  1. reminds me of when the 1985 Chicago Bears went Hollywood after their dominating Super Bowl victory and season. everyone from the coach to the kicker had commercials, radio programs and restaurants. big egos, never ending distractions and bigger fingers a pointing when things went south.
  2. Lots of assumptions masquerading as facts typical for the new world media approach. There isn't a coach alive (or person really) that such scrutiny wouldn't reveal flaws and perceived weaknesses in one's profession. Even among tenured coaches like Mike Tomlin, John Harbaugh and Pete Carroll. It takes an organization and a team to win. A team that works together and rises above the imperfections of each individual by complementing each others strengths. Such a disgusting hit piece that isn't worth the electrons it is occupying in cyber space.
  3. I have to say McD had them contained for a while. No guarantee they win the game without that Offside call either. it should be put to a soundtrack. Got to hand it to Sean Payton......
  4. definitely an uncharacteristic meltdown and unsportsmanship. not going to do him any favors in the PR department.
  5. Neither Mahomes nor Josh had enough time unpressured to reach deeper recievers.
  6. I think they are playing better though- much fewer penalties today, only one TO, ST did better and Josh is playing smarter
  7. I tell this story every time this topic comes up. In the late 80s when I was single and responsibly wagering on games for the added thrill there was a certain Sunday where all the favorites were winning ATS including a late game was in the final quarter- I forget the teams. This was the final game to close out the day and the favorite was winning but not ATS. Maybe a point or two under the spread but moving the ball easily into field goal range which would have put them over. They were on the opponents 35 or 40 or so. The next play was a big gainer but was called back because of a questionable penalty. It happened THREE MORE TIMES in a row. This put them way back to their own territory first and 40 or something like that and they coundn't convert and it was the only game of that didn't cover. Coincidence?
  8. It really wouldn't take much to influence the outcome of certain games at the officiating level. Point spreads are on a thin edge and a few penalty calls or avoidances can affect the score and the results ATS. Extreme amounts of money on the line. People in a position of great power. People with money to tempt and corrupt those in power. As for some kind of pre-determined script on the season that is very doubtful and as you mentioned too many people involved.
  9. I agree and the reason for the consultant, call him a penalty reduction training black belt- is to keep the coach. The black belt would a temporary thing.
  10. hey, what happened to that funny firing squad post? Coach, consultant coach, whoever- being in the top 5th most penalties for the last 6 years is not an in-house fix. How many more wins does it have to cost before they do something already?
  11. Thank you for the summary, well appreciated ----and------ gives just a touch of hope for this team to squeak in and possibly win the division. They are capable. that's what i'm thinking too. the philly game showed us what they are capable of.... Interesting take- depressing and yet hopeful....
  12. Bills Most Penalized Team Rank 2023 Currently the most penalized team in the NFL (and it's killing them). 2022 16th most penalize team *still in the top half of the league's worst despite the cancellation of the Bengals game. 2021 6th most penalized team. 2020 6th most penalized team. 2019 9th most penalized team. 2018 6th most penalized team. I find it kind of ridiculous that the Bills have basically been in the top 20% of the most penalized teams in the league since 2018. While I support McDermott as the head coach, they seriously need to hire an expert consultant to address this issue. This year in particular as the most penalized team in the league, penalties could easily be the reason they do not make the playoffs. Fix it now....
  13. Agreed. Add to that list John Harbaugh and Pete Carroll. A team is the sum of its parts and the Bills have too many holes other than coaching to be a championship level team at the moment. I am coming on board of McD taking a leave because the Bills are the most penalized team in the league- and they have been up there in previous years too.
  14. Simpson was the best most exciting running back since his era. He was a credible threat to score every time he touched the ball- from anyplace on the field. A huge anticipation factor.
  15. Buy: James Cook Sell: Siran Neal Hold: Christian Benford
  16. we really need taron johnson out of concussion protocol and cam lewis to play. not happy with siran neal's play.
  17. Thank you for the info. I am sick of the nickel and dime aspect of having to watch the NFL and TV really.... I already paid for the YT sunday ticket and NFL network and now peacock.....
  18. Talent level- yes. Game smarts, decision making and maturity- no.
  19. I hear you but just do not see it.... peace.
  20. I am being serious. After all the media shows I listened to nobody asked him if he knows the playbook yet. Thank you for your info.
  21. you've been listening to those ultra negative afternoon radio guys on WGR. what waste of the airwaves.
