UB Fires Head Football Coach Jeff Quinn

"The whole MAC should be relegated" - lol what a joke WEO is - I'm done even responding after that asinine comment And you can consider FCS division 1 still all you want, since they technically are, but that won't sway any mid level or above recruit to your irrelevant school when an ACTUAL division 1 (you know, FBS, what actually matters) schools are calling and offering And PTR - way to school this clown in his own arguments -

not happy to be a doormat, happy to keep trying though rather than giving up great point....most of the midlevel recruits they are getting would probably bail because they dont want to play JV football, and other division 1 schools would give them those looks/scholarships.... so UB would be left with regional JUCO talent, sweet...lol -

yes they are irrelevant 100 percent...I dont care how they FEEL, they are...they are irrelevant in exposure and in money being in the FCS...noboddyyyy caresss about FCS...they can pat themselves on the backs all they want for their "success" playing against nobodies, but simply put, they.dont.matter. if I was a UB student I would care even less about football as an FCS school than as a division 1 program -

Any possibility the Bulls can lure either Steve Spurrier Jr. or Houston Nutt to be the next head coach??? -

I think WEO thinks we should drop down so we can be a "powerhouse" at the FCS level? lol...something like that, makes no sense -

id take the POTENTIAL to be relevant over the GUARANTEE of irrelevance all day, every day -
great start so far...i like to see them losing HOWEVER, the past two games they havent looked terrible overall, they need to stay out of the damn box if they want to compete...both of the last two games were much closer than the final score indicates The positives so far: some good goaltending, ennis is playing fast and aggressive, reinhart looks to be a solid player who will continue to develop into more of a threat, myers is controlling the puck and not making mind boggling mistakes (also loved to see him punching the dude who cheapshotted him), team looks to have some good leadership i dont like Nolan, we take too many penalties, and we should continue this trend so we land McDavid

because if you drop down to FCS you are irrelevant - so yea I would say its better to be FBS doormat with the possibility (regardless of how remote) of turning it around/sneaking into a bowl game and gaining notoriety than being unknown/irrelevant and in NCAA can you be division 1 in some sports and not in others? -
No I think the end scene was how terminus was after the attack went down, because the guy says something about them surviving it again and taking back control Either way I don't see the terminus group being an issue going forward, I think that scene was just a wrap up to the whole terminus issue

Acting, no cheesy lines or obvious plot development - the show finally got out of the way of itself and out out an amazing episode) Pleaseeeeee more of this!!!

The point is, no one is saying Spiller is as good as forte, lynch, foster, bell etc. Those of us who think he is worth hanging on to (at a reasonable price) envision him being used like Sproles, a player who has very similar skill yet (I think CJ has more talent as a true running back than Sproles though)....the problem is, we aren't using him like Sproles, we're trying to use him like the aforementioned guys - meaning, we think the problem isn't necessarily spiller, it's how we are attempting to use him

JW's Bills-Lions All-22 Review
PaattMaann replied to thebandit27's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think what he was saying, and does actually say, is that he watched the film and saw what many of us have been seeing and talking about - its not that EJ didnt make the right reads, or stand in the pocket, he WAS doing those things...the kid just cant throw a football anywhere near his targets....theres no stats or numbers or arguments to be made....it IS evident on the all22 film, did you watch it?? What the guy posted is a great contribution and its not hijacking the thread at all Some of what Jeremy White makes sense and rings true, and we are all appreciative of his hard work in putting this together....but some of us also watch the all22, and happen to disagree with White in the regard that he thinks Orton "reads the defense quicker" and "stands in the pocket longer"...what Orton DEFINITELY brought, because his teammates have said so, was a confident demeanor that many veteran QBs have and our offense picked up on, hence everyone playing better around him, and after the pick 6, much more accurate throws/taking chances than EJ can even dream of right now You can disagree or agree, but you shouldn't have to try to make other posters feel like a$$holes for voicing their own opinions about the topic (snide/sarcastic comments at the end of your post) -
yea some of our group will do fishing, I might sit on the boat and drink beer, but I dont really fish....although I have been telling myself for years it would be cool to get into For 1000 islands....any places anyone recommends to rent boats? not like a charter, but we actually found a big house that is on its own island, and we want to rent a boat to dock at the island for the weekend...but none of us have a boat, theres gotta be good places that rent boats by the day...anyone know of any of these? I have googled a few but would prefer a place that someone vouches for

I have a couple friends getting married next year and we are looking into weekend get a ways to either the 1000 islands or to the Adirondacks for their bachelor parties... has anyone ever rented a big house (12-15 peopleish) in either of these two areas before? Any recommendations on sites to look at for properties (I know only of VRBO)? Anyone have friends/relatives who own places that rent them out? Any ideas of things to do in the area? good bars? restaurants? GOLF COURSES? I have no experience in either of these areas so any info would be greatly appreciated fellas!

Please tell me why Kyle Orton is not the long term answer ?
PaattMaann replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How is EJ going to learn how to accurately throw a football while sitting on the bench?? I was an EJ supporter through and through - but we have all seen the guy really can't hit the broad side of a barn....yes he made like two great throws (chandler sideline catch and Watkins should have been 40 yard td broken up by Miami DB) but I'm thinking those were luck when you compare them to the rest of the trash he put out there QBs sit and learn when they can't read defenses, find the hot reads or open guys, or don't understand an offense - these have not been EJs issues, he has found the open guys and knows the offense, he just can't put the ball anywhere near his targets So please - I could be ignorant, but how is his woeful accuracy ever going to get fixed by sitting and "learning" under Orton? Back to the original post - Orton COULD be the answer for the next several seasons, but let's hope we are smart this time and draft a guy to replace him (ala Aaron Rodgers) - but that guy most likely won't come from this draft class, weak for project QBs -

PaattMaann replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well let's say Orton does well and leads us to the playoffs this year - he has to start next season, but we won't be developing anyone behind him (unless it's EJ still) - there aren't any "projects" in this nfl draft class - there's a couple first rounders and then a bunch of trash -
jesus, great point....I am terrified of heights (like, my balls hurt when I look UP at tall buildings from the street) and that escalator does things to me man, baaaddd things
