  1. I don't know Bill, your "Serious question" quickly devolves into a defensive rant. Despite that, I'll give a brief, somewhat serious answer: - I did not critique a poster, merely his argumentative responses in this discussion. - I also did not critique this site (which I very much enjoy), merely the argumentative responses in this discussion - You are correct, I rarely post. When I do, it is usually supportive of the conversation at hand. That's just my personality. - Finally, I am sorry to read that BADOLBILZ may have forgotten a lot of football. I hope he gets his memory back. Does being from NYC, Bill, contribute to your effervescent style of communications?
  2. Fair enough. We all have our tastes. If BADOLBILZ had a point beyond just arguing, I too would enjoy the back and forth.
  3. Honestly Coach, I haven't found this to be "good discourse" at all. While JW is sharing his (quality) thoughts and information, BADOLBILZ has petulantly and pointlessly argued with every post, as if taking on a sportswriter is providing 15 minutes of fame. I look forward to what JW has to share and have had to tolerate BADOLBILZ' (I want ice cream!!!!!!) grade school level responses to read it.
  4. Bring back Fred Flinstone and Barney Rubble as Water Buffaloes on the video screen.
  5. Too funny. We simultaneously wrote the same thing, using different words. I approve of this message.
  6. I do not believe this is a "minor" point. I agree with you, emphatically. In a quality learning environment, self-critical thinking is imperative and accountability is a key to improvement. As much as I (we) like Allen, we all know he must learn and improve - quite a bit. He obviously has the physical tools. His willingness to admit and own his mistakes and growth opportunities are what will propel him to excellence as an NFL quarterback. It also is what will make him a credible leader in a locker room full of alpha males. In this way, I think he is remarkably like McDermott. Color me excited.
  7. Well stated Mr. Shaw. Drop the mic and drink the beer I have waiting for you. Fun times are upon us.
  8. This is a rediculous statement. While I am hoping form10-6, even if the Bills fall short, McDermott is on very solid ground.
  9. I feel silly for asking. But why do we wish Ill will on Rueben Foster?
  10. Or, you lack basic writing skills. Your comment read as very snide. Also, I didn't see anyone go crazy. So, maybe your reading comprehension is as much a growth opportunity as your writing. Let's begin with commas...
  11. That was a lot of work on your part. I completely enjoyed reading it. Thank you very much!
  12. I try to be a positive fan, being respectful of others. However, anything that embarrasses or harms the Jets makes me happy.
  13. Old age brings thick skin. Not a problem.
  14. It's too early to make any calls on Beane or McDermott. All they have done so far is take out the trash. Success will be defined by how they rebuild with all the resources currently at their disposal. Having said that, I think they cleaned out the team very well and am optimistic that, in two years, this speculation will prove itself o be true.
  15. I love the final paragraph of the article: "People can say what they want about Tyrod Taylor as a quarterback, but in terms of a human being, there is no argument. Taylor is a first-class guy through and through." Absolutely. And for that, I will always be proud and happy he quarterbacked my team.
  16. When Josh Allen was announced, with my hopes for Josh Rosen, I dropped an F bomb in front of my family. I never swear with that crowd. I am now a big Josh Allen fan and enjoy being teased by my family for being so wrong. I believe we Bills fans have an increasingly bright future.
  17. The easiest part about this decision is his leadership and team-first focus. If his play declines (a real possibility at his age), we know he will shift to a mentor role and continue to contribute. Bring this guy back until he proves he can't do it anymore.
  18. I love reading this board. It feeds my Bills habit on a daily basis. However, idiocy is sometimes difficult to tolerate. This is one of the dumbest posts I have seen.
  19. I actually feel there is no defense of Hughes for his behavior after last week's game. I don't care if someone called you a naughty name. Chasing an official, or any humanbeing, screaming and threatening irrationally, is inexcusable. Typical, entitled and arrogant athlete. Jerry is a great, hardworking player. I love what he brings to the Bills. But, he really needs to grow the hell up.
  20. While I agree with the sentiment of the post and ridiculing the Patsies is always fun, is anyone going to acknowledge that Costa Rica is in Central America and not The Carribean?
  21. Well done. I couldn't have said it better.
  22. mod·es·ty ˈmädəstē/ noun the quality or state of being unassuming or moderate in the estimation of one's abilities. "with typical modesty he insisted on sharing the credit with others" synonyms: self-effacement, humility, unpretentiousness;
  23. I am not against the idea of committing to Tyrod. His improvement opportunities are undeniable and this board certainly calls them out loudly. I worry, however, that he is deemed by many to be "inadequate" in comparison to Rodgers and Brady. That is just silly. I agree that he is not going to the Hall of Fame. He has proven that we can win with him. He has proven that he can win with weak supporting casts. He has proven to be mentally and emotionally strong. He is an excellent leader. He has unique tools for the position and we have benefitted from his performance. He is one of the reasons we are in the playoffs. If we can do better, great. I guarantee you that we can do a lot worse. Please don't lose sight of that.
  24. Other than my season tickets, I have no connection with the Bills...no insider knowledge, no friendships with employees, nothing. However, I have been a fan since 1970 and feel plenty empowered to use the word "we" when discussing "my" Buffalo Bills. Just my view on it. FWIW, I believe WE are going to roll the Dolphins tomorrow.
  25. Given all the hateful negativity this board regularly spews out, I do not understand your problem with DD. This conversation, while possibly (probably) fictional, is so much more enjoyable than "TT sucks!", "Vlad sucks!", "Fire Rico!", "McBeane gave the house away!". If you don't like it, just don't click...please.
