  1. Wendling is a big zero. I remember that video of him jumping - so what? When you have him, Wilson and Simpson in the safety positions who know things are rough!
  2. when I hear the names McCargo, Wilson, Ellis & Wendling playing late into the game - - and - they can't make plays - - that's scary! Aren't these our back-ups?
  3. this is a very good thread - - - great observations. Frankly, I don't know what this staff and management are thinking so I can't answer. When you are asking about Wendling, Simpson & Wilson it's laughable. And, I'm not laughing at YOU!
  4. sort of like McCargo who had surgery twice on his foot/ankle and never has done a darn thing.
  5. agreed - just like Wil James, Tutan Reyes, Matt Bowen, Jason Webster etc. Why not save that money to go after a top tier free agent who doesn't have a history of failing like these guys? It's dumb.
  6. did anyone ever say ralph is a dummy! he won't change anything until ticket sales drop off - - why should he?
  7. i do disagree with the statement about the Bills talent level - I think compared to play-off teams we are pretty weak. BUT - I've followed the team for all 50 years and of course I'm coming with you!
  8. The ratings are so low for Versus that sponsors are falling like dead flies. They have requested 'premium' money from Direct TV which is crazy. I love hockey, you love hockey - - but - -the nation doesn't watch hockey on TV.
  9. when you have an entirely re-structured OL and the same mediocre players on the D-L and a QB who hasn't proved a thing in the NFL - - - let's hope it's more fire than smoke.
  10. he was the 5th or 6th TE on the PATS depth chart. According to the paper today DJ said they "kinda liked him" coming out of college. With Fine injured they probably need him for Thursday's game.
  11. ralph doesn't make any changes unless things hit rock bottom. 7-9 with 'potential' and seats selling in enough for him right now. And, he's scared after the Tom D experiment where he felt left out of the day to day decisions.
  12. Pat Thomas was a stiff from day one. The Bills were his 3rd NFL team in 3 years. Why do we waste time and money on players like this?
  13. I just can't imagine that happening. It's almost like the Bills scheduled this game for the final pre-season game at home so things would look good! If it does I can't imagine DJ not being on a tight, tight rope by who ever is in charge these days!
  14. You're probably right - or very close. And, that makes me sad. Too many names that have failed in the past are still on the team. Honestly, we have a very weak overall roster compared to teams that make the play-offs.
  15. My Dad and I always had to watch the Cleveland Browns games on Sunday's - - that's all there was on TV. Then, the Bills came to town - my town in East Aurora - and we went to see them practice at the Knox Polo fields. When I saw great big guys sweating, knocking people around and fighting in practice I was hooked. It was a rough, tough mans game and these guys were actually getting paid to play football. I've been hooked ever since - - it's an addiction and I love it!
  16. I would bet there were very few regular season games last year where the 'first team offense' was together. Peters hold-out, Peters injury at the end of the year, Lynch injured, Trent injured, Preston for Fowler etc. Some teams can make it through that stuff - - maybe a lot do - - but - the Bills really have a weak overall starting roster and getting to the 2nd string is a disaster!
  17. I tried to deal with WGR last year regarding some promotional items they wanted to "purchase". It turned out by "purchase" they really meant trading. If the got 10,000 license plate holders with WGR 55 Sports imprinted on them they'd give my company X amount of free commercials. The station really has no legitimate sponsors during the 3-7 PM period. Everything is a trade - back doctors, physical fitness equipment etc. The 'personalities' can make extra money by setting up live, remote broadcasts. We're talking $200 bucks or so at best. It's a very cheap operation. If they didn't have the Sabre games they might just revert to a music or political talk station!
  18. I agree. We had it made not knowing the Empire Sports network would crash and burn with Adelphia. We also had another radio station that did all sports to compete with WGR. It was actually during an Adelphia press conference that was carried on radio locally in which the whole question of unsecured loans became public. That started the fall. Thanks for sharing this!
  19. I think Ko must go. He just hasn't proved to be a quality NFL safety even with his experience.
  20. Jim Kelly was of course a former employee. I often wonder why he seems to feel he has an inside track in regards to buying the Bills and keeping them in Buffalo. Maybe Ralph made him a promise?
  21. and - when you see your 'wall' that's going to protect you being pushed backward and big holes developing - - it's only common sense to get out of dodge!
  22. Does anyone know how many seats are left for the final 2 home games in Dec & January. I know several ticket sellers and travel agents in the NE area are already advertising seats and trips to the Ralph in Dec!
  23. Well - when you think about it he is the TOPIC! They're not going to fire all the players or Modrak or Brandon - - so - - - DJ seems to be a good organizer but with less than NFL quality players all over the roster and a weak coaching staff - - that's not enough. GO BILLS!
  24. I think it has to be torn apart from the top down right through the roster. I'm sick of re-building when the foundation of the organization is in bad shape.
