    I don't think it had anything to do with Harper running out a pop up. I think he doesn't like Harper and was looking for a reason to give him **** and that was the opportunity he was waiting for.

    He looked shocked and shrinked away instead of fighting back. What really irks me are these panty waist radio guys who think it's an outrage that Papplebon went at him, but absolve Harper for inviting it.

    I'd just like to mention this as another example of how spending a year away from the game doesn't necessarily cause a player's skills to deteriorate.

    It kinda sucks that the Pats and Dolphins get the Dallas JV squad and then we get them after Romo and Dez come back. 4 of our first 5 games coming out of the bye are Miami, NYJ, KC, and Houston. Put differently, our defense is set to face Tannyhill, Fits, A Smith, and Mallet. It will be brutal, but not for us.

    The thing that strikes me (my sample is a few people on talk radio) is the level of outrage. I don't think teammates fighting in the dugout should be shrugged off as no big deal, but I just don't see a glorified shoving match between an aging vet with a chip on his shoulder and the young superstar with an attitude problem as a shocking scandal either.

    That seems to be what the commentators are calling for. I think the outrage towards Williams is over the top, but apparently he's been on the hot seat for a while now. I don't think it was appropriate for Papplebon to do it either, but I hear Harper's a young punk and I kind of respect his willingness to go toe to toe with a guy of Harper's size, strength, and athleticism.

    I don't get why anyone gives a !@#$ what the pope thinks about anything other than Catholic doctrine. He's not an economist, geologist, or any other kind of scientist.     The biggest variable is TT's performance. Miami has nothing approaching elite at any position on their offense and their defense appears to have been highly overrated. If TT can sustain drives and protect the ball I think this will be a sure win.

    I do. They could have asked a king's ransom for that pick and used that to build a team around Manning. It may not have been what's best 6-10 years out, but it would have been better in the short run. If course, I'm also of the belief that legends of the game carry more value than a cold calculation reflects.

    Wouldn't surprise me. If would be consistent with the trend across the last 2 cycles. And again, all the liberals who claim to be moderates who would vote for a Republican if Republicans weren't so extreme will once again pass up the moderate for a far left idealogue.

    It's like this for the Redskins too. Every Kirk Cousins conversation becomes an RG3 discussion. Fortunately for us it seems almost [but not] all of our fans are pulling for Taylor. The same can't be said for Cousins.
