Yep, Suzy said it last night...
Surfmeister replied to Greg de'Ville's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm glad you told me that. The sight of her face MAKES ME hit the mute button ASAP. Is she on TV to attract the elusive bull dyke demographic? She can't be of interest to men (male men that is), she is the reason many men have turned gay and I know she repulses my wife. The network should move her to reporting on semi-pro women's softball. -
Movie likes and dislikes are personal opinions. What is great to you I may not like. If I told you the new Aqua Teen Hunger Force DVD is now in stores and you should buy it because it is very funny and not a waste of money, would you even check to see if you are interested in it? With that said ... I'm glad you liked the movie.

OT - How did you all think of your names?
Surfmeister replied to bartshan-83's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Greg De'Ville gave it to me because at the time people thought I could search fast. We used metacrawler back then in the mid 90s. Now I'm thinking on basing my name on reality and calling myself Thread Killer. -
.... and IF the movie would have been set during the 2004 Summer Olympics at the Women's Volleyball match ... the spoiler post would have REALLY ruined the ending for all of us.

I wouldn't know. When Tom Jackson's face appears on my TV I hit mute. I can't stand how he talks, and what he says is Pop Warner basics. He's lucky he's got that job.

This is the last I will say about Bledsoe
Surfmeister replied to ICE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
PS to those that say 'I' don't have a clue and I am wrong...I say this, we have had great defenses in the last 7 years including this one. When was the last time we made the divisional round of the playoffs? Oh and it's been a decade since we went to a superbowl as well. Funny how that seems to go somewhat hand in hand with Kelly's retirement. but I am sure that has nothing to do with it. 136886[/snapback] WTF ! Kelly retired ?? When did that happen ?? -
This is puzzling that an entire city...

Look at it this way Sue. A lot of people cheer when they buy a brand new car. But sometimes they find out it is a lemon. -
OT-I hate working with all women...
Surfmeister replied to IBTG81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Have fun with the situation. Start a rumour that you have a tiny p*nis. So small it can hardly be seen. Then you'll get REAL popular with the women. -
There’s a place for us Somewhere a place for us Peace and quiet and open air Wait for us Somewhere There’s a time for us Someday there’ll time for us Time together and time to spare Time to learn, time to care Someday, somewhere We’ll find a new way of living Will find there’s a way of forgiving Somewhere... somewhere... somewhere... There’s a place for us A time and a place for us Hold my hand and we’re half way there Just hold my hand and I’ll take you there Somehow... Someday, somewhere... ... or ... I’ll be loving you always With a love that’s true always. When the things you’ve planned Need a helping hand, I will understand always. Always. Days may not be fair always, That’s when I’ll be there always. Not for just an hour, Not for just a day, Not for just a year, But always. I’ll be loving you, oh always With a love that’s true always. When the things you’ve planned Need a helping hand, I will understand always. Always. Days may not be fair always, That’s when I’ll be there always. Not for just an hour, Not for just a day, Not for just a year, But always. Not for just an hour, Not for just a day, Not for just a year, But always. I can't sing either one of these to my wife without tearing-up. She cries when I sing too but it's for a different reason.

The concept of "we" in sports
Surfmeister replied to JoeFerguson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The team is nothing but a set of empty jerseys that rotating players wear on a temp basis. We the fans have lived through several full rotations of ALL of the players and several coaching staffs as well. We the fans are the business stakeholders and we also finance the organization through ticket sales and all the licensed Bills junk we purchase. We the fans are more the team than the players themselves. Bottom Line: Fans rule, players drool. -

Surfmeister replied to erynthered's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The mob has two very strong parts. One part is Italian. They take the heat. I'm talking about role models here. Young blacks take their role models from entertainment. However the role models are not The Temptations, the Ohio Players or Earth, Wind and Fire any longer. The role models are hard core thugs. As far as Ozzy goes, I do not agree his music makes kids commit suicide. But being married to his wife would make me want to. Thank you for the bait, but I just had lunch ~ -

Rap is a tool. It is a form of what is called Agitation-Propaganda. Or in short Agit-Prop. Take a lok at who owns the PARENT compenies of the rap record labels and you'll understand why it has grown so large. The lay definition is rap incites the listener to perform violent acts, have a disrespectful attitude regarding authority and never accept disrespect from anyone. This disrespect ranges from killing someone to looking at someone the wrong way. This attitude when accepted by young black males makes them sitting ducks for police. They either break the law or even better yet perform violence against eachother by splitting black males into warring factions. Then the prison population piles up and the young blacks on the street disappear.... like magic! Have a problem with a specific group of males? Just split them into groups that ARE TAUGHT to hate each other (Crips vs Bloods)and let them solve your problem by kiiling themselves and each other acting out their rap induced hate. This mode of living has found it's way into the NBA big time. Hence the problem. The sadest part for me is when young white males fall for this rap trap and act out like they are part of the target audience. Someone should have noticed something wasn't right when we saw young blacks dressed in flannel lumberjack shirts with down jackets standing on the corner in Compton, CA in the 90 degree heat. They bought a lemon somewhere along the way. If it were only fashion gone wrong it wouldn't be so sad. But it is much much bigger than boxers hanging out of the top of oversized jeans. -
HOW DOES HE DO IT!? that, my friends, is a GIFT. ICE, i and my fellow threadkillers (you know who you are) are duly impressed. B) Did someone say Thread Killer? I'm here and I have my services at the ready if required. As a matter of fact this may just do it. Now how does ICE do it? 1.) Of the 57 typical replies, 27 are his. 2.) Also, people LOVE to argue on this board. Say the sky is blue and you'll get 12 posts telling you that you are wrong. ICE has corned the market in that he'll take both sides at the same time. For instance in this thread he plainly says he doesn't give a sh*t what anyone thinks. Then later he says there are really good people on the board. My question is why would a person not give a sh*t what really good people think? Why ... because it makes no sense. 3.) He has shown up in person at a function or two and become part of "the clique". Who is in it? Why all the people who say there isn't one. 4.) Finally he gets so many replies because people like to be the dragon slayer, and that takes a lot of words to try. Jester43 you hit the nail on its celtic head. Have a GREAT Bills Day ~ Surf

Some folks here in Tallahassee and maybe in Oklahoma go to the tailgate, have a great time and don't go in to the game on purpose. Peace ~

Just like God put all of the plants and animals on this earth for the use of people, God put Americans on earth to do anything they friggin want reagrdless of how bad it looks. And I'm proud to be one. Once upon a time in the west the American Indians had this place to themselves. They weren't Americans, they weren't even human, they were savages. Then we came over from Europe and slayed them all after we slandered them first. They all sucked EXCEPT for that hot chick John Smith married and later on she got her own Disney flick. We also ran out of names for bravery so we use some Indian names for sports teams. Also see Robert Altman's film Buffalo Bill and the Indians. Then we didn't like British rule so we terrorists, sh*t I mean insurgents, no I really mean rebels go pissed and threw them out with the help of the (you're not going to believe this) French pussies. We were so proud of ourselves for doing that we even made a holiday called the 4th of July. That also had a movie made about it, but in this version Jeff Goldblum out smarted the aliens because someone named Goldblum has to be smarter than an advanced race from outer space. Just ask Hollywood or watch Lost on TV. So today, we take over Iraq because they have WMD that could kill us. Except we can't find any. So what, they still suck. In the cleanup some of these Iraqees get on our nerves so we shoot them when we need to. Heck, shoot all of them and let God sort it out was the phrase I was raised on. War crimes don't apply to us and that is why I signed the petition. Plus, I'll sign damn near anything tha has the word t*t in it. It makes it spicy! And now, time for a song: Proud To Be An American by Bill Spooner I'm proud to be an American I'm proud of the groovy things we've done There's television, free religion, Rock 'n' roll, Standard Oil, Times Square, Jimmy Darren, Corey Wells, and Smokey Bear, price reduction, reconstruction, Peace Corps, and lots more Culture that we got to lend I'm proud to be an American And I'm proud Had a great time bein' one There's your school and my school and both of us in high school, surfboards, cigarettes, homework, Southern Comfort Boy's dean was real mean, Made us keep our locker's clean Failed nearly every class Ditchin' was a gas I'm proud to be a young American I'm proud, just think about it All the far out things that we've begun There's revolution, constitution, land, sea, and air pollution, cold wars, hot wars, gas wars, and confrontutions, constipation, consternation, open hearted palpitations Muscular Dystrophy I'm proud to be an American Because we got department stores full of cheap guitars But when Sputnik plays 'em, you just go go go go I'm proud to be an American--we got two chickens in every garage And I wish every other kid could be one--in my country, the medium is the massage 'Cause it's impossible to give Equality and justice to inferior foreigners too jealous to trust us Gimme your weak and your homeless How 'bout checkin' the oil ah, fella? I'm proud to be an American B)

Oh ICE take it easy on the fans wouldja? They live in Buffalo New York for heaven's sake. What else is there to do there? I can't remember if you've even lived there as a resident for a few years. So 8 times a year they get to go to the Bills game in person. They tailgate with their friends, have some fun, be glad they are out of the house and THEN they go inside to see the game. I know what is inside the hearts of the Bills fans. If their team is doing great they go to be happy and see them win. If the team isn't doing so great they go to show support for their team. Or like #89 said the other day ... she doesn't even care who wins. It is just a nice way to spend some time with people she likes. And after going to church on Sunday morning it is a real lift from all of that "Lord I am not worthy" happy hooplah. Ralph Wilson has these nice Buffalonians buffaloed. With the NHL a thing of the past and the Buffalo Braves Basketball team long forgotten history what do the sports fans have left? They have da Bills. Have a heart ... Bills fans do!

(MNF)Was anyone here "offended" by the opening
Surfmeister replied to The Poojer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is a hardball world. Either your kids will see it at your house or at their friends house. If you are successful in shielding them from all of it in their private time then the kids at school will either taint them with it there or mock them because they are not street smart, don't speak mandatory ebonics or dress like hoods. I think it is a very very rough time to be raising kids. Then there's the race to see which "adults" can behave more like kids than ever. This is talked about in a fine book called The Sibling Society. It opened my eyes. Here's a link: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/067...9127732-3784042 Good luck raising your kids and may God bless them and keep them safe. Surf -
Can the Bills talk Marino out of retirement
Surfmeister replied to bluenews's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dan Marino as the Bills QB. Osama for US President. Charles Manson as Pope. Roseanne as Miss America. Jimmy Johnson as Bills HC. What do all of the above have in common? Here's a hint: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!! -
I have a copy of that tape. As much as I love DLR he did botch the lyrics a few times. The band did their part but for a million dollar pay day I can see why they were pissed at him after the show.
