Seahawks-Bears anyone? (Live Game Thread)
The Wiz replied to Sierra Foothills's topic in The Stadium Wall
The last comment got me thinking. "Ain't getting that on netflix!" Remember the time back in the 90's when WWF and WCW were fighting for tv spots/ratings and started doing the most ridiculous things on air? Feel like that pot might be starting to boil. -
Allen still won player of the week though. National media and people that watch the games are different. I feel like most of the media just get the condensed version of the game and say "ok, no turnovers and they made a few good throws", then they check the TD/INT ratio. Then they move on. They get handed the script they need to spew to anyone that will still listen and give one guy the converse of the situation. Their are people like Keyshawn who just hates the bills and will never give Allen credit saying that he doesn't do anything in the playoffs and Lamar is a better qb. Call that what you will but that basically just means he has no credit to what he says to me.

Will the Jets and the Patriots be tanking the last two games?
The Wiz replied to tomur67's topic in The Stadium Wall
He's on a team that had more production under Zack Wilson and managed to get his HC and GM fired. He could go 40/40 with 600 yards and 10 tds and no one would want to touch a 42 yr old with an inferiority complex. Well, maybe Jerry Jones would. -

Rodgers will throw his 500th TD pass of his career to Adams and then walk to the locker room together with the ball. -
Before throwing anything out like that, take it into context. These guys live moment to moment with their praise and hate. It's what drives the media, their content and their cashflow. They are paid to flipflop at any and every chance they get. Hell, the Chiefs are 14-1 and people are talking bad about Mahomes (rightfully so since it's been his worst year in a long time). But now, they have the #1 seed and "oh he's been playing without his #1 WR and #1RB for the full season so maybe we should have a little more respect for what he has done" Just take it all with a grain of salt. It means nothing in the long run. EDIT: And I will say, it's really interesting seeing/hearing all of these guys on their tv shows vs their podcasts. Everyone hates Nick Wright for what he has said about Allen and the Bills over the years but not many listen to his pods is my guess because he usually gives a lot of credit to Allen on them.

Former defensive players have feeling too! 😂
-
Well he's a former Jet so I'm not surprised at the lack of intelligence and critical thinking skills.
-
I know, just making the point is all. Same as Allen said, "these shirts and hats are nice but I want the ones that say super bowl champions"
-
Which is why I posted it because who the hell knows that MVP voters think what "should" means. If you really wanted, you could say Joe Burrow should win MVP because of what he has done. Yes he has Chase, I know. But he's doing what Dak did last year and no one is even looking at them because of their record. I know, "Wins aren't a QB stat" but they are when it comes to MVP voters.

See that's the thing. If Allen has a bad game, he is criticized because they lost. Not because of anyone else's play but his own. Jackson goes 23/36, 237 yards and 2 TDs and they blame the running game because Henry got stuffed all game vs Philly. And when Henry doesn't produce, they have been bad (2-5 when he doesn't get at least 90 yards rushing). I want him to win it, I do. But the playoffs are more important that regular season awards. Lamar would be the one to tell you that better than anyone.
-
Can't tell if that hurts or helps Allens case. Seems like a strange change to the wording. On one hand, you can say that Allen beating the #1 seed in both divisions is more valuable to the season (along with what they thought of the bills before the season started) On the other, you can say that Lamar has had his most valueable "season" to date in terms of stats (mostly because of Henry, but I digress).
-
This tweet seems to sum up Jackson this season. "If you go 10/15 and win by 29... you probably weren't required to do too much" Granted there were games where he was asked to do a lot. I think a handful of those games are the ones he lost.

Ravens/Texans, Christmas Day Game 2 (no Bills talk please)
The Wiz replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
I said likely, the way that the last balt/pitt game went and then how both teams today looked doesn't give me much home that the steelers are the same as they have been. A really good defense that falls apart at the end of the season/playoff time. -

likely impossible to happen. chiefs, bills, raven, Houston is the likely outcome for divisional round. Only team that might be replaced at this point is Houston. -
barring a miracle, it's likely we face Baltimore home in the divisional round. Get the win this week to lock it up and rest guys next week at NE.

I was questioning it as well. Maybe they had him on a snap count because he was coming back from his injury and was finally forced to play more when Spector got hurt. Spector was awful. Would have rather had them playing Buffalo Joe.

12/22/24 GAMEDAY Week 15 Bills vs Patriots* Post GameThread
The Wiz replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I feel like how chiefs fans must feel this year after a win. -
Allen playing with broken hand all along???
The Wiz replied to The 9 Isles's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes he was. He were his designations since week 1. -
Henry has been the reason all season. Does he have a game under 100 yards rushing?

Saturday Football Thread: PIT@BAL & HOU@KC (no Bills stuff please)
The Wiz replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
Part of the problem with that argument is no one cared before that actually votes. Some have started to feel that way that Allen has done more with less, especially now with Diggs and Davis gone. -
First it was the Atlanta Falcons, now the Phoenix Suns
The Wiz replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall
Just making the point that regardless of the cost of the food/non-alcoholic drinks, they are going to upcharge 500% and make that money back hand over fist. Sabres charge $10 for a 16oz labatt blue when a 6 pack is $8. You're right, I probably saved money that day. -

16oz beer = $18 -
That's kind of my point. MVP has always been the QB on the 1 or 2 seed team. Changing their typical formula would just be moving the goalpost from one year to the next to pick a player they want to be MVP vs who deserves it. If it were solely based on stats and importance to the team, Burrow would likely be the front runner because he's doing everything (granted with Chase). But they are currently on the outside looking in for playoffs so his stats don't matter that it's him and Chase having to go for 500yards/200yards and 4-5 TD a game because their defense is awful (same place the Bills/Allen was last year).

I feel like it's going to end up being something stupid with the new point system where Lamar gets enough 1st and 2nd place votes and Allen gets 1st and 3rd votes for him to win.
