How about covering up and holding the ball with 2 hands?!?!
-
Even IF I gave you that.... Then there would be absolutely no excuse for him fumbling there. If he is looking to see if he could pass then he needed to get rid of it quickly or put 2 hands on the ball to secure against the sack. It isn't the first time I've seen him prepare for a sack that didn't happen. It looked a lot more like he expected to get hit and turned around to brace for it. There is absolutely no way you predicted the Bills to win 10 or 11 games at the beginning of the season.
-
I don't agree with your assessment of Whaley but yesterday on the Orton fumble he got away from the sack, then turned around to look for the guy again, then didn't secure the ball and fumbled. Right then and there I thought he just doesn't care one bit.

I still don't get it. I just don't get how Orton gets credit in this thread but in another you are saying how Marrone is lucky to have a job. So effectively you are saying that a journeyman qb is more responsible for the 9-7 season than the hc. That is what I don't understand. I don't hate Orton. I think it is and has been clear that he will not get you a sb or likely even a playoff win. He is very mediocre and looked to have quit from at least as far back as Denver. His heart hasn't been in it for a while. I don't at all feel the same about Marrone.
-
I don't get you. You bash Marrone but back Orton?
-
Believe it or not Marrone is well thought of. He took the FREAKING Buffalo Bills to 9-7 the best record in a decade. Bills fans are coming off as real idiots insulting him and pushing for his firing. The Bills get to within one game of the playoofs for the first time in a decade and people want to fire him?

The Bills top 2 picks are 50 and 81

So now that we know what the trade ended up being here is how it worked out: 9,19, and 115 1350, 875, and 64 points respectively total 2289 points on the value chart receiving #4 1800 points on the value chart difference of 489 points or about the 41st overall pick. So Watkins basically cost the Bills a second round pick of extra points according to the value chart. Not too shabby! -
The ones where he led to the team to 17 points all day? The one where he threw a pick 6 and Sammy made an amazing catch on a ball behind him at midfield and Carpenter kicked a 58(!) yarder to win? Yeah I saw those and will say that the Defense won those games allowing 16 and 14 points. He played well against Minnesota but anytime a team wins scoring less that 21 points it is because of the defense imo.

The Raiders got him because they traded way more than anyone else would have been willing to give up. Who is better? Carson Palmer (64.8 qbr) or Kyle Orton (40.3 qbr)? He was far from terrible in Oakland passing for over 4000 yards in the season he played all of the games. In 25 games he threw 45 tds to 30 ints. I'm not arguing that he is a top 10 qb I am arguing that Arians did much better when he had a much better qb starting. Now that he has garbage the offense has turned to garbage. Much like the situation in Buffalo. When you don't have a qb you don't have an offense.

Yeah this loss stings as up to this point the Bills didn't have a wtf loss yet this year and that was my biggest defense of Marrone. The Raiders have been playing well lately and are 3-0 in their last 3 home games. That said the Bills needed that win especially with things breaking right in the early games. I unnaturally despise Orton. I'm not sure if it because I wanted to see what EJ could do, or if it is because I think he sucks, or if it is because he looks like he couldn't care less, or if it is because I care waaaayyyy too much lol. Either way I hope he gets greedy this offseason and tries to sucker another team into bringing him in. However good anyone thinks he is I don't see a way that anyone could justify him as the starting qb next year. I don't see how anyone could watch him the last few weeks and think this guy can get us to the promised land.
-
You are correct!!! I noticed when checking fantasy for late season pickups that Hogan and Stevie are having almost identical years statistically. I wonder if the Taco bet has been paid yet? I believe it us to 2 tacos now!

I too would take Arians and Ej but that is because I have the utmost repsect for Arians as a coach and think he is one of the best in the game right now. Marrone isn't on his level but taking Arians over him is like saying I would take Belichick over him. I like Marrone and I like the job he has done here. I am completely over Orton though and that is why I agree with your statement. I never want to have to watch him play qb again unless it is against the Buffalo Bills. He isn't the worst qb in the league but he is a qb that you can't win with. The next time he straps this team on his back and carries them to victory will be his first. As for the stats I laid out, I just wanted to point out that this is a very qb driven league. When the Cardinals had one they won and scored points. Now that they don't have one they aren't and can't. I always root for the Bills almost to a fault and my post was actually defending them so I'm not so sure what the rest of your post meant lol.

Player x: 40 catches, 423 yards, 4 tds, long catch of 31. Stevie: 35 catches, 435 yards, 3 tds, long catch of 32. Want to guess who player x is?

My hindsight sense want to ask you if enjoyed watching that coaching staff get 6 points yesterday? Arizona is 8-1 this year with Carson Palmer and 3-3 without. They are averaging a robust 11.66 points without Carson Palmer and were averaging 24.77 with him. They have yet to break 20 points in any of the 6 games without him and didn't break 20 points in 1 of 9 games with him. Can we now put to rest the "look what Arians is doing with scrubs at qb argument?"

Tony Sparano: 7-2 against the Bills
section122 replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Murray is far from a no name running back. Not to mix fantasy football with real life but reports have been coming in all year about how he was ready to breakout. He had 2 tds against the Chiefs that were the first 2 given up all year in week 11. That said he has been a poor hc. If you want him as oc be ready for the wildcat to come back. Pass. -
Not only did he start studying he said that he grew up when he got traded. Add that to being a west coast kid and Seattle was a very good landing spot for him to do well.

They just measured the spot in the new England game and they were short. They were given the first down even after rex challenged it lol
