  1. Because he's a pain in the neck...
  2. Imagine him in a defensive backfield with Rachad Wildgoose...
  3. 'On The Clock' simulator (no trades allowed):
  4. Good move, IMO. Their goal should be trying for a Wild Card while retooling and they weren't doing it without another bat. He's a professional hitter and had an .893 OPS last season (8th best). One year deal with some of the money deferred was a no brainer and he offers protection for Alonso and lengthens their lineup. It will take him a couple of weeks to be ready but he should be hitting cleanup with Alonso in the three hole. The starting offense doesn't look too bad on paper. It's going to be all about the pitching. Senga is due to start throwing again in a week or so so that is potential good news, too. LGM!
  5. Younger than Tremaine Edmunds! (by three months)
  6. Your Dink is showing...
  7. Don't be a Peter, K-9...
  8. Got that bag. Good luck in Carolina, Dane.
  9. Thank. The. Lord. Thanks for the memories and good luck in Duval.
  10. Maybe. But how many guys have left teams for perceived "greener pastures" only to end up miserable and full of regret? He may think that the Bills are his best fit. We may never know. Hopefully, the decision ends up mutually beneficial for both parties.
  11. With VM, maybe there are still some unresolved issues behind the scenes with his domestic violence situation that the team knows and we don't which don't leave him and his agent in the best negotiating position? Could be any number of reasons.
  12. Does it rhyme with Katt Silano? 🤔
  13. Thanks for the condescension.
  14. Nobody is stopping you from talking about Diggs. I made a comment upthread about the defense being a bigger liability than Diggs in the playoffs but you didn't want to hear it and keep engaging and throwing out words like inane and sad. You're entitled to your opinion about Diggs and you can do it without attacking a differing opinion. I did talk about Diggs in a Diggs thread. I said he wasn't the biggest reason for the team's failures in the playoffs. Move on.
  15. I know what the thread is about. You obviously have an axe to grind with Diggs so have at it. I'm not defending him, simply pointing out that McDermott's limp d*cked D is more responsible for their playoff failures than Diggs' lack of big games.
  16. Are you arguing that the defense doesn’t disappear in the playoffs? Or just trying to be inane for no reason?
  17. Yeah and McDermott's D keeps surrendering leads late in those games.
  18. I am not disputing that "it is what it is". We agree on that.
  19. That would be the defensive-minded Head Coach's precious defense.
  20. Regardless, my point was that, like the salary cap, coaches should not be included in the comp pick formula. It should strictly be for players lost and their salaries which directly affect the cap.
  21. Coaches salaries are not factored into the salary cap, and rightfully so, so it's asinine to have the hiring of coaches...minority or otherwise...factored into the compensatory pick formula, IMO. If they want to award draft picks for hiring minority coaches, that's fine, but those picks should all be given after the 'Mr. Irrelevant' selection is made. Goodell and his cronies never fail to disappoint.
  22. Generally speaking, I don't think most people care about the difference between a Millennial, a Gen X, a Gen Z, or anything in between or after. 'Boomer' seems to have become a generic catchall for anyone perceived as older and set in their ways and 'Millennial' seems to have become a generic catchall for anyone perceived to be younger and clueless. As a near 40-year old, you're probably perceived as a Boomer to anyone in their 20s or younger and perceived as a Millennial to anyone in their 60s or older. We've all been lumped into either Boomer or Millennial.
  23. Just re-signed with Tampa Bay. Two years, $52 million. $35M guaranteed.
  24. Yeah, that's a definitive "no". Next inane question, please.
  25. Wow, I hadn't heard about his passing until I saw this thread. Condolences to his family. RIP, Mort. Another long-timer gone.
