    Ultimately- the better passer will win. Today it’s josh but both have a lot of work left to be a guy winning consistently with a mature nfl roster surrounding a franchise an contract. how many of those backs are also trying to throw pin point passes with a shaky foundation or busted shoulder?

    they don’t need it til signing players and I swear this is the only board I see guys worried about rookie cap hits. It’s sooooo easy to move money that being remotely close is simple to fix and that money is really minimal

    in theory this should be the best roster Allen ever plays with in his career unless they get horribly conservative. This is the year you must make the splash moves.

    On top of all that though it’s unlearning the flow, the instincts of when and where to cut etc... how to react to a linebacker engaging his blocker will be different based on backside pursuit, safeties coming down, etc.

    They were hoping he’d step up pass rushers are hard to come by Pretty much the formula for DE and WR. Go get talent and when you think you have enough stack one more guy. we have the money and we have the need. It’s how we get to the next level

    one thing I will say- can you imagine if there was a run on backs and we missed out? mccoy-gore-yeldon could’ve been a rough trio to ride a whole year

    hence an over or under 5.5 Pick which side it lands on is the point of that structure, though I don’t really expect to follow that. It was just some jumping off numbers for short vs long, and exceptional vs unheard of compensation

    as bubbles go... they haven’t wildly shot up as a percentage of cap. It’s been pretty steady in the mid to high teens as a percent. The cap on the other hand has shot up a ton. 40m would be at 20%, roughly, when signed and fade towards 15%

    Bingo. it’s why we should push the chips in regardless of what you think of josh. Try to get the trophy and if nothing else give him every advantage to get over the hump and then sort it out later, because if he is the guy it’s easy to sort out and if he’s not you are at least rebuilding after a fun ride.

    yup. And unlike many of these teams with young QBs, mahomes looks to have the head and arm. probably forgetting someone but last team to age into this tier is probably Seattle? KC won’t be there every year ala NE but think they will consistently be in the conversation for 2 decades

    a turnover on a kneel down and a TD is a bigger. but not trying to beat up a young man in THAT moment. Just one of my football things that irks me a little as we see it so often.
