I'm not usually "that guy" but I still don't believe LaCanfora. Wasn't he dead wrong about something a few weeks ago?

Jags WR Justin Blackmon Suspended Indefinitely
The Helmet of replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Jags seem to be failing at every level of their organization. Blackmon should be ashamed of himself, and will stand to lose a lot of money. But more than that, the decision to select him in the first place falls on management and scouts. If my memory serves, he had plenty of character issues in college. I read his apology! so moving, just like the last one! Why not save the apologies this time around -
Positive Mojo: Bills could easily win this week
The Helmet of replied to dayman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
they will easily win! no Qb necessary! just put ten players out there on offense. -
it's ridiculous to think an UDFA making his first start won't play well against an 8-0 team? that's ridiculous? i swear, some fans would still think the Bills would win without a QB on the roster.

Bills are undefeated vs. Saints at the Superdome

The Bills haven't played at the superdome in 15 years? -
you want to murder people who don't agree with you about football? you need psycho therapy, man. this poster is consistently my least favorite thing about reading these message boards. yeah yeah, i know, i'm a retard. get your sniper rifle and murder me from your balcony. yeah yeah, i know, i'm a retard, because i don't find your psychotic sense of humor funny. Any other caustic responses I'm missing? Every time you don't agree with someone on these boards, you say the same few things, which are essentially the same thing: "close down the thread/Mods why is there a thread here? or "oh my god the OP is a retard." I'd say you've posted some variation of this 20 thousand times. Are you looking forward to your next 20 thousand times saying it? And I'm sure you are proud of your inability to communicate with any member of the human species who disagrees with you in even the slightest regard. But why would you want to communicate with any of them, they're all retards, just like me, right? Beat your chest proudly!

there's not a lot of domination going on in the NFL right now. before week 7, 70% of the games were within 7 points in the 4th quarter.
-
You spelled Jauron and Mularkey wrong, you should probably consider spelling Gailey wrong too, for consistency. The game day threads are ridiculous. Fire this guy, trade this guy, cut this guy. The truth is that 50% of the fans around here don't watch any other football, just the Bills games, so they have a very narrow view of the league.

Crossman stands right next to Marrone the whole game and they are constantly talking. As another poster said, they are clearly close friends with a long history. His special teams units are consistently bad and he needs to do a better job.

Is Stephon Gilmore an above average CB???
The Helmet of replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Analytics last year suggest that he is far above average -- in the very good category. He's competing with one arm out there, and still good enough to play in the league. That should tell you that he's a good player. -
Thad is getting no love. He deserves a hell of a lot of credit for the way he's played against two good defenses, coming off the practice squad. I've seen all the Dolphins games this year and they're a good club, their only bad came came against the Saints. Bitching about bad QB play is ridiculous. The guy came in against a vicious pass rush, took a few vicious shots, and helped the team get the win. How good can you expect him to be? He wasn't here during training camp. Lord almighty fans here are stupid.

he seemed relatively articulate, actually, he did his best to give jim rome a good interview. and he did his best in the spanish interview, too. maybe he doesn't like the dumb questions the local media ask him.

Thaddeus Lewis starting against Bengals
The Helmet of replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
OKAY PEOPLE. This might be of interest. Here is my scouting report from week 17, 2012, Thad Lewis, starting QB for the Browns @ Pittsburgh. Weather below freezing. (NFL gamepass is cool!) At the time, the Steelers D was ranked #1 in the league, 1st against the run, second against the pass. Lewis looked okay. He's definitely tough. He took quite a few shots from a hard hitting Steelers D, one from James Harrison (a personal foul) in particular, and got right up. And he wasn't getting hit because he was holding onto the ball too long. He was getting hit because the Steelers D is coached by Dick Lebeau and is really good. Lewis hangs right in there and lets it rip. His arm is strong, actually you might even say he has a "laser." But his accuracy is off, even on some of his completions. He almost got a couple of his receivers killed from bad ball location. A few of the throws, though, looked really pretty. He threw one interception, to Troy Polumalu. Polumalu looked like he baited him into making the throw. He had another one that could have been intercepted, and was a misread/miscommunication perhaps? He also threw a TD during a goal to go. In conclusion? It was a meaningless game for both teams, both of which were disqualified by then from the playoffs. Lewis didn't run at all, which surprised me, but that wasn't Cleveland's offense under Shurmur. His arm is definitely strong enough to play in the league. Beyond that, it's hard to make any meaningful conclusion after one game, but honestly, considering it was his first game against a #1 ranked D and a hall of fame coordinator, the kid hung in there and slung it around pretty good. -
Thaddeus Lewis starting against Bengals

Yeah. Clearly they should never have cut him in the first place. I reason I recall being given was he wasn't getting enough reps. Brilliant. -

I have NFL game pass. time to watch his week 17 start against the steelers from last year. At least he has a regular season start against a Dick Labeau coached defense. -
Thaddeus Lewis starting against Bengals

I don't know if it's fair to say that. Reports were that they tried to sign Freeman, but he wants to go somewhere where he can be the permanent starter. Freeman sounds like a real punk. He had a chance to play here and show the whole league he can play, but he wanted Minnesota instead. I'm sure the Bills would have given him the three million that the VIkings gave him. I predict his career will be over within the next two years. He's getting paid 11 million this year and look at his performance. Strange how things like that can happen. I guess Pat White wanted to play hard ball with the Bills and use the Raiders as leverage. Go for it man, you've been out of the league for three years and had a chance to start, but your agent wants you to maximize your earning potential. Have fun being a non-entity in the league. Sounds like a couple of punks who didn't want to play here. Thad Lewis -- what the hell, give him a shot. -

Well. Let's go Thad then! Run him around -- run the option, throw the kitchen sink at them! You've got nothing to lose with this guy... -

@Browns - Thursday Night Football

An example of Sully's laziness. Choice had 91 yards against a Dick Jauron coached D. Roy Horton is a different story... -
@Browns - Thursday Night Football
The Helmet of replied to bobobonators's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just watched the Browns/Bengals game. Some observations: Joe Haden shut down AJ Green. And he tackles like an old fashioned football player. The Browns defense looks solid, totally shut down town the Bengals running game. Dalton made a few nice throws, but missed more often than not. On the other hand, the Browns have absolutely no running game at all. Our old friend Willis McGahee has resurfaced... Browns tight end Cameron had a good game. Have some weapons at receiver, surprisingly! As for Hoyer -- not sure yet. The jury is still out on him. Had a few nice looking throws. Norv Turner is putting him in position not to make a lot of mistakes. Has been sacked a few times against the Browns, and was sacked a bunch of times last week against the Vikings. A Pettine defense could confuse him. And it will be on him to beat the Bills, since the Browns have no running game. -
Ryan Fitzpatrick to start

good luck fitz. never had a good arm, but always gave it his best, and was tough as nails taking shots...
