Garrett Grayson (Colorado St QB) is better than E.J. Manuel. If we can get him and a decent FA QB I will be thinking playoffs this year.

I know of at least two members on this board who have never, EVER coached a game in their lives. Schwartz is master @ the 4-3. Hughes and M. Williams can only work in a 4-3. You've just 1/2 neutered both of them cu'z neither one can play LB effectively.

Sorry bro. I coached 17 years in high school and JC and my son is coaching college ball in N,C and the thought that it will take less than an off season is simply ignorant. Harder even than in the pros than college due to restrictions in acquiring good talent. But otherwise you're spot on.

We took a an over-sized CLOWN shoe step back. Let's overhaul the great 'D' and change coaches and personnel (which will take about 2 years) and bring in this blowhard. Brilliant idea to go for the glitter name rather than someone who will know how to use our Rolls Royce receiving corps and has SOME knowledge of offense. Good God !

No: QB No playoffs... Bottom Line ---> no matter what great defensive mind we have as HC. I'd take Schwartz and our front 4 over Rex and bringing in his 3-4. But again no QB: No playoffs. And there's no 'developing' a corpse (EJM).

When spring comes around he could have a change of heart..... not like there is much competition for the job. And having a Head Coach who probably isn't even watching the game when the offense is on the field could be enticing.

Don't understand this hire. Dominating defense LY with 4-3 personnel. Ryan is a 3-4 guy. Also we need to generate an offense and he has no clue or desire. We needed an Offensive guru IMO.
