mailman's Son" it works on multiple levels as Bell was the illigetimate son Krazy Karl refused to acknowledge most of his life.
  22. Short term, Buffalo and other small markets get boned. Long term overall revenues dip as interest in the league lessens in small market areas. Parity, or the NFL's approximation, is what generates the national interest and money that has the NFL on top of the US sports world. A key to this parity is revenue sharing. You kill that, you kill the golden goose. Remember even a team like buffalo makes more money now than MLB teams like KC and Pit combined. You kill parity that money dies with it. Jerry and crew would be wise to remember you have to spend money to make money....or in this case share.
  23. What really stinks is if the world is ending December 2012, and 2011 is locked out, then the Bills will never win the super bowl.
