I love the offseason FA, not sure who some of the players he is drafting are, esp. the kid from Tulsa in Rd. 1 and the RB. Not sure we need to draft a RB since we get 2 in FA and have 2, but I know nothing about that RB. I like the Rd. 2 and 3 picks.

Tim Graham: Bills stadium deal could be announced this week.
RyanC883 replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall
oh, I am. I'm just not excited about a new stadium unless it's a dome. I'm not sure the big need. I'm sure it will be 1000X nicer even outside, but I'm not sure I'd want to buy season tickets and risk losing games I can't attend if the wind chill is -10 (can't take the kids to that). -
Buffalo Bills are reportedly interested in DE Chandler Jones
RyanC883 replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall
landing C. Jones, and getting a guy like Davis in the draft (while seemingly unlikely to fall to 25) would vastly improve the front 7. Someone on GMFB remarked about the Bills that "we wouldn't be talking about those 13 seconds if the Bills had a guy like Jones on D." -
depends who is there at 25. Olave (sp) from OSU okay. But if not a day 1 guy then I’d go OL, which likely has top talent at 25 and a speedy guy in Rd. 2 or 3. Looks like a deep WR class.

unless it’s a dome, yawn. -
we don't have anyone even in the same realm of Steve Tasker on this team. I'm not sure any NFL team does. The dude is a HOF player once the HOF realizes special teams exist beyond K and P.

Khalil Mack traded to Chargers for 2nd and 6th round picks

something a lot of people said about the Rams trading a bunch last year, esp. with Von Miller and OBJ. -

Bean has made it very clear by now that he thinks JA and a bunch of role players can win a Championship. It can't. The Rams proved this, the Bucs the year before who with Brady still went out and added key high-production players. Bean is awful. Thanks for getting us here, time for a GM who knows how to construct teams that can actually not blow games on D.- 354 replies

the “if” is implied by the sentence structure. no need for the snark.
-
nope, my point is a prove-it deal. You totally misread what I said. I said a prov-it, and if he performs we get the benefit of a great player, while he raises his value. Win-win. Should be a no-brainer for both parties. that would be great, but that's like Singletary becoming Thurman Thomas.
-
Karlos Williams had a great season for us.
-
a 2 year prove-it deal seems fair to both sides. He was just cut by a bad team, he comes here and performs well and we get a great player, he increases his value when our young guys are hopefully ready to take over (hopefully before 2 years for Groot and Basham).

that’s a crazy stat! who were the one or two?
-
why did you let him become a Seahawks fan!!!! I’d be okay keeping Edmunds with Wagner. Perhaps Wagner helps Edmunds. But at Edmunds cost it may be prohibitive, so I’d trade Edmunds and draft LB, which we have to be looking at with Klien gone.

Chandler Jones, Jordan Davis, DK Metcalfe, maybe Gronk

I think only the Metcalf part of this post is off. The rest is quite possible. -
wonder who the mystery vet is that is rumored to have approached the Bills?
-
seeing Edmunds in any situation is tough. agree. We need a FA or more likely a low cost rookie LB. That said, LB talent seems to be falling in some boards to late 1 or even 2. Perhaps Bean has his eye on one of these guys.
-
Von wants to win another he wins with JA. as long as Denver kept its current core of players, this is a great move. They are too far back to draft an impact QB, and have a very talented roster outside of QB

Spotrac spitballs C. Kirk & C. Williams to Bills
RyanC883 replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall
I totally agree with this. It is about the money, but at some point it's not. I think everyone on the board can relate to that. Say you have a job you like, you are well paid, and have great colleagues. Would you necessarily leave for more money but perhaps a more toxic environment. We have an A+ environment here. Enjoying your playing career/job also has a price to it. I'm not saying you shouldn't turn down more money, or make as much as you can, but that there is sometimes (but not always) a price to doing so in terms of satisfaction. Long story short: it's not necessary we are the highest bidder to get Kirk. We need to be competitive and offer the intangibles. -

RyanC883 replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall
getting Kirk really frees up the Bills to draft an OL, or go after another WR or DE in free agency. I know nothing about Connor Williams, but if he has the struggles other posters here state, I'd rather draft a guy at 25. -
I live in PGH. The fans are fair-weather. If they had a 17 year drought like the Bills did, the stadium would have been empty every week. I get boycotting the Pirates, their owner does not care about winning. But the empty seats last year was pathetic.

How much $ is Trubusky going to sign for in FA?
RyanC883 replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall
true. PIT would need to bolster its OL anyway for Harris and whoever the QB is, and this frees it up to use its top pick on one. That's his best fit, IMO, unless something crazy happens in AZ or Rodgers is traded. -
just shows how terrible Bean has been at constructing an effective front 7.

Plus, we need a 1T with Harry. Star is done. you still must be able to stop the run. We don’t have anyone reliable there. See Colts game

Cole Beasley given permission to seek trade
RyanC883 replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall
will Green Bay have the cap space? If so I’d agree they could use a wr like him.
