  1. To be honest, the Bills Doctors ability to recognize a serious injury to Everett and take the appropriate and quick action certainly helped Everett to recover as well as he has. But this has little to do with certifying a different player as a good health risk or not. Neck injuries are a tricky thing. And the fact that the Ravens withdrew their extension offer because Edwards refused another surgery, and Denver and Seattle both failed him on a physical for the same problem should send up HUGE red flags. Three teams Doctors say he should not play the way he is, the Bills Doctor(s) say he can. Sounds like a pretty big gamble to me both on the part of the Bills, and on the part of Edwards who is risking his (quality of) life.
  2. Geez dude, you are assuming already that this past draft is a bust? I understand your doubt based on this teams past performance, but I think we at least need to give this "new" regime a chance before declaring them losers
  3. Not much of a response in my opinion. I read a lot of "potential", "maybe", "just might" and "no sweat" to go along with reading history with red and blue colored glasses (Gailey being successful everywhere he has been ... I suppose it depends on your definition of successful but successful guys generally don't get canned with the frequency he has). That's a lot of eggs in the hopeful basket (and I hope all of your wishes come true), but doesn't refute anything in the article in my opinion.
  4. The silver lining to this being they should have their choice of stud QB's in the next draft.
  5. If it were possible to agree with this more than 100% I would! Which is why this past draft was a little puzzling to me. But, I don't know the master plan. Only Buddy, Chan, and a few others do. So time will tell if they know what they are doing or have their heads up their collective asses.
  6. If you are going to drink it, now is the time.
  7. Well you can probably point cases of that out on all teams if you look. How about a 1st and a 4th for Rob Johnson, then paying him $25 million, five-year deal that includes a franchise-record (at the time anyway) $8.5 million signing bonus for example. Then by 2006 he is on the Giants practice squad. I agree that Snyder tends to make that same mistake over and over more than most. But it happens to everyone.
  8. Skins Playoff appearances: 1936, 1937, 1940, 1942, 1943, 1945, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1976, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1986, 1987, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1999, 2005, 2007 If they suck, what is your opinion of the Bills when they actually play football?
  9. I feel this way as well. But remember, there are a group of fairly significant numbers that are entertained by the Bills regardless of the quality of the on-field product. These self-proclaimed "true fans" will buy everything you mention if the team goes 16-0 or 0-16 ... just as long as they stay in the B-Lo.
  10. I prefer the lingerie models trying to play football myself.
  11. Neither of the things you mention would have a significant impact on the area as a whole. A handful of businesses around the stadium including the people who rent out their yards for parking would of course suffer. But again, it is 8 days out of 365. And you don't really think the economic impact (taxes and expenditures) paid by players/coaches/FO-staff are significant when you are talking about the entire region? Now if it were possible to get a superbowl once in a while that could certainly make a big impact. But that's not happening without a nice big domed stadium (at the very least). You love the Bills and are thinking with your heart my friend
  12. I don't think the Bills are an embarrassment ... but you have to admit that for a large amount of people at the Ralph on Sunday, drinking is a very (some say too) big part of the "gameday experience". I have yet to see a justification for this to even remotely be true. Losing 8 Sundays (7 regular season and 1 pre-season) of restaurant and other local business is going to make the economy noticeably worse? Now subtract what every taxpayer (even the non football fans) pays every year for the team, facilities, and police etc and you think the net result is going to have any impact, much less a big one? You seem to be a sincere hardcore Bills (and Jills) fan, I get that and can respect it. But come on now.
  13. If that were true, then we would not have had the threads here about hating PigBen and Vick
  14. That's cool. But it is just as cool for someone else to say: I would rather not have them then have them suck for another decade. If you don't want people telling you how to spend or not spend your time and money, you should extend the same courtesy to them.. Just sayin ...
  15. We have a second receiver. What we are lacking is a first.
  16. Oh man, penis jokes just never get old.
  17. Should read ... A great line can make an average QB look good, and if you don't have a great line you had better have a QB that can take a damn good beating.
  18. Mired in mediocrity. His style guarantees you will neither lose a lot, or win a lot, of games in any season. And that GT fired him and bought out his contract to stop the bleeding.
  19. I recommend that you start drinking heavily and do not stop until she is back in Florida.
  20. I was warned by hardcore GT fans about Chan. But that is only one of the many places he has worked. I need a new pair of glasses, can you hook me up at the season opener?
  21. And that's all there is, and can be, so far. Let's face it, Ralph could hire me as HC and I could make the statement: Not only can we have dramatic improvement, we will have dramatic improvement and by golly you mark my words, the Buffalo Bills will be in the superbowl this season !!!!! Excellent rhetoric, but all BS. Give Chan and Buddy a chance. Don't piss in everyone cornflakes without seeing what they can do. But don't blow sunshine up everyones ass by claiming they are the second coming until you see what they can do either.
  22. No reason to be concerned. He is a 7th round pick. If he makes the team ... bonus! If not, who cares. The only reason there is optimism is because he was drafted by the Bills and this board is for Bills fans, and this is the time of year when even Bills fans can be optimistic. He probably will be on the practice squad if anything ... but every once in a while lightning strikes like with Brady.
  23. Never happen dude. I guarantee you that even if the Bills didn't break 8-8 and finished last in the AFC East for the next ten years they still would sell at least 40000 season tickets. To some it is like a badge of honor that they can get kicked in the teeth year after year but continue to buy the tickets, jerseys, Toronto (gag) tickets, and anything else the team wants them to. And if you don't feel the same way and keep giving Ralph your money every year then you are not a "true fan". I have no desire to tell people how to spend their money and if that's how they choose to spend it then more power to them. But there is absolutely no way what you are asking for will ever happen .... as long as they stay in Buffalo.
  24. People have been saying that for several decades.
