What I am saying is this is the first time since then they have been in the discussion this late in the year. That is how bad it has been around here and for this team. Marrone took over a team with the longest drought in the nfl. It should come as no surprise to anyone that this is a process without immediate results.

Say the lose this week and are eliminated at 7-7. You see no difference from being eliminated at 5-9 like they were last year?

More relevant than they have been since the Steelers game. So more relevant than they have been in 9 years. Yes they are the 11th seed but after this weekend could move up to the 6th seed. This is a very strange season where there are only 4 teams with a losing record in the AFC. Just last year the Bills would be all alone in 6th place by a game with the same 7-6 record.

I feel like people forget what the last 15 years have been like. Usually November is when we are talking about all of the scenarios that need to break right for the Bills and then December is when the discussion turns to whether or not tanking for a draft pick is the way to go. Here it is December 12th. The Bills are about to host the best team in the NFL and pundits are actually picking the Bills to win. Not only that but the Bills are still in the playoff discussion. These are the Buffalo freaking Bills! The laughingstock of the NFL for 15 years! They aren't anymore but somehow Marrone gets no credit. I can't for the life of me understand that.

I know duke had probably the worst penalty I've ever seen against the cheats but I thought he played well last week.

So no you don't see how dumb it is. The Bills are relevant in December for the first time in a decade but this coach gets no credit for it

Doug Marrone sucks because he has led the Bills to their best record in 10 years. Do you see how dumb that is?

Recently is all that matters though. It has been 6 years since they were in the super bowl. 20 years for the Bills. They had winning seasons 4 of the 6 years before Arians arrived. The Bills have had none in the 8 years before Marrone. How can you not see the difference in circumstances?!

A bottom tier franchise with a super bowl trip 6 years ago. Let's not pretend they are the same situation.

Do yo u want to look up where Arians offense ranks? Arians is a great coach. He has had a 3 year run of great success. 1 with indy and 2 with Arizona. What does that have to do with Marrone?

I won't say that he WILL be good but I will say that he COULD be good. I think the opposite actually. If Orton plays well over these last 3 games he will try to hold a team hostage for a raise. He showed with the Cowboys situation that he wants to start and/or get paid. I think if the wheels fall off and the 5 million looks like the most he will get he will take that deal. If he feels he can get more from someone else he will try. :thumbsup: I have been saying this on here for the last couple of days. It is nice to have some support . Best Bills team in a long time. Half of the stadium emptied out at half time. IIRC Randy Moss went crazy in the first half. My friends and I used the opportunity to sit everywhere in the stadium. At one point we were sitting 3rd row 50 yard line Bills side. Just checking out the different views from the seats. That is about the only positive from that game...

I put up a poll before the EJ draft to have people pick who they thought would be the best qb out of the bunch because it was fairly obvious that one would be selected by the Bills. http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/157670-who-will-be-the-best-qb-out-of-this-class/ 4 people out of 107 said none and I think you will find it interesting who picked whom. This thread got locked before the draft as well so there was no homerism EJ got picked votes. I think community colleges are the way to go. 4 year institutions are upwards of 50k a year to attend. Community College is about 5-7k. No reason not to knock out 2 years at a steep discount. Very few jobs does it matter what the name on your diploma is as long as it isn't a diploma factory.

He is more of a runner than a thrower and viewed as a product of the system are some of the common criticisms. I agree he is the best since Luck but strongly disagree that he will be a better pro than Luck. In year 3 Luck has moved into the conversation for top 5 (active) qbs this year.

So funny to see a topic on this today. Looking for a movie on netflix last night my wife wanted a "stupid funny movie" when scrolling through and past naked gun I said that fits what she is looking for. Cue the opening credits and she say OJ Simpson? The guy that killed his wife?! Wasn't he a football player or something? Wait didn't he play for the Bills?!

I give Schwartz all the credit in the world for this defense. I really do. To me though the unsung hero is Brandon Spikes. He brought a certain attitude and ferociousness that is evident on the defense.

I too like he direction this offense is moving. It seems that there is more creativity lately. Certainly there have been more screen plays. The rest of your response is why I won't get up in arms or even let the Sully article move the meter for me. Just because it wasn't in the game plan to have these designed shots doesn't make it a bad strategy. Also just because they aren't designed doesn't mean they can't happen organically. This could all certainly be tied to my opinion of Sully though. He is going to attempt to spin everything negatively. Maybe Woods/Watkins really were upset but I would be more accepting if it came from JW if that makes sense.
