  1. Evidence that Diggs wanted his deal re-done prior to the end of his Vikings deal? The fact that it got re-done prior to the end of his Vikings deal is sufficient proof for this civil proceeding, your honor. Take the L.
  2. 1. Allen 2. deGrom 3. Cole 4. Judge 5. Scherzer 6. Stanton 7. Durant 8. Diggs 9. Von Miller 10. Irving NHL is a very regional interest only in US and a minor league revenue sport compared to the other 3 so I wouldn't put any hockey players on the list. Durant and Irving are of probably the two best athletes on the list but their antics and the generally not-fan-friendly, play when we feel like nature of the NBA hurts them in a fan poll, IMO.
  3. I can't recall seeing anyone with the old card-stock ticket-shaped tickets in recent years. Paper printouts......like boarding passes printed off your home printer........I have seen. Otherwise it's cards and E. The cards are great and a good enough collectible, IMO. Electronic only I wouldn't recommend..........seen people have issues with phones going into games. Card is the way to go and you can use your card for playoff games as well.
  4. 1) So let's get this straight........in your mind Beane extending Stefon Diggs contract with 2 years still remaining on the original deal is in some way proof that I was wrong about Diggs camp hoping to get his deal re-done prior to now? IMO that is a completely pointless......fact-free attempt to look factual argument..........simply made by you for the sake of arguing. FACT: his deal being extended with multiple years remaining on it is proof that Diggs clamored for a new contract prior to the end of his prior one. I think it's naive to believe the thought just crossed his mind last week..........but you think what you want. 2) I think this is the top of the market for the next few years because there has been an over-reaction by teams to the value of a top WR. It's certainly not just the quality of the receivers available. I've heard mulitiple NFL observers say that the games on divisional weekend between Buffalo/KC and LAR/Bucs..........where 4 strong defense's looked helpless against elite passing games..........especially at the ends of those games...........frightened a lot of teams into thinking they simply can't compete with these elite QB'd teams unless they are absolutely dynamic thru the air. As a result teams that are desperate for a big season......to save jobs or prop up young QB's or get out from under the domination of a division rival.......are paying thru the nose for UFA WR's.........despite what I think is actually an increasingly supply heavy situation at WR around the league. And that supply will only deepen in a few weeks when another top-10 all-time kinda' WR deep group enters the league.........the 3rd straight such draft. As the supply gets closer to the demand...........contracts will level off.........it's the law of the market. 3) Example:.......5 years ago CB1's were getting bigger deals than WR1's.........CB1 market has leveled off. 4) The structure of the contract may well leave them with only 1 or 2 years of bad dead money. But as I stated in point 2...........supply is increasing at the WR position and Diggs original deal was going to end with him in his 30's..........it would have been safer to see what he looks like AFTER this coming season(going into age 30 year) and then work from a market that I expect will be leveled off. I mean most of his yards-per metrics have declined substantially from not just last year but 2019 as well. And did he or did he not just put up a 3 catch 6 yard game in the playoffs in Kansas City? Why was NOW the better time to make him the second highest guaranteed dollar WR in the league with 2 years left on a deal?
  5. .......then what? If it's just a job to you...........and you are resting on the sideline when the opposing offense is on the field........and you don't have to watch tape or gameplan against those players.........it isn't a given that you are going to know or care to know who those opposing players are. Some people can't grasp that not all players are fans............some of them even hate their job...........just like a lot of clock punching fans who spend their work day secretly logged on to TSW do.
  6. It's a new NHL record! https://www.espn.com/nhl/story/_/id/33690130/buffalo-sabres-eliminated-nhl-playoff-contention-record-11th-straight-season
  7. It's easy to get ratioed on a fanatic site where even a measured take of neutrality is considered an affront. What makes this one so impressive is that the OP posted a pro-fanatic optimistic take. And they still hate it quite passionately.
  8. Terrible game to Oilers fans. Thinking that is a "greatest game ever" type is like calling the Music City Miracle a "greatest game ever". The Bills/Chiefs game was a real back and forth battle.........not a tale of two halves like the comeback game or a weird game of futility with one big play at the end like that MCM game(Bills held Steve McNair to like 60 yards passing.......Bills offense and special teams were bad all day).
  9. They've had success with later picks at CB as well........Taron Johnson (4th) Dane Jackson (6th) and Levi Wallace (UDFA). People downplay the significance of that.........but it's not like they've used a lot of picks.........the hit rate has been extraordinary..........which either reflects unbelievable evaluating talent or just maybe that the system and coaching makes the player in their secondary.
  10. Nice to see Injurino survive his first start since 2019.........says he feels good. Stanton and Rizzo off to great starts. The team will only go as far as the HR's and Blake's bullpen takes them. Their system has been loaded with right handed arms for a few years.......the young starters haven't really materialized.......but they have 6-10 very good arms that are ready to contribute and they can shuttle back and forth to Scranton to keep the pen fresh. Only downside with that pen depth is that they can only shuttle a guy 5x this season under new CBA. IKF looking real shaky at SS though.........he has 2 errors now and also bobbled a DP ball yesterday that nearly cost them..........this after he had 19 errors there last year......same as the unplayable Gleyber Tortoise. With his shaky bat IKF future may be back at catcher if he ain't pickin' it at SS. Switch hitting SS Oswaldo Cabrera could be up soon if IKF can't get his glove workin right. He doesn't have much hittability but can field and run and has real good pop from left side.
  11. 1) Well.......yes there is.....https://www.ourlads.com/nfldepthcharts/depthchart/BUF 6 boundary CB's under contract 2) I think you were alluding to the word "elude" 3) Tre is a question mark compared to what? He's an All Pro who is going to be 10 months post surgery at the beginning of the season. Should he take the season off or no?
  12. Yep. But you generally gotta' have it all to be prioritized as a 1st round CB. There were some who were down on the Tre White pick because he was just 4.47-4.55 40 guy. And that DOES show up sometimes against very fast receivers who have made him look slow. Hill burned him alive in the AFCCG. But in zone defense the other traits tend to be called upon so much more so most times he is put in position to look great and rarely disappoints. If you don't need the whole package you can usually find the most important traits you need all over the draft.........whether that be just pure speed/quickness to play man or more zone traits etc.. Example.......the best route matcher in Bills history was probably Jabari Greer.........an undrafted free agent.
  13. Beerball has a thread for Mess fans. With all the money Steven A. spent the past two offseasons.........if they Mets this season up like they spectMetsily did last year.......it will be another Metsic failure. But I'm not rooting for that..........hopefully the Mess do well and it puts some pressure on shallow pockets Hal to stop dickin around with the luxury tax thresholds and just do what's best for the team on the field. They make 10x+ the profit of the average MLB team it's distasteful to get near the thresh and start trying to money-ball their way into wild card contention in a league with no cap. On the plus side.........the farm system is very good and love the coaching/instruction they are giving players.......Matt Blake has been a life saver as pitching coach..........hopefully in a couple years they won't need to spend so much of Hal's precious cash and can start winning the AL East once in a while.
  14. Is this like when Marv Levy and Russ Brandon let players decide if they wanted to play for the Bills and TSW said that was showing the roster and the rest of the league that Buffalo was a good place to play and that would lead to players wanting to play for the Bills? Reality...........players care about: 1) THEIR money 2) THEIR treatment 3) THEIR self interest 4) Everything else In that order. They could be a last class organization.........if the pay is right and the QB is right..........that's ultimately what matters.
  15. He might not have known though. Fans assume that all players at least follow the league somewhat.......that's not always true. I found it funny that Von Miller has talked on camera so much about the mutual admiration between he and Bruce Smith and thinking that he was going to be drafted by the Bills..........but seemed honestly surprised when recently told that the early 90's Bills lost 4 straight SB's. This is a just job for many of these guys. It's a hobby to us.........its work to them.......and some don't care one bit about what happens in the league when they are not at work.
  16. 1) Not ever = Never Literally the same thing. 2) Rather than arguing with my point that improving the personnel could greatly reduce his running..........and potentially extend his effectiveness later into his career..........maybe admit that it's obviously the best approach for the organization. And 2-5 isn't a "magic", pulled-out-of-thin-air number.........it's literally the number and a much broader range than it sounds like.........because all the long tenured greats have very, very rarely rushed more than 2-4 times per game in their seasons. What does it take to admit that 2 is A LOT less than 8-10...........saying it's 400% to 500% more? Just admit it for chrissakes. I know people are in a fervor about winning a SB NOW.........and want to patch up every perceived hole and that the assumption is that on the offensive side of the ball Josh Allen can cover up any weakness with his ability to play RB. But if you are going to trust ONE process..........that process should be that job #1 is to protect the QB.
  17. Try looking at it this way. The Bills two current starting boundary CB's had excellent passer ratings against of 59 and 70 in 2021......and their defense finished #1 in pass defense. The Bills OL meanwhile allowed a horrific 125 combined pressures and sacks.........versus the 100 that the much maligned Bengals OL. The Bengals made sweeping changes to their OL. The Bills added a statistically worse pass blocking LG and are otherwise running it back. They are starting from polar opposite positions..........the secondary was excellent........the OL was poor. Neither the CB or OL units on the Bills have depth.....we all know this. But the OL depth are players who are proven awful like Cody Ford and Dolphin scrub Greg Mancz..........while at CB, players like Lewis, McCloud and Griffin are unproven......not proven to be liabiliities.
  18. I don't care about national exposure...........but if this game had taken place between the Giants and the Cowboys............NFL Network would have it playing on loop from 10pm-8am every day. Such a great, great game. I think it will get more recognition as the best game ever as time passes. Doesn't matter that neither team won the SB..............a lot of the greatest NFL playoff games......Immaculate Reception or Kellen Winslow games for example....... didn't yield a title winner.
  19. Good to have baseball back. Yankees only 6th best WS odds at Caesar's but nice walk-off versus Red Sox in opener. First walk-off opener win since 1957. Follow all Yankees teams/games/stats, in close-to-real time, from MLB club to the Dominican Summer League teams at this great gem of a site: https://www.mlb.com/prospects/stats/affiliates?teamId=147&date=04/09/2022 Also get your daily minor league highlights on twitter from Eli Fishman:
  20. "Whatever it takes" is the key. If the OL continues to be a weakness........and the receiving corps doesn't improve wrt to YAC.....then WIT will include running the ball 6-10 times per game.........and 10-15 in important games. He'd be an idiot to keep testing fate and I give him more credit than you guys in that regard..........it's no different than learning when to give up on a dead play and throw the ball away and he's made great strides at that since 2019.
  21. So you were exaggerating for effect when you said "never"? Thank you
  22. Literally, you can look at Diggs then existing contract and say there was no need to act..............not just "technically". You can't keep everyone at their happiest as a GM.........sometimes players are going to want for things. I think Beane did a pretty good job keeping Diggs at bay on an extension for a couple years.........but ultimately the objective should have been to get him to the offseason before his walk year and see where he stood going into his age 30 season. Beane blew all of his gains by having him at 3/4 of the market by re-inking him at the top of the market, IMO. People can disagree but I think this deal ends with 2-3 years left and a lot of dead money.
  23. When did Levi Wallace and Dane Jackson keep the Bills from fielding the top pass defense in the NFL when they were starters? Dane Jackson had a 70 passer rating against.........which believe it or be wrong........was better than Tre White had in both the 2017 and 2020 seasons. Why do we ASSUME Tre White can't come back in 9 months and be good in zone defense when Rod Woodson came back 5 months post op and played in the SB 27 years ago? Why do we assume that the Bills CB depth that has proven to be much more reliable than the Bills OL depth...........isn't going to step up and work fine behind a pass rush that is enhanced by 3 veteran upgrades and reasonable-to-expect improvements from 3 young top draft picks?
  24. That's not what Happless said and what you agreed with..........that the Bills will NEVER get him to stop running the ball 100+ times per regular season regardless of how good the OL or weapons around him are. You guys are being unrealistic and assuming his intellect will never catch up to his impulsiveness, IMO.
  25. Classic use of the under-sell to act like 2-3 is a ridiculously low bar. In reality, 3-4 rushes per game is John Elway and Steve Young "classic scrambler/runner but still a great passer" type rushing frequency. Like I said........Allen had more rushes from the late season Tampa game on(59) than John Elway had in any season but 1..........and that one season where Elway had more he ended up injured. Allen may be a different beast...........but it's not worth the risk. The only comp is Cam Newton and we know how that went after 6-7 years as a top QB. I'm probably different than a lot of folks here in that I'm not a finish line fan...........my intention is not for the Bills to just win one SB and then whatever happens next is fine...........I invest a lot of time going to the games and I want AS MUCH great football from Josh Allen as I can get. So the finish liners can worry about filling holes on paper.............my concern is them doing what's best for the franchise QB..........which in turn will give them the best chance to win a SB.........whether it feels that way to some or not.
