  1. the pse folks also work on accounts ranging from the stadiums, the minor league teams, the one buffalo campaign, several restaurants and even the Marriott, in case helpful to share specific examples all of those orgs almost certainly each still have an in house person or two also depending on specific needs (the amerks probably having more need than the bakery for instance where I’d guess it’s a sales, marketing and events consolidated single position)
  2. Looking at my local 2 sport ownership group saints have it broken out as “marketing and game presentation” with 13 total members. When you back out things like dance team manager, etc... it’s 8 folks and most share duties with both saints and pelicans. so a handful in house and sure they have a larger scale out of house partner too
  3. to be fair, the PSE folks work for 20+ non bills accounts. So that the local reporters are telling you that the bills in house marketing team has all departed is still potentially very true. @Kirby Jackson could probably shine a lot of Light structurally here but I’d venture most teams have a few in house folks and and outside contractor as well. That we list the outside contractors full team on our website is likely the only unique factor here, based on my much more limited knowledge.
  4. a coordinator is not an intern. The dude worked for the team for 2+ years in a professionally employed capacity while not attending college. it appears he left the team to start grad school, which is good on him. also I’m not sure a non updated linked in is anything. Many don’t update until they have a new job. last up - absolutely not. Especially in marketing dollars are tight for new hires. Many companies are tightening the belt and if choosing between an operational role or a marketing role are cutting the marketing dollars back.
  5. not impossible. do you think its reasonable to think that there was some sort of unpleasant atmosphere that contributed to them leaving? lots of things are possible here but one seems the shortest jump. And also happens to line up with a bit of a reputation we have heard of. and also is what the reporters seem to be trying to tell us. im not sure why some seem to be taking the idea that the report could be accurate personally. It’s not a huge deal even if true, but might be some insight behind the curtain.
  6. And from the other side it’s questioning whether you should have better standards in who you appreciate and what having your back means
  7. I’m also surprised people thought the bills marketing team was potentially 30 people. I had assumed it was likely a handful, unless we suddenly roll in all game day promo people and such. But straight marketing? No way. I think a fair question is whether the issue is the headline or people’s assumptions on this one? and I dislike Timmy as much as anyone here. flip side is top 3-5 hockey tv ratings cities strikes me as a potentially stacked metric to use. like I’d expect buffalo to perform better than a lot of other nhl cities but that’s because I’d expect those other cities to not do well. Whereas the nfl is a beast across the US.
  8. it was just too hard to leave it be without the edit?
  9. have I said anywhere that I think it’ll be hard to fill the positions? what are you arguing with me about at this point ?
  10. is that what you are asserting happened here, doc?
  11. It’s weird. It’s almost like that wasn’t the point at all. But you just can’t resist.
  12. Dude has several thousand followers and gets a few hundred comments/shares a post so he’s got a little more traction than the crazy uncle with 7 friends
  13. it’s still strange to see all 3 leave, no? i don’t get the argument that it’s just three as if that’s insignificant
  14. did you find him interesting too? There have been pretty substantial conversations around it. Whether any have an impact down the line, we will see.
  15. to the second video— There’s some definite coded language in there. I’d be hard pressed to think of the last time I’ve heard someone talk about locking up a white guy before he knocks up 10 different women. Maybe an innocent flub but it sure won’t play well. i agree that often there’s more to the lead up and no need to race to conclusions on any individual incident but at this point people aren’t mad about split hairs or individual incidents. It’s the long and consistent pattern. I agree these individual officers deserve a very fair trial. I also understand why someone would jump to “not this again” without every detail. Because even if this singular one isn’t the one to hang the hat on we just had several that were and surely are about to have several more that do qualify. we could hyper analyze every call in the 04 season in super slo motion with the rule book out or accept that for 20 years it wasn’t a very good team. You know what I mean?
  16. Wasn’t confident with hauschka either. Cam sign better on the street in this case and there’s minimal effort to integrate a new guy.
  17. I think there’s a difference between “no black person should cooperate” and “it’s a bit sheisty to tell black people to shut up and cooperate and there won’t be any issues” in response to one of these incidents
  18. it feels, at least at times in some locations, that there’s some sentiment of it being good to let the militia do what the police can’t. Which is a bit worrisome.
  19. Lot of knocks on pff but not much support of Barkley seems to imply they are at least close here
  20. that he crossed state lines with an illegal weapon is still of note, even if the duration of the drive was a bit less substantial
  21. so I’ll frame the thought exercise a different way and promise I’m not advocating disarming police here so please don’t go that route in a response. My point is how quickly we go to guns and how they change behavior- and not if they should have them in the first place but I’m going to take guns out of the list of options here to discuss alternate outcomes. Police should have them but I’m in favor of better training and accountability in usage. in the Blake situation, if the officer did not have a gun do you think he would have been able to resolve the situation without someone dying? Or similarly apply that to the Atlanta Wendy’s shooting? or what would be different in how Breonna Taylor’s home was approached? i understand that they are sometimes needed, so please skip any straw men with the answers.
  22. so if we expand out from whether or not legally justified to how we would think shootings should happen on a broad level... can’t see where he’s reaching - makes me uncomfortable to just shoot every time and call it good. pulling knife- if you can’t give a bit of space then sure but if you can step back a bit to give buffer and continue managing the situation - I prefer that. Gun involved - I skew pretty heavily to giving officers leeway once it’s a gun in hand.
  23. I’ll point out that I did post earlier that I haven’t taken a firm position on Blake yet as it’s both still unfolding and before tonight I had been keeping a bit too busy to have a grasp on all the details. So much of my discussion has been very broad strokes intentionally. that said, your wife cheats on you 10 times, how patient are you hearing out that #2 and #7 may be a misunderstanding? I don’t know your life but suspect you and I are blessed with this being an more abstract discussion for us than for some others who have to look the fear in the face. Not to overgeneralize but I get how some people could be tired of debating the nuance of each and every case and just be angry that there are so many cases in the first place.
  24. always curious to see your take when these pop up as I know you are pretty progressive on a lot of social issues and very empathetic but also a bit of the old school with things like the work place or order in general. I think we both have a hard time with “it ain’t right but I’m not sure that’s how you fix it” in this case Kenny has a stage and financial security that allows him the ability to make a statement. And coincidentally that statement does align with his current industry, so there’s some professional value to being an ally to the players. Honestly I don’t know him or his employer well enough to comment but it’s a hell of a moment playing out
