2011 Bills first round draft choice ??
Bills(70) replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jack Locker is the only QB Buffalo should even consider. Luck and Mallet are not even in the same catagory. Buffalo will need to do what is necessary to move up high enough to take him. He is the Franchise QB this team is looking for. -
We're not going to be a good team in 2010
Bills(70) replied to Deep2Moulds46's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We'll go 6-10 at best, 4-12 more likely and 2-14 at worst. You better hope for the 2-14, brings us closer to a franchise QB next draft without having to give up to much. -
Brohm, Brown, Edwards, Fitz as a starter for a team in need of a real Franchise QB. I want what all you people are smoking There is absolutely no chance, 0, nothing, notta, zilch, that any of these guys has what it takes to be a franchise QB. You kid yourself to think other wise. The Bills still need a Franchise QB, a position I am positive they will address in the 2011 draft. Jake Locker will no doubt be the target.

+1000 I'd give you all the 0's but the late 70's early 80's picks were worse than 02

Bills looking for second rounder for Lynch
Bills(70) replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Now here is a poster that knows what he speaks on. And I completely agree with you, not only is Lynch expendable, he is the one that has some asset value for return. Move him, and move him immediately. Also, you are correct, many posters I noticed do not even remotely acknowledge the holes that are on this team. Its a total rebuild whether people like to admit that or not, you happen to be one of only a handful of posters that is calling a spade a spade, my hats off to and I completely agree with you. I was around for the build out of the late 80's, this move is necessary for a similiar situation to occur. -
Instead of Trading Down, Trade Up
Bills(70) replied to symbiant's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Trade Down, Not Up. It would be foolish to trade up, this team has to many needs, both as impact players as well as depth to trade up. Trade down and we get to fill more of those needs. -
If the Bills draft Spiller in the 1st, then what?
Bills(70) replied to HooperBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This would be my best guess right here. Also, no one has brought up what Lynch would bring back in draft picks. Are we looking at a 2nd and 6th rounder back to us or a 3rd and 5th rounder, or are we looking at a player for player deal here? Whats the call, does Buddy go for an active roster player for depth at some position (QB?) or is draft pick/picks? -
Why should we trade Lynch?
Bills(70) replied to clearwater cadet's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bad behavior should not be this teams mantra. Get rid of him, and quickly. Not to mention, he is not an impact RB. He has done nothing to single himself out as special, we could do much better in the backfield and the organization and community will be better off with him gone. Dump this loser and lets move on from him. -
What have the Bills done that has impressed you?
Bills(70) replied to BillsfaninFl's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm impressed they kept the fans in the Buffalo area hood winked for 10 + years. -
What do you want the Bills to do with the #9 PICK?
Bills(70) replied to toddgurley's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I went through this with the Bills back in the late 80's early 90's. You trade down for depth, its that simple, there is nothing there at nine that is a real eye opener. Just trade down and pick up more picks, and trade that trainwreck Lynch for gods sake. I need this guy driving around the region with me and my kids like I need a hole in my head. -
What would it take to be good this year?
Bills(70) replied to sllib olaffub's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Umm....Ya......there is absolutely zero chance this team contends for anything this up coming season. Just accept the rebuild and move along. -
Hey, thats cool, speak your peace, but remember this, we didn't build a Super Bowl contender on the 9th pick or the 25th pick in the draft for that matter. We did it on 3 to 4 crappy seasons a couple of which were 2-14, do you see that record with the Bills? Didn't think so. Take a close look at what is going to be available at #9, then take a good look at the current roster, we need depth at plenty of positions, 1 (and I can't stress this enough) "POTENTIAL" medium to minimal impact player at #9 is actually ridiculous to consider when we have the ability to grab some real depth players into the 2nd round. Its just good personnel decision making to do so.
-
I would trade down with Tampa Bay, two 2nds and a 3rd rounder for it. We need to draft for depth, not really a heavy impact player at #9. I would also dump Lynch to whom ever would give a 2nd and 4th or 5th rounder for him. This would potentially give us four 2nd rd picks total and an additional 4th or 5th rounder. Draft for depth this season.
-
Give up the Dream sceniario's and hope that Nix trades down into the late 1st round to garner more picks, preferably 2nd and 3rd rounders. This team needs depth at OL, DL and LB corp. We can draft a franchise QB next year and an impact player or 2 at select positions, but these dream drafts are just rubish.

Bills offered McNabb an extension
Bills(70) replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
RIght on mentalsick, I completely agree. In my view all McNabb would have brought to Buffalo is a couple of years riding out losing seasons. This team needs a total rebuild, regardless of what management, the media or anyone else will try and sell to the fans. The OL, DL and LB corp need to be addressed this draft. So we admit were going to be horrible next season, big deal folks, we admitted that in the late 80's as we rebuilt into a superbowl contender. Its a cycle that, as unfortunate as reality is, this team failed to address on a serious level for 10+ years. Now its byting them in the ass, but no biggie, just do the rebuild and get it done and stop trying to feed the fan base some over rated, over the hill QB like McNabb. -
Would have been more credible if you had said Breeze and Bush for Lynch and Whitner
-
Trent Edwards is not a franchise QB. With this fact known already, I would let him start this coming season and play all 16 games. The Bills should be looking to take a franchise QB next draft class.

Interesting Trade Rumor that could affect us
Bills(70) replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If I was Nix, I ask the unnamed team to throw in their 2011 3rd rounder and they can have #9 -
Oh come on, why was the JW thread deleted?
Bills(70) replied to Lv-Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
See what you started John, even the writers and editors are bickering now -
Negative on the trade up. TRADE DOWN, we aren't getting close to Bradford, you may as well hang it up. However, trading down offers more picks for depth, there will be QB's in the next draft as well. Nix needs to build a rock solid defense, I trade down if I were him and get as many 2nd and 3rd round picks as possible.
-
Agreed, Fred Jackson is much better than Marshawn the Felon. Trade Lynch, he is useless to this team, only brings negative press and "HAS NEVER BEEN A GAME CHANGER". Get rid of his free loading Butt.
