  1. Well he's tried stretching the field. Helps when your recievers can get open.
  2. I'm going to college and working out in Michigan. I miss WNY every day I get up. I know I'm going to be out here for a few years (more jobs in my field here than there) but I fully intend to move back eventually. My friends give me **** every day because everything always winds up with me talking about the Bills or Sabres, or something back in NY.
  3. Not to mention theres a month until these games, 50k tickets in a 70k seat stadium over 3 games... thats not that bad. Especially with one on X-mas eve. Don't know why they're putting them on sale now though.
  4. Levitre missed his block. Sneak won't work against that DL, at least not today.
  5. He was a great player IMO. Probably 3rd best in that decade behind Moorman and Lindell. Maybe he'll come back as a coach at some point in time?
  6. Maybe trying to get some momentum rolling in the whites for the long road stretches that are coming up in the 2nd half of the season?
  7. He would probably be nociced a bit more on kickoff returns if, oh, they existed this year.
  8. Well if the cold weather SB in NJ works out in a few years, maybe they'll consider making the rounds in the open-air northeast stadiums. First NJ, then Boston, then if we get enough heated luxury boxes maybe the Ralph!
  9. I don't think he's the kind of player who will get all pissy and hold out (a-la CJ-NoK). He just wants to play football. I don't think he should be paid anywhere near "top RB" money" but then again I don't think anyone should be paid that much money. That being said, barring injury I think they'll work something out either this offseason or next. I have no idea why everyone is throwing such a fit about him not having a new contract when theres still another season on his current one. If they sign him to a 3-5 year $25mil guaranteed contract now and he goes down by the end of the year, then what? Pay him when the time comes. He just wants to play ball.
  10. Pretty sure it was always Marine Midland Arena as well. And Pilot Field. The only venues that kept their respective names through history seem to be the Aud and the Rockpile. If the naming rights would get a sponsor for major upgrades to the stadium, I have no issue going to Cheerios Stadium to see the Bills.
  11. So we're ahead of schedule by a year? Geez, in most places that would get you a helluva bonus.
  12. Rogers Communication will probably "buy out" all of the remaining tickets at the last minute, though they already have bought out all of the tickets. Its likely just a way to try to get more people to buy the tickets and travel the 2 hours to the game because they think it will be blacked out.
  13. Of course... Has to be on Fox the same time that theres a Detroit game. One of these weeks maybe, JUST MAYBE, a Bills game will actually get broadcast in Michigan. Is that too much to ask?
  14. The real question is why doesn't the county sell the naming rights to the stadium? That alone should cover a good deal of the renovation cost.
  15. If Luck was truly a system QB, he'd be sucking this year in a system that just changed. Even with a coaching change and a lot of players that left due to that (as usually happens) he stuck around and is just as good under new coaching as he was previously. I expected his stock to drop off this year as most senior QB's do, especially under new systems, but he is still #1. That says something about how good he is at the game.
  16. Well we only run screen passes, and I dont think I've ever seen a tight end screen...
  17. As a footnote: Also see Favre. I have no issue with how Fitz played yesterday. I put the loss more on the defense than the offense. Were his mistakes killers? Yes. But its hard to win when a team puts up 400+ yards against you. Giants put up 414 yesterday. Were we in a position to win? Yes, but it wasn't an easy one. If our D could have made a few more key stops, then Fitz wouldn't have been pressured as much as he was.
  18. I'm far more comfortable this week than I was going into Cinci. That one had the feel of a trap game, which it was, but I feel it was good for the players. Getting that first loss out of the way was a big relief, and I think we can win this one. Hopefully Chan gets the team to stick their collective foot in the pedal and not let up until the game is over (unlike the last few weeks).
  19. Huston/baltimore? In Michigan? Really? WTF.
  20. For some reason I cant shake the feeling that they were actually going to try to run the ball if they hadn't drawn the penalty
  21. As a Bills fan, and as much as I'd like to see Miami to have to endure the friendly-fire-esque WRATH of Trentative, I hope they get someone like Gerrard. They need someone who will perform just well enough so that they are taken out of the Luck sweepstakes and will stay wallowing in the shallows for years to come.
  22. Pretty sure I saw him a few times running down field after someone. Impressive to see that much mass moving after someone.
  23. That is one thing that Chan brought in from the start: the "winning" attitude. You definitely see that in the player's interviews. They expect to win each game. You can't go into a game and think "well, lets keep this close" or "I think we're going to lose today." If you want to win, you need to plan to win.
  24. I was on the field during pregame of that one... I still get chills thinking of how much energy was in the stadium that night. I can imagine that this one was close.
