  1. yeah, even Trent Dilfer can win with a great defense
  2. agreed. He really had a great first quarter of 2008 and was 3 for 3 against Arizona before (actually before and during) going down. Hasn't been the same since. Couple big hits this year haven't helped
  3. I see red light cameras on Portland on the way to the public market on Saturday's. Also I heard one of the city councilman talking about it on the radio. Said he was totally against the idea but was told to stand by a red light for a day. After half an hour he changed his mind because of all the red lights he saw being run. Also the tickets are more like parking tickets, the points don't go on your license, you just get fined
  4. Can't think of one since Bennett, then again we haven't done that great recently with the first round picks we've kept.
  5. Jevon Kearse in 99, had 14 sacks, definitely a guy that opponents had to game plan for. Solid but not great since.
  6. pretty much sums it up
  7. is he even allowed in Canada any more?
  8. While I don't agree with Matthews very often, at least he always has something sports related to talk about. No actor draft, doesn't go on for hours about a movie he saw, etc.
  9. agreed on both points
  10. Apologies if this topic has already been posted, tried the search key as well as looking through the topics on the first two pages and couldn't find anything, though I am a bit of a technological invalid. I'm sure someone will post the link if this has already been discussed. Anyways on Rome Ross said his best time in the NFL was in Buffalo (played for 5 teams.) College atmosphere, players were all tight because there wasn't much to do in Buffalo. In the bigger cities the players all went their own way. Was particularily fond of Bledsoe, said he was a great guy, often having teamates over for beers or picking up the tab for team mates and their families when they went out. Said when other QB's were sacked he felt bad that he had not done his job, when Drew got sacked he felt bad for Drew (he must have felt bad a lot). Also said offensive line wasn't that important, his Princeton teams went 3-7 twice and 5-5 twice and 3 of the offensive linemen ended up in the NFL. Again, sorry if this was already disucssed, just got home and was expecting to see something on this...
  11. spent almost 3 minutes trying to spell Roethlisberger...only 22
  12. Let's face it. He wasn't that good as a head coach. We made it to four super bowls in spite of him, not because of him. Out coached in every one of them. There, I said it.
  13. Sure, why not. The more the better. Bring in Russell and Vick. Draft Klausen in the first, Tebow in the second, and Lefevour in the third. Just find someoned we can build a team around instead of the revolving door we've had at the most important position for the past 15 years.
  14. The workers seem much happier at Wegman's and are certainly more helpful and friendly. Also I never get hit up for money outside Wegmans, can't say the same for Tops
  15. Hope you're right
  16. Thanks for the input. We have a gross profit line and a Selling General and Administrative line that is subtracted from it along with a few other things to get either a net profit or net income line.
  17. Need to explain to a few people in our finance department why inventory turns ratio is an important metric. While I'm pretty comfortable with discussing the importance of the turns ratio I would like to be able to say that it is a metric investors look at. However, as I look over income statements and balance sheets of various companies I can only find a line for cost of revenue. Near as I can tell COGS is a subset of cost of revenue - correct? Is there anywhere in a companies financial reporting where COGS is broken down as a separate line item? It is needed to calculate the turns ratio. Any help appreciated Thanks
  18. 7 out of 9...the polish beer that begins with Z was the only one I was sure of...good stuff. Educated guesses on the rest.
  19. after getting the first 9 correct only converted on 4 of the last 11. Got 8 out of 10 on the sports questions though
  20. Glad you liked it (and that my search efforts weren't in vain)...unfortunately doesn't look like the Texans will make the playoffs. If Cincy plays this way next week it'll be another one and done for them.
  21. found the link to the better article...you'll like him to http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/art...61291/index.htm
  22. second oldest non kicker in the game (Favre is the oldest), don't think he's ever made more then the league minimum, primarily special teams but does see 10-15 plays a game, just like him. Tried to find a link to an old SI article on him but came up empty.
  23. One other reason to pull for the Texans...this guy http://www.nfl.com/players/jeffzgonina/profile?id=ZGO444955
  24. Me too...cross Cowher of the Texans list if they win the super bowl!
  25. We'll accept that... Glazer said we have a chance to get him...he likes the roster and is interested in the job. Meanwhile we'll keep interviewing before meeting again with Cowher. Just a quick 30 second piece or so.
