  1. I will never understand why we passed him up when he wanted to come. If someone can make the Browns a contender, despite the fact that it was decades ago, take him. At least it goes to show that there ARE at least some talented coaches who do want to come to Buffalo.
  2. Florence has taken a lot of criticism and it has been well deserved. But what did everyone thing of the TD pass to Brandon Marshall in the 3rd quarter? I know, why dwell on one play? I only ask because we debated this at the Bills bar I was at. I personally felt like Florence covered him as well as anyone could have and Matt Moore just threw a perfect pass. Even someone like Revis, IMO, could not have done any better in coverage. So what's the verdict, good pass or poor coverage?
  3. Same could easily be said last year. There were reasons we could have beaten the Ravens, Steelers, Chiefs, and Bears last year. We would have beaten 4 playoff teams and finished 8-8. In the end, if we were 8-5 right now I think it would just set us up for heartbreak later in the season. I don't want to stink and have a good record because we were on a roll in some early season games. I want to actually be good and competitive on a consistent week to week basis whether or not that's even close to happening.
  4. One that isn't mentioned much was the 10-3 loss to the 49ers a few years ago. To a certain degree I tend to find that one a little more embarrassing than the Cleveland game that ended similarly because going into the 49er game we at least still had a reasonable shot at the playoffs. Mike Singletary was still in an interim head coach role.
  5. Detroit actually already has us beat by literally a few hours. The same day we played our last playoff game they played thier last playoff game in an evening game. The Lions can be a good example of how to get better. Once you get rid of the people who don't know how to draft (Matt Millen) and bring in people who know how to build a team then those high draft picks year after year will eventually start to pay off.
  6. I felt the same way on 11/18/07
  7. The whole talk of Peyton Manning getting the MVP this year is a little over the top. It's suppose to go to the most valuable player that year not the guy who was officially proven to be the most valuable for the previous 13.
  8. I'll admit to being wrong about both guys picked ahead of Dareus. Oh well, just glad we don't have to live with the regret of passing them up.
  9. These are good, however I don't understand the Broncos nor Falcons logo (I see it's an angry bird, just not sure how it applies).
  10. Call me optimistic or call me delusional but I'm still a BILLiever.
  11. Yeah, I posted that before hearing this news. I wonder if they'll try to sign Garrard.
  12. Exactly! The Texans are the best team no one is talking about. They have been playing without their star receiver for 6 games and are still putting up points and winning games. The D has improved and I don't think they would have lost to the Raiders if they hadn't played them right after Al Davis died. They look like the best all around team in the AFC right now IMO.
  13. No problem with it whatsoever. It was certainly the least of my complaints about the way we played today.
  14. No pom-poms either. We're fans not cheerleaders.
  15. +1000000 I'm sorry, but I don't know how anyone can call our defensive performance good yesterday. We could not stop a mediocre offense at all. There were some questionable calls, such as Wilson's INT overturn, but in the grand scheme of things, we were owned on both sides of the ball.
  16. I couldn't wait for Wednesday's episode to see how the whole Ozzy at redemption island would work. I'm even more psyched for next week's episode to see the fallout from Cochran's decision to switch.
  17. The Giants play bad against bad teams but they also play good against good teams. So I like their chances.
  18. Bills 23 Jets 20 in overtime
  19. If we do make the playoffs this year the only thing that would stink about it is that it will come just a bit too late for Schobel to experience it. He was a shining light during an otherwise disappointing era and he deserved to play for at least one successful team.
  20. At this point, aside from the Packers, anyone else we beat should not be considered a big upset. If we beat the Patriots at NE in the last week of the season that might be a bit of an upset but I don't think it should really shock anyone (though I'm sure there are still skeptics out there who's jaws would hit the floor if we did). I BILLeive we have just as good a shot to at least make it to the Superbowl as any of the top tier AFC teams right now.
  21. Thank you, glad someone realized that.
  22. It was sarcasm, as in that's what the negative people will try to come up with even though it would be ridiculous.
  23. - The Redskins were banged up - Fitz fumbled and threw a pic in the endzone - We got lucky that Donte Stallworth tripped on that Byrd interception Those are just a few but I'm sure they will come up with others.
  24. I absolutely agree about Jackson especially if we make the playoffs. Unfortunately, since he's not the media darling that Brady and Rodgers are he doesn't stand much of a chance unless those two just completely choke in the second half of the season. And of course if you even suggest Jackson to most people who aren't Bills' fans they'd think you're nuts.
