  1. Ralph just doesn't believe in paying big bucks to coaches. The HC is always paid less than the league average and the budget for assistants is even worse. He remembers the Levy days - great players won games and not the coach!
  2. well - the Lions were playing Wil James and Eric King as DB's - - - we cut them - - it tells us the company we keep!
  3. agreed - maybe the Lions could have got him on waivers anyway?
  4. oh so true - - this should be interesting!
  5. excellent - haven't we all looking for something better since 1999!
  6. I would bet Ralph had something to do with it also - - DJ was scared - -the way they were running a 'no huddle' was dumb! It doesn't speak well for DJ's ability to hire qualified assistants!
  7. that's what I see also. With a rather weak and inexperienced OL what else can they do?
  8. Yes - - Ralph asked him to fire about 4 of his coordinators before the new season. After thinking about that - bringing these coaches and their families here for such a short period of time - - and that he no longer had Drew - - he made the right decision - -bye!
  9. I guess you're right - - TIME did tell - - and itwasn't nice to the TURK!
  10. I have to agree. Knox couldn't get the RAMS to the SB - Seattle either. He can get the most out of his players but after that the tank is empty. Maybe we need that now - -
  11. very funny. Actually he might be a bit worried that the Bills may now score a TD or two.
  12. desperate teams that realize way too late that things aren't right!
  13. I would bet Ralph made this call personally - to fire Turk. He was embarrassed by the Lions game - - he's from Detroit. Why else would they do it now - right before the season starts?
  14. I think Ralph was embarrassed about the Lions game - - that IS an important game to him - preseason or not. I would bet he called DJ and said to fire Turk - - and - if you don't - you're fired. He did that with Kay Stephenson, Wade Phillips and most recently Mike M. No sense to it - just his way!
  15. evaluating talent is a lot different then being a back-up QB working behind another back-up QB trying to establish an offense with and very inexperienced line. I don't see that at all - not enough talent in the trenches.
  16. I agree - -poor Trent's career is fading fast in whatever offense we're trying to run. Open it up.
  17. I think the assistant coaches have most of the input regarding positional cuts. They work with these guys every day. I don't think there is enough overall talent on the roster to make much difference as to who stays.
  18. wow - he came on board with the Bills in 1995. I can't imagine anyone is left. How many coaches have come and gone since then?
  19. After all the OTA's training camp and preseason nonsense - - why not? Nogthing has worked and Trent is regressing week by week. I would bet Trent trusts AVP.
  20. I have a sick feeling no one is really in charge anymore - -too many layers of 'power' spread all over and getting a decision from Ralph is very difficult these days.
  21. Anybody with a brain has to be worried after the lack of scoring - - even some lucky long bomb catches would have shown something - - -this is a scary season ahead. GO BILLS!
  22. I have 'hope' every season. If you're a true fan you always do! Let's HOPE!
  23. DJ won't push him ahead of Reed - - why - - because of seniority and that's a DJ deal!
