What's the hottest thing you have ever tasted/eaten
section122 replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I love Frank's Red Hot Sauce. Absolutely love it and buy it by the gallon (literally). That said people always try to buy me these ridiculously hot things such as Dave's Insanity Sauce. They don't even taste good and I really don't understand their purpose other than as a gag hey try this. Hottest thing I've ever tried (and yes I've had a ghost pepper) some pepper my father in law grew and then jarred. Thinking about it right now is upsetting. There was nothing I could do to get rid of the heat either. I tried milk, bread, even brushing my teeth. It sucked badly while he laughed loudly. -
Is Anthony Barr Really That Good?
section122 replied to Rob's House's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oh man did I want him to somehow fall to us! Freaking Andrew Luck staying in school! That said I was in the Dareus over Miller camp as I thought he was more of what we needed. I did actually opine about how great I though JJ Watt was and that he would have been a great target in a trade down. Looking at that draft in hidsight it has to rival some of the best in NFL history. Of the top 18 picks I think it could be said that 14 of them are good to great players in this league. The only exceptions being Locker, Gabbert, Ponder, and Tyron Smith. The top 7 picks from that draft just 3 years ago have all already made the Pro Bowl! -
Dear lord, Thank you for listening to me and convincing BBF to close the most recent hey look at how many times I can post thread. It is with great joy that when I come to off the wall I will no longer continue to see "Last post wins" or it's ugly sister "World's longest run on sentence" near the top of the most commented threads. I am so glad that you agree with artificial pumping of post counts is almost identical to steroids in baseball. How will I know who the smartest man in the room is if I can't simply see 10k plus posts and know that their member is so huge I must listen to them! These numbers are sacred I tell you! Me with my measly 2000+ posts have not yet come to the enlightenment allowing me to grasp how awe inspiring and important these threads are. Now there will be more room for gobillsindallas to irritate me by posting links only with nothing else to go on, or the daily would ya thread (I swear I will work on being more picky and stop thinking yeah I probably would), or even the occasional give me advice/I don't want no stinking advice threads. Thank you tiny 8 lb 6 ounce baby jesus for this and all your blessings! Sincerely, Section122 (all in good fun, you know I love you guys)

EJ knee surgery, Tim Graham questions, draft QB?

um no. Open heart surgery, torn acl repair, and quick scope to clean out some scar tissue are not the same surgery no matter how you try to stitch your puns into this. -
Update: Keeping An Eye On Toronto's Ambitions
section122 replied to ICanSleepWhenI'mDead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Again though this is your conjecture of what maybe was said to the Bills. Several of the Canadian Bills fans on this board hate the series. I will agree that the price/product do not help sell the privilege at all. That said it doesn't hurt the team in Buffalo as they sell many more tickets in Buffalo with this same sub par product for 14 years running. I think we both agree that having Toronto support the Bills is a great idea. I think our disagreement comes from whether or not a game needs to be played there to achieve it. -

Some did and some didn't. Sweeping generalizations about the board can't really be made. Look at Johnny Football. Some will be right about him whether he busts or becomes a superstar. There were many arguing here that Miller would turn out great. Just like in this very thread there is someone saying that Barr is better than others of us suspect. -

Mike Evans I believe you mean and how do you know? The name comparison is the easy way for people to say that they think the player will be a bust. There are several examples every year of busted picks in the first round. These players happen to fit the size/speed comparisons of maybe and hardy and are referred to as hose type of players. -
I believe it is the teams nickname for him although since I get it here I honestly have no idea where I heard it definitely fits his personality though. edit: after some googling it appears it was his nickname even on the Duke team.

Update: Keeping An Eye On Toronto's Ambitions
section122 replied to ICanSleepWhenI'mDead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I dooubt either of them will get a team. LA has many hurdles and I honestly think that their not being a team in the NFL is more beneficial to the league than having one there. The threat constantly looms over fans heads and can be used to leverage ridiculous stadium deals. When a team moves there the threat is gone. -

There will be many more Maybin's and Hardy's. Many athletes that teams fall in love with because of their height or speed or colossal numbers against poor competition. Player's in the draft are always compared to previous players by many people including analysts and scouts. That doesn't mean the comparison has to be a glowing one. -
Update: Keeping An Eye On Toronto's Ambitions
section122 replied to ICanSleepWhenI'mDead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know that you feel this way but what about the Toronto games makes them more viable? Why does any investor need Toronto to be successful so far as to put a game there. I won't argue having brand identity in Toronto doesn't help but I will argue that putting a game there that is the way to accomplish that. The games don't sell out, the players don't like it, and there has been no hard data presented that it has been any part of the uptick in Ontario season ticket holders that Brandon claims to be the case. I am always open and willing to mold and shape my opinions so why does it have to be the sale of a game to make this thing work? Why can't it be any of the things I laid out in my previous post to increase brand awareness/identity? -
A ton of transplants in NC from NYS. I had a couple of friends at the game last night. As for Cooney he is a shooter and in a slump. The only way to get out of that slump is to keep shooting. He was stellar in the BC game but other than that hasn't done much. As long as they keep winning he has time to figure it out. Hopefully on Saturday. "Silent G" does indeed need to get more aggressive and hopefully facing his former team will do that for him. He seems like he is good but doesn't trust himself to be. I was really concerned about last night. I was scared that the team would look past Wake and then I became concerned that the refs were going to give it to Wake. I love that this team knows how to finish! 4 minutes to go as long as it is close I have complete faith that they will turn it into a 10 point win as they have done so many times. Has there been any news on Ennis' ankle?

I'm going to stick with my theory laid out in the other thread. This series won't end just yet. They will make it an earlier season game so the weather advantage is not given away. As for the Bills needing this series I also stand by my assertion that it is complete hogwash. They don't need to sell off a game to remain economically viable. Sure there could be a push to bring more attention or fans from the Toronto markets but that doesn't mean selling off a game. Their could be bus trips, more advertising, discounted tickets, appearances by players, etc... Selling off a game is a cash grab. It can be sold as a "help to regionalize the team" and some people buy it. As it stands under their current owner the team is in absolutely no financial trouble. I have yet to see a convincing study that says this series has been a success other than lining the teams pockets. Sure Brandon said there has been an uptick in Ontario season tickets but what proof does he have that the series is the cause and not just the increased popularity of the NFL in general. I won't get into "they would have won if it was in Buffalo" but I will say that the fans routinely cheered louder for Atlanta than Buffalo. That does not convince me that the BiT is a success. -
5 Value Picks in Each Round - DraftTek
section122 replied to Astrobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Boy if those 6 picks players are available at our spot in round 1 I would be praying for a trade down. A scenario that would net us anyone of those guys followed by Benjamin and ASJ in the second would be fantastic! -

I swear to at the 1:20 mark of this video I thought to myself holy Maybin 2.0! KD in CT hit the nail on the head. The start of that video was entirely comprised of long swooping around the tackle moves. Most of them he didn't even hit the qb or was later than the ball leaving. The 2 sacks he did have were a fumble the qb picked up and a looping come from behind why does the qb still have the ball sack. Not a fan. This was as bad as the Mike Evans highlight tape where he dropped a few passes at the start of it. I now have 2 prospects talked about at the top half of the first round that I want the Bills to take no part in. -
He has proven to be the worst thing an nfl player let alone offensive lineman can be, mentally weak.

Bills to meet with Rogers Communications
section122 replied to San Jose Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm thinking that they will move the game to earlier in the season. If that is done the loss of "weather advantage" will be much less. It seems that they will give the bills their late season home games to remove the complaint of losing the cold/wind/not a freaking some against a dome team. I would prefer they scrap it altogether but doubt we will be so lucky. -
I too have that memory... and here is the link to support it

I agree. Also other than Weaver I won't miss any of those names. I was hoping the Bills could keep Henderson and Weaver after all was said and done. Guess I'll have to settle for 1 out of 2. I like Marrone's comment of wanting guys who want to be here. I wonder if it was a small shot at Pettine though as he used the team as a stepping stone. Maybe maybe not. Wanting guys who want to be here fits with his wanting to smell football on their breath comments. -
[SB Spoiler?] EA Madden prediction is out
section122 replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The hate is strong with this one. I don't want this at all. I'm not sure why anyone would take joy in others paying thousands of dollars to have to sit in freezing rain. Or what King Roger looking like a fool would accomplish at all. I'm sure it will be cold but hope that the weather isn't THE determining factor to the game. Add something to it, sure, last game of the year before I don't get to watch for 7 months, no.
