  1. I'll throw my 2 cents in, I'm no NFL OC, but I have been an offensive coordinator/ QB and RB coach for many years on our local team. I agree with what some said that right now the coaches are probably less worried about "the play" of a QB and more about his reads. In the NFL a lot of plays are designed to go to a spot, and if the WR does not make it to that spot it appears that the QB made a bad throw when really it's on the WR for not getting to his spot. Other things come into play such as, if a WR is running an out pattern for example the QB is try to throw the ball to a place on the WR has a chance to make a play on it so it don't get intercepted, sometime the coverage is so tight that they are throwing it out in front of the WR so he can make a high light catch rather than giving the CB any chance of an interception. Ofcourse, pressure from the Defense, pre snap looks (confusion by the D) and the play call all come into effect also. I understand your point that these are NFL QB's that have been playing their whole life and should make throws accurately, but each WR has a different speed and height, it takes time to get used to throwing to each one, and of course it don't help when a WR runs one play full speed and another at 90% speed..
  2. I'm in the same boat as you, I panic and draft Bills players every year.. Yep, I drafted Spiller too, but Igot him in the 3rd round.. Anyway, McCoy is definitly 1st round (top 12 pick) worthy.. It's just a matter of if you take him in a top 3 spot if you have that pick.. I'm going to tell you that I'll take him with the number 1 pick if I get it..! He'll get a ton of carries/catches, he'll get goalline touches too and he's durable... He has the best FB in the game leading the way, a coach dedicated to getting the ball to him, and a defense to get him the ball back, so ya I'll take him with my first pick because then I can watch my fantasy points in action every Sunday..! Then I'll take Sammy Watkins in the 3rd or 4th round..!
  3. Can't wait...!... Thanks for all the links to read, so much for work!....HA
  4. I can't see us keeping 5 RB's plus 1 Full back.. I think because of special teams play, we go with McCoy, Fred, Williams, Dixon and 2 Full backs that are great special team players.. We could even place Williams on practice squad if he would last there..
  5. Like him or not, He's atleast got a pair of testicales.. Which is better than the rest of the politicians who can't even answer a simple question, all they do is side step and never really answer any questions.. Trump atleast isn't affraid to speak his beliefs... he's gaining traction, I'll vote for him..
  6. Fred hopefully will retire a Bill and become a coach with the Bills, he's a legend here but to suggest he's remotely as good as McCoy is crazy.. When was the last time you seen Fred or any recent RB do these highlights..
  7. I never really cared for him, until today, today I like him and I think he's the best analyst out there
  8. HA.! I love that show, I thought I was the only person on earth that watched it.. That and The Riflemen Saturday mornings...
  9. I gave him a "C", I like the guy and it appears to me that he is doing good things, but until we hit the playoffs I can't give him anything better, his effort is there, but the baby has not been delivered. He was here and had a say in drafting EJ He was here and had a say in hiring Marrone He was here and had a say in the clause in Marrones contract that let him out (which is fine now, but what if we didn't want him to leave) He was a part of and had say in giving up way too much for Watkins. And so on, but I hope it all plays out and we win the super bowl, but for now I can't give him more than a "C" for actual results, and an "A" for effort..
  10. Everyone acts as if it's just as "simple as that".. You do realize that an entire team of defensive Corr. get paid millions of dollars to figure out way to stop our offense correct? Bu but but, if they stop our run then we will just throw it, and if they sit back in coverage then we'll just run it down their throats...lmao... First off, lets see if our line can actually create holes to run in, lets see if McCoy is a shade of his self two years ago, lets see if we have a QB that can make multiple reads and fire off an accurate ball, or if the line can block long enough to get to a second read. Lets see if we can stay healthy, lets see if our coaching staff can adjust quicker and more effectively that the opposing coaches, lets see if our red zone offense can drastically improve over last years, or are we hoping to kick 30 field goals a game? ... We can say we just need to do this and just need to do that all day long, But lets see if we can actually do the fundamentals first - create me a hole, keep my QB upright, and make an accurate pass to the offensive player.
  11. Basically for this play I have developed, we're going to go with 11 players on the field. We're going to say "Hut" Hut" and snap the ball to the QB.. The QB will then hand it off to "Shady McCoy"
  12. I can see where the OP is trying to go with this post, he's just not wording it correctly, but I understand his thinking. We lost Sercey, Kiko and Spikes from the defense, Granted Kiko was a non factor last year but he was a factor 2 years ago. We've added no one on the defensive side (we re-signed Hughes but he was here last year also). So I think what the OP is asking is how is the defense going to be that much better. On the offensive side we got better with McCoy but he's not going to come in and be the savior that takes us to the playoffs after 15 years, but he is a large upgrade over Spiller. Cassell and Orton are one in the same, both journeymen. We upgraded the FB position. Incognito should be an upgrade, but he hasn't played in a year and who knows what he's going to turn out to be. So I believe what the OP is saying is how much better have we really gotten? If you ask me - I think the defense needs another LB to fill spikes, Kiko's role. Along wit hthat you add Rex's defense system and yes the defense should be better, but keep in mind our terrible offense's of the past's had success against the Jet's defense. Time will tell.. The offense is where we should improve dramatically, forget about McCoy, just getting rid of hackett made this offense better.. The offense will be much improved, especially if we add Harvin and Clay. Every year we get excited just to get heartbroken, every year we think this is something different and it ends up being the same... I think were all just hoping this is the year, but you can't blame someone for questioning it after 15 years of the same'ol Bills..
  13. I didn't think I could love him anymore and he goes and does this.!
  14. He's 35 years old, played on 6 different teams, went 1-10 in his first years as a full time starter.. What's not to be excited about... He's simply a back up guy that may not even make the team, another QB will be brought in to compete, and I'm guessing it's Sanchez.. Josh, Sanchez and EJ will compete for 2 spots, one will be cut.
  15. When I listen to Rex speak about a QB or about EJ it sounds more and more like he has little faith in EJ and wants to get someone better in here. He don't put EJ down, but he's not confident in him either. So I'm going to say our day 1 starter is not currently on the roster and they will sign someone like Cousins or Sanchez and also trade for a Bradford or Foles and let 3 guys compete in training camp and cut 1 of them. Whaley can not go into a 3rd training camp without 3 QB's hashing it out, I think he learned his lesson the past 2 years, or at least I hope so..
  16. I think we're all hoping EJ can be the answer, but he's not going to magically one day go out there and become the accurate passer we hoped he was/is... He is terribly in-accurate and that's not going to change.. We can hope and pray a new coaching staff can instantly increase his accuracy but if that's what your hoping for then good luck w/ that..
  17. They should bring him in, Him and 2 pro bowl guards and let them all fight it out for the 2 guard spots..
  18. So it's kinda like this: Hey you want to work for $10.00 an hour 1 a week in front of thousands of people? Me: - Sure A year later : Me: - I'm suing you for only paying me $10.00 an hour
  19. Why would we cut Spikes when the plan this year was to have Kiko play outside? Keep our run stuffing linebacker, Kiko is an upgrade over Bradham.. We need to stop cutting good guys and instead combine them with other good guys..We don't have to pay a first rounder this year, so no reason to cut Spikes..I'd love to see both of them on the field together instead of saying "well lets cut one of them because we have too many good ones"Did you see bradham miss tackles all day yesterday or was it just me?
  20. If Hackett is back I'm not watching a single game next year.!
  21. For God's sake bring everyone of them in...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep the best 3...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We need to figure this crap out once and for all..!!!!!!!!!!!! Does anyone really have any faith in this team that they will be able to pick the best player off a list...?????????? Bring every single QB in FA in and keep the best 3..!
  22. I don't care if we're eliminated from playoffs, still have a chance, or what not... If I'm Marrone I start EJ and tell it like it is... "We're starting EJ because Orton makes $5million a year and can't even dive forward for a first down when the season is on the line... EJ at the very least will give this team his heart on his sleeve and play like it"... But ya they both suck, so play the one who sucks but has heart..
  23. Or as many coaches and players have stated the offense is very predictable. If you're putting up 13 points at home and 9 on the road it is poor coaching and poor execution.. This offense sucks under EJ and it sucks under Orton therefore it sucks under hackett and sucks under Marrone... Period!
  24. That's a basic response. I didn't say I wasn't happy they bought them, I'm asking if he will really change things around here and make this a playoff team. Yes he paid a huge amount of money for this team and I'm sure he wants results for the money he has invested, but that don't make him a winning owner.. We will see over the next few years I guess.. It's been going on 15 years since we even smelled the playoffs and there is no excuse for that. Pegula had nothing to do with those 15 years, so lets hope the next 15 years are much better, but time will tell, nothing is guaranteed just because he bought the team instead of Bon Jovi..
  25. Didn't Whaley have a hand in hiring Marone in the first place? Wasn't he there when marone hired Hackett? .I want to keep Whaley too but he gets no free pass. These guys are making a lot of money to do their job, they have to answer for their actions. I hope Schwartz is retained, but if they hire a new coach it's maybe 50/50 they retain any coaches from the defensive side, but it would be smart to keep them in the same scheme under the same coach. If I'm Whaley I fire Doug after the season and hire a new coach / new OC and let the new head coach know that Schwartz is his DC.
