what....Joe Montana retired? where have I been!?! I guess slow news is better than no news, haha....sweet post OP

I am baffled as to why we have not had contact with Jamal Williams- assuming we havent, which we very well may have had, things at OBD have been quiet even throughout the staff hires, so hopefully we have been in contact since his release yesterday morning....but if we havent, I have no idea why not... we have money to spend, we will spend money, we need to upgrade this position obviously, get it done so we can focus on other areas during the draft and the rest of free agency....and look, ur gettin a probowl talent player, at an area of extreme need/importance And with the Buddy Nix connection I am suprised this deal is not already done, its been 24 hours now haha...im still holding out hope. This signing lets us draft a future NT who can contribute some this year...say a Jeff Owens or a Linval Joseph in round 3 or 4....it all just makes too much sense...I hope thats not why the bills are NOT doing it, I was hoping new regime would be smarter than the previous 3 or 4....please OBD, pull the trigger on this one

why would we be "gettin er done"?? lets not waste time/money/effort at a position that we are currently solid in...unless you are one of the loons interested or hoping in trading Beastmode, which aint happening...especially not to replace him with an aged, overpriced 3rd down back....

old article, already posts on here regarding this...look around a little before posting, and thanks for trying to be the Message Board Boss and tell people what not to post about, your a real winner and aside...thats just what the eagles want reported because it will drive the trade cost up more for other teams if they think vick is not available...theres no way the eagles roll out to start the season with 26 million dollars at the QB position for THREE starting quality QBs

1985 BILLS DRAFT BEST EVER IN THE NFL??
PaattMaann replied to Buffalo 66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
if I do some research -when im outta work today- im sure that I can come across another teams draft where they drafted two HOF players...im even thinkin the cowboys had a couple in same draft around same time we did...not to mention. Also, two hall of famers and a bunch of trash...is that really better than a draft that nets 4 or 5 pro bowlers? 5 great players rather than just 2? im sure there are plenty of drafts..like I said, ill do that research when im done here -
1985 BILLS DRAFT BEST EVER IN THE NFL??
PaattMaann replied to Buffalo 66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
probably not...yes they took bruce smith...and got a steal with Reed later in the draft...but who else is worth spit in there? franch reich was a good backup QB, sure...but I wouldnt say because of him it was the best draft ever haha... -
Why should the Bills change defensive schemes?
PaattMaann replied to dfwbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i kind of agree that an attacking, tough 4-3 can be just as good as a 3-4, but we are miles away from being an attacking, tough 4-3 (just as we are miles away from being a good 3-4 D)....Williams and stroud can be fine as DE's in a 3-4 or one of them could try to tackle the NT spot (probably Williams, with S. Johnson as the other DE)....poz could finally move to his REAL LB spot- outside...draft McClain no matter what D becasue we need a REAL (ray lewis type) Mid linebacker, regardless of scheme -
yes the bills are certainly one of the 8-12 teams who draw from that revenue sharing...this is GREAT news for the bills, for the time being
-
our d is a strength of this team, in fact we have so many of them that two are regularly scratched...we need a goal scorer. period. We need St Louie and i thought he was going to be available via trade, both him and vinny lecavlier, i would part with stafford and gerbe and another prospect for st louie...thats goals that we need

Julius Peppers.....about to become an UFA
PaattMaann replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
stroud has been bad here? hmm, we must be watching different football games then -
AMEN TO THAT! thank you on all points....and a smart FOOTBALL post that you were correct in posting BEFORE this does turn into another morality battle (vick killed puppies!)...all that nonsense, he is a vast improvement over our current QBs and would cost us very little to do...makes sense to me
-
of course ticket sales would increase ya dope! like the other poster said, it is a genious marketing move, will sucker fans into buying season tickets again (possibly me included) just like TO did last year...for those out there that think his dog killing actions will push fans away are crazy, look at philly, even they increased their ticket sales and actually GAINED sponsors...bring him onnnnnnnnn....that way we might actually win more than 5 games

PaattMaann replied to sharper802's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
dont forget "The Quiet Killer" Marvin Harrison all vick did was drown some pooches...bring him in....BIG UPGRADE and we dont have to waste a draft pick this year on a mediocre QB -

-
hahahahaha, this is classic....im actually making a word document so that I can look back on this in a few months and get another good laugh out of it...keep it comin man, please hahahaha internet tough guys=better than pants on the ground?

why would ANY of those coaches leave their respected, high ranking schools where they are treating like kings (and payed like kings as well) leave those DC jobs for the same title and job with a poor NFL team? People are here treat college like its a grooming ground for NFL...yes that is true, but for the PLAYERS, not the coaches... Both Bradley and Smart turned down NFL interviews last year for HEAD COACHING positions...this tells me they are quite comfortable in the college ranks and where they are at Any of those men would be downgrading their positions by taking the bills DC job....and im not even necessarily bad mouthing the bills...just that they are in superior positions and would even have to take a pay cut to come coach the bills...not happening
-
then you obviously dont watch too many texans games eh? Andre Johnson is without a shadow of a doubt the single best YAC WR in football, and has been for three years now but yes I concur aboot dansby

Honest Question about 4-3 vs. 3-4
PaattMaann replied to Bilgewater's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, I think Stroud could handle the nose duties, hes a mammoth and yes he is used to penetrating offensive lines rather than plug space, I think it would be fine for him to switch his style with no ill effects and 3-4 defenses dont have "burners" at DE that force offenses to keep extra blockers in, ends in the 3-4 are usually just big bodies that push around the o-line and let edge rushers ie. linebackers, safeties and corners, to rush the passer...see richard seymour in NE in the past -
If the Bills get a Stud LT (huge if)

How to Make the Bills a Contender
PaattMaann replied to Cmmd Ackbar's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
definately, down with ellison, I want him off of this team more than any other "player" on this bum squad...no more safety/linebackers PLEASE -
If the Bills get a Stud LT (huge if)
PaattMaann replied to metzelaars_lives's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
then you and I were watching a different center play football this year...Hangman was better than decent at center, especially after Wood went down, he was left on an island a lot more in the middle with some tough nose and d-tackles and he more than held his own....Hang and Levitre were the only bright spots after wood went down bro -
If the Bills get a Stud LT (huge if)
PaattMaann replied to metzelaars_lives's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I couldnt agree more...I think last years draft solidified our inside line for years to come, providing that wood does come back 100 percent-and all indications are that he will, and if hangartner plays for another 4 years...I can live with a mediocre RT if we can somehow land a franchise left tackle....and that is a huge IF though you are correct....if we could somehow get McNeil from the chargers, that allows our draft to be BPA for sure....frees us up to take McClain (i pray every night for him to fall to us) or any other DT that is still around....main point, gives us flexibility and options...but we may hav eto use that number 9 pick on a LT, which isnt the worst thing in the world -
you mean Meatloaf?

Why the Bills should stay in Buffalo
PaattMaann replied to Tortured Soul's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was pretty sure Roger Goodell said, might have even been at last years HOF ceremony, that it was in the NFLs best interest to keep the Bills in Buffalo, and that they will be in Buffalo...Im not to worried, its not like ralphie is gonna die and everyones gonna be like "Oh ****, what do we do with the bills now"?
