The problem is that guys in a contract year don't always resemble themselves after the contract. Offensive line is also...probably more than any position, reliant on gelling with the other guys on the line.

How does a competent QB relate to Cutler? So his point stands. Both RG3 and Cousins aren't looking too good. Titans have 1 QB. They drafted him because they had no QB (Locker). They don't have a backup in Mettenberger doesn't work out.

The Bills also made them look pretty bad too earlier this year. They just got made to look utterly foolish by the Pats. Philbin has players screaming at him on the sidelines...there's better options.

Schwartz had a long history as successful DC. I don't recall a lot of people worried about him improving the defense against the run. They were concerned the pass rush would disappear. Different problems. The problems that Philbin has in Miami and the *same* ones that Buffalo has...

I think the next round of rules will start to favor QBs and offensive lineman. Pass rushers will have to count to five mississippis before they can cross the line of scrimmage. Seriously, I think we'll be seeing rules related to defensive linemen and what they can do pre-snap crop in the next few years. We may also start to see limits on what they can do with their hands like there are on offensive linemen.

Have you seen him play the last couple weeks? Outside of the average game he had and got a lot of press for when he replaced Foles...he hasn't been that good...behind a good offensive line.
