wish we just would've kept Hollins. But from everything i've seen, Davis was sat because Palmer came back. Simple as that from what i've seen

i know we've talked about this before, but why didn't we bring Hollins back this year? He was good in our offense, good run blocker & came cheap. I just think he would've been a nice addition to our already weak wr room.

i read this in another thread but it really encapsulates Beane's philosophy. Beane would rather have 4 quarters than a $1

We're picking either 1 or 2 on the list. But how many do you think Beane would choose to bring back? Half? More than half? We've been the top team in the division for years & for years Beane never figured it out. A betting man wouldn't expect Beane to change his habits or tendencies now. Of course we can always hope. Fwiw: i picked Bosa, Shaq & Prater. Gotta give the old guy some love

Another thing that gets me is the whole plan with Bosa was to use him on a rotational basis, to keep him healthy for the post season. But because of our poor Dline play, Bosa had to be used & relied upon more & more. Now Bosa is injured (predictably) & we're calling in guys like Lawson. Beane 100% deserves to be on the hot seat right now & while i hope our team perseveres & makes a deep run, right now that doesnt look too likely, and the fault should lie with Beane. I hope he has to account for this lost year post season. Josh is almost 30. We had many years of being the Top Dog in our Division & Beane was never able to figure it out. That says it all right there doesnt it?

No my issue with the Knox extension was he still had a year left on his rookie deal. Ahead of the 2022 season, Beane gives him a 4 year $52 million extension. To me it just didnt make sense. No team was about to make a move for him & Knox wasn't going to go anywhere. We didnt need to do that at that time & surely didn't need to pay him that much. At least imho. That extension turned out to be pretty bad & Knox restructured of course in 2024 to save us a little money. But while it reduced his cap number, it extended his time with us another year. A year where he'd get paid more with us than on any other team. So its still a win as far as he's concerned. The Knox extension is just 1 of course, there's been a few others that we can look at as weighing this team down a bit. But I agree with you on Bosa & the wr's for the most part. What we really need is some more impact players. You can probably count on 1 hand, the amount of impact players we've gotten out of our drafts. It just hasn't been good enough & its the poor drafting that has really put us in this situation.

Dawson Knox with the $10 million play

Watching Coleman on these routes, its like he forgets he's supposed to catch the ball. He'll just swat at a pass or watch it in the air, never seems to really make an attempt to catch it tho. I do heavily criticize Brady's usage of him tho & the routes but players have to be able to ball too. And Coleman hasnt showed with any consistency that he can.

Guess Beane couldn't make the call while he's sitting on his hands. I'd like to think that we didn't go after Shaheed because someone better is coming our way. But that feels like fools gold at this point. sigh I know we have Josh Allen & all, but i wish we had a little bit more of a sense of urgency to actually make a real run at a title. I swear to the Gods that if we waste the career of this guy, it'll be a stain on this entire organization, that'll linger for the rest of our lives. I know if i were GM, i wouldn't rest comfortably knowing we have Josh. I'd do whatever i could to surround him with a playmaker or 2. Now Hoecht is gone. Are there any old Carolina players out there that we havent tried yet?
